  1. Absolutely. The right crowd can make for one hell of a good time. Probably the most entertaining time I ever had in a theater was at an incredibly awful movie that I didn't even want to see. A couple of my friends really wanted to see an opening night showing of Snakes on a Plane when it came out. It was worth every penny. There were so many drunks in that theater and obviously we weren't missing out on any fine cinema each time they yelled something out. I have no plans of ever watching that movie again since it was so awful, but man was that a good time. Another one that always sticks out to me was the opening night showing I saw for the South Park movie. I love that movie and can watch it all the time, but that theater experience was a fun time. And yes, the ticket prices are ubsurd. I used to go to a ton of movies around 10 years ago but now they've priced me out and I'm lucky to go to 5 a year.
  2. And then Donald shoots him in the face?
  3. And Wisconsin's backup goalie, Brett Bennett is from Buffalo. He was kicked off of BU's team before last season, so he missed out on the national title. Now he could win one with the Badgers.
  4. If they ever kill him off, it'll be a self-sacrifice. I don't know how they'd do it, but it would be very tough to top George Mason in season 2. I still say that was probably my favorite hour of the entire series.
  5. I've always thought that the appropriate way to end the series would be Jack dying. He's given everything already, he might as well give EVERYTHING. Then again, if they're planning on making movies, they can't kill him unless they want to go the prequel route in theaters. Oh, and bring back Aaron Pierce!
  6. They may not have the luxury of time here, but giving up on a 22 year old goalie is an awful move. Goalies are almost always late bloomers. If anything, they probably rushed him too quickly and that's why they are where they're at right now.
  7. I want to beat 4 teams in the playoffs. I don't care which 4.
  8. I know absolutely nothing about iTouches. Do those things actually have a built in microphone or would the user have to use a headset for it to act as a phone?
  9. That's the best part about framing a signed jersey, you only see the back.
  10. He definitely cleared out the entire net to Price's left.
  11. No, it's a restriction on wearing a 3rd in the year that you introduce new primary uniforms. From a marketing standpoint it makes sense, but I have no idea why it is a rule.
  12. Do we really want to talk about sports gods when Philly and Boston fans have won recent sports championships?
  13. There's one possible problem here though. When a team is moving to new jerseys, the league doesn't allow them to wear a 3rd unless it is a throwback. I'm not so sure how that 3rd jersey would count as a throwback. Maybe the team can get around this by claiming that either of the first two jerseys are actually throwbacks. Either that or they can claim that that 3rd is intended to celebrate the anniversary. Quite honestly, I don't see any purpose for a 3rd right now. Make a ton of money selling the new white jersey and then break out the 3rd when sales lag a couple years down the road.
  14. I upgraded my firefox and now I'm getting pop up ads complete with random audio and my malwarebytes program won't open. So yeah, I'm really enjoying that upgrade so far.
  15. Notice the point in my post where I mentioned they got on a hot streak? Anyway, if you want an explanation about Ottawa, take a look at their goal differential.
  16. If someone ever tells you that there is something that you should absolutely never ever do, ultimately you will need to do that exact thing to save the day. When on a vacation, it is probably best to avoid your wife's cousin Eddie.
  17. They have weak goaltending and defense. Yeah, they caught that little hot streak, and that is going to happen over the course of a season. Take out that stretch and their season has been very consistent. They're not very good.
  18. I'm probably stretching the meaning of the word stars, but watch any Seinfeld episode. It's amazing how many people had minor roles on that show.
  19. I'm buying that video game!
  20. Why would they invite so many people when the first round is all that happens on the first day? Are they going for something similar to the NHL draft where everyone is there so you have the photo op with the player getting his new team's jersey? That usually is a pretty cool moment and would probably be more entertaining than the non-stop talking heads on espn.
  21. I notice you guys talking about upgrading to 3.6. Over the last couple days, I've been randomly having a window open that says I should upgrade. I usually tend to stay away from windows that will pop up on their own like that, but is this one legit? I'd imagine going to website on my own would be the safest bet.
  22. I wonder how many messageboards out there have that same running joke. Now I'm kind of curious about what kind of sites are used for the same purpose on other boards. There's potential here for a blog or something like that, I think.
  23. Yeah, I was definitely thinking more of the internet than the writers themselves when I said that. The internet makes these things more readily available to the masses of idiots out there and things then spiral from there. The first example that comes to mind is the army of people out there who treat those Eklund NHL "rumors" as the Bible.
  24. I'm not buying it. I think any sane person would've cut and pasted the link out of a bookmark without ever actually visiting the site.
  25. The winner gets the cup, but what do the 2nd and 3rd place teams get, maybe the Hart trophy and the Lady Byng?
