  1. The big asset that isn't mentioned there is the arena. On top of the things gmac mentioned, there's also the money he's getting from the Celtics use of the arena.
  2. Jacobs has an absolute cash cow in the Bruins and the arena. I don't know why he'd ever sell them.
  3. Are you 6"4, 315 lbs? That's one factor I'm surprised that I haven't seen mentioned in this thread (then again, thanks to one idiot troll, I could have easily missed it). That's a hell of a lot of force to put on a surgically repaired leg... and that's before accounting for the added pressure from the typical actions on the O-line. He's got a long road ahead of him and hopefully all goes well.
  4. I hate diving. I hate turtling. I do appreciate the fact that he brings us powerplays, but I hate the way he does it. He's far from being a hated player in my mind, I'm just not a fan. I'd follow this up with a rant about how diving plays a big role in the increase in cheap hits and head injuries that are taking off in hockey, but that's a story for another day.
  5. Lydman did look ridiculously slow. Just coming back from a groin injury? That can't be a coincidence. I'm glad you mentioned Edwards, because his Kaleta ranting was beyond absurd last night. I'm not a big Kaleta fan either, but I would've sworn that Kaleta kicked a few babies and ate Edwards' dog while listening to his "calling" of the game last night.
  6. Haven't they already sold the tickets this year? How exactly would interviewing a bunch of big time coaches, only to go with someone else sell tickets in the future? They will already have signed a new coach once they start selling tickets for next year.
  7. I'm not sure why Perry Fewell even enters into the equation. He knows the exact situation he's in. I'm sure he's even been talked to about it.
  8. I really wonder how much these comparisons mean in today's game. The guys chasing the QB are much bigger, stronger, and faster than they were when Kelly was playing. Now, I'm not saying they're good reasons to pass on a player, but I do think that those kind of injuries are more of a concern today than they were when Kelly was entering the draft.
  9. It feels like it was longer ago than just that. It just goes to show how these 10 years blend together into what seems like a lifetime of suck.
  10. I'll admit to this one being a bit of a stretch, but since the team needs a GM and a big time coach, couldn't hiring a GM/coach be a money saving move? I don't think that's what they're going for here, but I'm kind of curious as to how the money would differ between hiring a coach AND GM vs. hiring one man to fill both roles.
  11. I hate the way ESPN puts that "Tim Graham AFC Blog" link and picture right on the side to make it look like Graham wrote that story. That might not be their intention, but it sure as hell looks like it is.
  12. Do they really have to tell him that he'd have a shot? I'd think that any semi-intelligent QB could figure that out just by looking.
  13. If someone were to die to blood loss after a crocodile bit off it's arm, I'd have no problem saying the croc killed him. But then again, I guess we're talking about another living thing inside that mosquito that does the killing. I'm overthinking this now thanks to boredom.
  14. Now I'm confused. This goes completely against the whole "guns don't kill people, people kill people" idea. Oh well, just thinking about Jaws' shirt, which you can't actually see in this picture, takes care of that confusion.
  15. Forget about twice in a row. Have they even had the same set of linemen available for two different games at any point in the season?
  16. I hope that league stays around for a while because in a few years, each team could have a failed Bills QB as their starter.
  17. I like hockey more than football. Others here like football more. Why does one person's opinion on the matter mean a thing to someone else? Poster X's love of football has absolutely no impact on my thoughts of either sport.
  18. It's really funny watching the pure hatred of him out here in Boston. I'll never understand why the fanbase out here can be so jealous over a guy who has won less than their team has.
  19. The only reaction it gets out of me is complete confusion.
  20. But this is the same rest of the country that makes shows like American Idol kill in the ratings battles. Clearly they know what they're talking about.
  21. There was a woman on the Today Show this morning whining over how this scam cost her $20. Way to pick them, NBC.
  22. I don't care what kind of damage they can do, I don't consider anything I can kill by simply stepping on it to be badass.
