  1. I love the picture of Ted Cottrell that randomly comes up at the top of the screen. "YOU!"
  2. Nevermind the fact that people are running with this "Moorman is our best player" thing simply because he was used in the photoshoot. I guess that means Fred Taylor and Leon Washington are the faces of the Patriots and Jets.
  3. It reminds me of the Simpsons episode where the school gets a dress code. Once they see all those bright colors, they're alive again. The dark stuff is so incredibly boring.
  4. And as bad as it is, he's still not as bad as that japanese stereotype they were using a year or two ago.
  5. I figured I'd see Dallas on that list, but maybe they weren't as good as I remember them.
  6. He was creepy right from the start, but who had the bright idea of letting the guy talk? It's a million times worse now.
  7. Based on everything I've read on TSN, you may just be the only canadian who actually gets it. This has absolutely nothing to do with american cities vs. canadian cities.
  8. Why would they put it in the hands of someone who owns 6%? Wouldn't a majority owner be a bit more driven to turn things around?
  9. With her pushing around, the real threat is one of them stumbling back into traffic. She's also a threat if she's behind the wheel.
  10. The biggest near miss I was ever around, from a "that guy was definitely dead" point of view, was this idiot kid who was trying to impress some girls. They waiting to cross the street (on foot) and then the idiot kid decided to just walk out directly into traffic to impress the girls. It had to have been the dumbes thing I've ever seen. He stepped out right in front of a bus. Luckily one of the girls pulled him back. Quite honestly, an idiot like that probably deserves to be hit, but I was about 2 feet away and that would've been something that haunted me for a long time. I was within about 2 feet and would've been covered with the resulting mess (yeah, I feel a bit dirty saying something like that).
  11. There's definitely a bit of exaggeration going on in that story. If it hit him hard enough to send him flying and bury itself in the road, it would have to do a good amount of damage to his hand.
  12. I think it would be ten times worse if he broken her arm instead. "Hey, look at this guy who likes to beat old ladies".
  13. He tried to cuff her and she pushed away. At least I think I'm seeing a circular metal object in his hand when she pushes him away. At that point, he's looking at the potential of breaking her arm, which would really start the police brutality talk.
  14. So if their channel numbers are changing, will they change their names? Yeah, the numbers are really more symbolic at this point (except for those non-cable/dish people), but now they seem to be even more meaningless.
  15. Speaking of the whole grandmother thing. I love how each story mentions that she is a great-grandmother. Is that really necessary? Should people have a different reaction if she had no relatives?
  16. "I'm going to go crying to the media. Oh wait, they had a camera? Time to disappear." What a joke. I hope they follow through on the charges on this woman if for nothing else than the smear campaign she tried to launch. The cop was completely justified. Sure, he probably could've subdued her without the tazer, but that was by far the safest option. Any type of physical confrontation could easily lead to either of them stumbling backwards into traffic. Even if that doesn't happen, any type of struggle could easily lead to some broken bones for a woman that age. Yeah, a fall from the tazing could do the same thing, but coupled with the risk of traffic, that was the right way to go. Oh, and then there's that minor detail that he warned her multiple times.
  17. You're thinking of K Uger. Honest mistake.
  18. Maybe she really likes hockey, payroll processing services, and attempted take overs of state governments.
  19. Obviously it's not Golisano money, but she had to have built up a nice little sum of cash during her playing days.
  20. I would've thought that Seles was older than 35, but then again, I completely forgot that those tennis girls go pro at age 6.
  21. Morbo is pleased but sticky.
  22. Great news. I hope they pair it full time with South Park.
  23. I would think that a health scare like you mentioned would be the big one that inspires the so-called lazy ones to finally start going to a gym. I never fell into that category, but I knew I wasn't active enough, so I started going. Discounted rates through work helped too. One thing that definitely worked for me was finding a place either close to work or on the way home from work. Since it's on the way, it has become a part of my every day routine. If I was trying to go to a place close to home, I'm sure there would be plenty of days where I would say "screw it" and just head home instead.
  24. Who really needs their liver? There's nothing wrong with a good yellow glow.
  25. It seems like the rosters in pro sports turn over almost as fast today. The days of getting to know players are a thing of the past.
