  1. It was definitely an entertaining read. It just goes to show how screwed up rumors and reporting have become thanks to the internet.
  2. I love the first line of that quote. Pure comedy gold right there. I have to wonder though what exactly they talk about. Since it's the Bills webpage, they want you to think the players are talking about the organization itself, but I'd be willing to bet that they're talking more about the town itself.
  3. As a Buffalo fan, I like knowing that there are other teams/people out there who will never win the big one.
  4. Change the rules and eliminate 20 teams. Only a few minor tweaks is all it takes to re-create the olympic experience.
  5. Waiting to come back until they're at a course that doesn't allow women? Brilliant.
  6. I love when people complain about that stuff. It's usually pretty funny and pretty much always dead on. Then again, I bet the show would be incredibly crappy if CTU was a well oiled machine.
  7. Everytime I read this, I wonder which way they might have gone in 2008 instead if they had taken Revis the previous year. I don't know the drafts/talent enough to know what was available at the time.
  8. These things almost never bother me with this show, but for once, I was bothered by the plausibility of the EMP. There really wasn't much, if any explosion to go along with it. I guess it's supposed to be the future and they have some crazy advanced technology, but it didn't sit well with me. I guess I was hoping for the twist ending to involve the parole officer instead... something, anything to make that story worth watching.
  9. The ending was pretty lame to me. Oh well. The one thing I liked was how gullible the daughter was. We're going to go out of our way to have this argument about killing you right in a spot where you can see us. Oh well, yeah, I was annoyed by the EMP, but Jack and Cole fighting blind should be good for the next hour or two. Then it should be interesting to see who will be calling the shots with CTU out of the picture. And hey, no president for the last couple hours. That's a nice change of pace for once. edit: And really, can't the blonde chick just give the parole officer his stapler back so we can finally end that horrible storyline?
  10. Actually, this past week's Coach's Corner shows a bit of his history. There's some very telling video in there.
  11. It's obviously never the best source, but head to the criticisms portion of this link. He has multiple suspensions and has induced several concussions. Hell, he was suspended TWICE in 2009 for hits to the head. This youtube clip shows the two hits he was suspended for in 2009. The Walker hit is clearly late. I'm not really sure though how the Anisimov hit was suspendable but the Savard one wasn't. There may have been a little elbow in that hit, but it's tough to tell. It looks pretty damn similar though. Unfortunately, I can't dig up anything from his Vancouver days, but I'm sure it's out there somewhere.
  12. You may want to look at his days in Vancouver if you've never seen him play that dirty.
  13. Season 6 with Jack's evil family ranked last for me. It was an incredibly stupid way to go with a story.
  14. Sorry, jumped to conclusions when I saw the last name. The other seems to be a grade A DB though.
  15. You missed the biggest factor of all. Tiger may in fact be the most well known person in the entire world.
  16. Keep in mind, we're talking about the same sportscaster who thinks it's perfectly normal to joke about Hobey Baker's death while calling a hockey game. Controversy tends to follow this guy around.
  17. I don't think it's that bad this season. They ramped up the pace so much in the last few years and that's hurting the fact that this one is a bit slower. The blonde data analyst story is definitely pure crap though. I really hope she's beaten to death with the uranium rods soon. Even that wouldn't save that awful storyline.
  18. Bring back the mooterus! I haven't had the time to watch a lot of every announce team in the league, but I think Reaugh may be the best color commentator on any team broadcast. Even though they're a horrible team, I could watch the random Dallas game on center ice because of what he brings to the broadcast.
  19. Do they have anything that tracks whether holding penalties are the result of poor technique vs. the situation where they haul down a guy who beat them and has a free shot at the QB?
  20. I had one of these situations a couple months back. I was walking back to my office building from lunch when a bunch of cop cars came flying up the road, then surrounded my building. I figured that it wasn't the best time to head back inside. No SWAT team though, just 15-20 cop cars, then some media a couple minutes later (police station and news stations are both within blocks). As it turned out, a patient in a bipolar clinic stabbed his doctor and then was shot by an off duty security guard. Yeah, that was a fun day. I suggest you kick back and enjoy the show.
  21. I've always enjoyed any role I saw Brian Doyle-Murray in. I'm sure the average person has no idea who he is. He really hasn't done much in years though.
  22. Paetsch was just a throw in. The pick is what we actually gave up there. I'm totally convinced that it was a case of Darcy saying "hey, why don't you take Paetsch too". Monster season for them this year.
  23. I take it that Washington hopes to win a lot of 6-5 games. It should be entertaining if nothing else.
  24. The problem is that once the story of the surprise ending gets out there, you sit through the movie trying to figure out what it will be. I never even saw the 6th Sense, but guessed it immediately the second all that press started to come out. It was incredibly obvious. To me, any movie is a million times better when you don't know the twist is coming. That doesn't seem all that possible anymore though. I'm not going to try to rank anything, but a good twist ending I always enjoyed was the Prestige. I guess Christopher Nolan likes to go that route a bit too.
