  1. There was one or two somewhat boring transition hours in there at some point. That's going to happen occasionally, but yes, I've enjoyed the last few hours quite a bit.
  2. They can be tricky with those teasers though. I won't believe it until it actually airs on monday. But hey, at least Jack was very considerate when he killed Dana. Whoever finds her won't have too much of a mess to clean up thanks to all that plastic in the room. He won't be so considerate if he ever gets his hands on Logan. I'm torn on whether or not I want to see that happen though. There are so few good characters left. They'll need him when they go the movie route. And where is Aaron Pierce. It just plain sucks if this last season ends without him making an appearance.
  3. And you do it right as the person is in mid-bite so they can't actually respond, right? It's ok, you can admit it. I think it's actually a brilliant idea. It's one less second of dealing with the stupidity of people.
  4. I hate how servers have that uncanny ability to ask how everything is the second you take a bite out of your food. You're then left doing the awkward head nod because you obviously can't talk. Yeah, I know it's an intentional move, but man, their timing never fails.
  5. I hope that torch clip wasn't just a tease and Jack actually uses that torch.
  6. And you have to love the "some guy told me what they did, so now I'm angry" line of thought. Don't you actually have to see something to be offended by it?
  7. You posted that entire story just to sneak this one line in there, didn't you?
  8. Byfuglien is a name meant for the Sabres. I'm not too crazy about the money he'll get though. Still, he would be a big step up from Stafford.
  9. I would think that they're going to mention Brohm a bit more because he's the only one of the three who really has any upside at this point. Edwards and Fitzpatrick are what they are.
  10. Is that cap on total amount of money spent on the entire rookie class still in place?
  11. I just wonder if his message to them was something along the lines of "I have your phone, how about you give me a couple thousand dollars for it".
  12. Those same players didn't look lazy back in 2006. What happened? If the departure of two key leaders has that much impact, where does Ruff fall in all of this? If he's such a great coach, how did he lose those players?
  13. I pulled this link out of what Beerball linked.
  14. I just saw this today. I get a prostitution vibe from that commercial.
  15. They've gotten a ton of free publicity out of this one. I wonder if this move might hurt them now. As far as the journalist thing goes, how much freedom comes along with that label anyway?
  16. Yeah, absolutely. I have no problem with Lydman as a whole. I can think of a long list of defensemen I'd rather have him over.
  17. A scandal is a bit different than someone's property.
  18. Lydman absolutely sucks with the puck and that's something that will never change. I want to say it was him last night who was the direct cause of one of the 3rd period goals. Buffalo won a faceoff clean in their zone back to Lydman and he quickly threw it up the board blindly. Boston scored a couple seconds later off the turnover. If a team could find an effective way of masking this weakness, they'll be very happy with their signing.
  19. I'm just wondering just how much of an effort was made to return it. I'm guessing not much. The big question in my mind though is what exactly are journalists entitled to do? Does that journalist label give them a free pass to take apart and spill the details of a product that they know is not theirs? It doesn't seem right to me. Also, is it the state on the hook or the judge who signed off on the warrant?
  20. I know people who do exactly that and yes, many of them do deserve to be treated just the same as the guy posting something from him mom's basement. DrDank is right on about how criteria can be established, I just don't have the slightest clue how they go about it. If they put in a reasonable effort, sure, but I just don't buy it. I wish I could remember where I saw the pictures of the guy, but the whole thing seems fishy to me. Is the person taking the pictures the same person who claimed the phone after he left it?
  21. go golfing
  22. Maybe in the legal sense it isn't theft, but it's downright dirty. Whoever took it knew exactly who it belonged to and chose to make some cash off of it. I don't see how that is ok. You pretty much got my point. If one gets it, they all get it. Maybe scary isn't the right word, but I cringe at the thought of these thousands of wannabe writers out there all of a sudden thinking they're important.
  23. Maybe I'm remembering things incorrectly, but I thought I saw pictures somewhere of the actual guy who lost the phone. Either way, they knew exactly who the phone belonged to. They willingly bought stolen property. They then analyzed it before doing the "noble thing" of "searching" for the real owner. I'm sure this stuff goes on all the time, but that doesn't make it right. The real scary thing though is if bloggers are given those same rights as journalists. That will give a free pass to just about everyone out there.
  24. The problem I see is that they know exactly who it belongs to. Are you entitled to take someone's property just becuase they misplaced it? It definitely sounds like a decent case could be made for theft. I'm not the least bit familiar with protections allowed for journalists, but theft couldn't possibly be one of them, could it?
  25. And two cross ice passes to wide open forwards for goals. Miller might be able to stop those, but it's a near miracle when it happens.
