  1. Didn't New England franchise Vinitieri a year or two before he left? Their FO sure does suck.
  2. I should've known that with a name like moon. But yeah, she'll do.
  3. I wasn't trying to hint at the difference in the state of health down there, even though it's a major issue here. For many diseases, there is a difference between races. I think it would be funny if hispanics did in fact have a higher mortality rate from the flu. All this panic reporting would be even more idiotic up here in the US, well, for the non-hispanics anyway.
  4. There's a guy named Moon Bloodgood in Terminator? Well that seals it. I'm seeing that movie. Even though we all know he'll survive, it should be interesting to watch a movie where there is no guarantee that John Connor makes it through to the end. This should be a busy month for me. I'm sure I'll check out Terminator and Star Trek in theaters (two movies in one month is very busy for me). I'm sure I'll see wolverine at some point, just not in theaters.
  5. So has any non-hispanic died from this yet? I'd be curious to see if the regular flu has a higher mortality rate in hispanics. You know, these are little details that the media never bothers to look up or present.
  6. I'm really tempted to go running down the street screaming "OH MY GOD, SWINE FLU!". They did have 2 kids in the hospital a couple blocks away earlier this week who were confirmed cases. The media would love it. Who knows, maybe the swine flu would actually be credited for it's first true kill in the US if I accidentally ran into traffic.
  7. Yeah, the head shot doesn't tell us enough. I don't know how old the kid is, but he must be familiar with a paper bag.
  8. Do softball managers call for the hit and run very often?
  9. Most people? According to the CDC's website, SARS had a 9.6% fatality rate in the US.
  10. I was going to ask about that one. I never saw either movie, but the Friday the 13th remake that came out a couple months back wasn't a Rob Zombie movie. I really don't plan on ever seeing either movie, but if I'm bored and they're on tv, it might be good to know which one he was talking about.
  11. If that's the case, I'm very glad that I don't read other boards.
  12. Any CBs?
  13. He killed a pair of FBI agents while escaping at the start of the hour. And for those who are wondering, that was hour 20. So we have 4 hours left, which air over the next 3 weeks, with the usual 2 hour finale.
  14. I haven't watched any of it, but I'd have to imagine that a blue line anchored by Niedermayer and Pronger has a lot to do with that. I didn't get to see much of their struggles this year, but come playoff team, anyone that has those two back there is a threat.
  15. Or does Perez Hilton want to spark a little controversy and get his name in the news? He got the exact answer he wanted.
  16. I realize that it's a lock that he'll appear next season, but did they ever actually say that he was signed on for the cast? Would signing him to stay on with his role as executive producer get the same press release? According to imdb, Keifer's taking part in a movie called "Twelve". How lame is it that I think that's pretty funny?
  17. And it's always appreciated. I'm not sure if you've ever convinced me to see a movie, but I still look forward to this thread each month.
  18. Yeah, but remember, he was already trying to sneak out of there. If he draws any attention, there goes that plan.
  19. He's surrounded by FBI agents. If he shoots Jack, he blows his cover.
  20. Yeah, it's the wrong month to comment on this movie, but it better contain one of those "..and knowing's half the battle" moments.
  21. He could at least create a mini remote control robot Jack that would go through his body destroying every trace of the bio-toxin. It would be just like a mini-Ditka.
  22. I had trouble keeping interest in last night's episode. These transition hours can be a bit rough sometimes. It must be the near death thing with Jack. It just doesn't feel right at all.
  23. Your 3rd point was the big issue sticking out in my mind when I was tying that up. I guess they could claim that the US has the right to protect US based ships, but I don't know how these things work and whether or not that's a legit claim. As for whether or not it would fall under the Navy's mandate, I would think that protecting American's at sea would be an appropriate task for the Navy. Getting involved with any private shipping industry definitely has it's issues, but it might be worth some thought for any type of ship involved with humanitarian aid.
  24. How realistic would it be for the Navy to assign people to random ships as protection? They could stay on the ships with the rest of the crew as a part of their service to the Navy. The only cost to the shipping company would be the one or two spots on the ship. I can see how giving up space for a non-working member of a crew might be a major expense though. If a soldier just happens to end a couple attempted hijackings, it's going to make the pirates think twice about going after ships. I guess a big part of this would be the number of pirates generally involved in a typical hijacking.
  25. So Tony and Voight work for someone higher up than Starkwood. This better pay off.
