  1. Is there anything to stop him from watching some of these workouts the players have organized on their own?
  2. I like the timing, right when there's no one who can actually fine him for saying it (something completely missed in that short article).
  3. I miss those days.
  4. The October 21st thing isn't anything new though. He was saying that the world would end that day all along (well, after his 1994 miss anyway). I'll give him credit for sticking to his whack job guns. If people are dumb enough to give him money after he already failed on one of these predictions, they pretty much deserve to lose everything because they're idiots.
  5. There's a common misconception when it comes to elbows. It is perfectly legal to hit with the elbow, as long as the arm stays down. The penalty comes when the player leads with the elbow. If McNabb had left his arm down, it would have been fine, but his arm clearly comes up prior to the hit.
  6. Intentional or not, it's a clear elbow to the head. The suspension's warranted, especially since the CHL has been going after contact to the head (rightfully so). Owen Sound just lost one of the best players in the AHL there, so they're really going to feel that loss.
  7. He was 58. A heart attack at that age really isn't all that rare.
  8. I don't know. It seems like just about every Dylan song is better the second someone else gets their hands on it.
  9. I think that opinion is about as close to universal as possible.
  10. I missed this one the first time around when I read it. I assume you're talking about Little Fockers here? That one was pretty awful. Meet the Fockers was nowhere near as good as the first one, but your description doesn't seem to fit that movie too well.
  11. Was horse face in that movie? I don't expect there to be anything good involving her.
  12. He's down to about $2.895 billion in cash now. That well's going to run dry soon.
  13. We're looking at such a short window though. Obviously the Sabres are the best fit, but you'd have to wonder how many people would show up if they actually had some other competent parent organization, like, say, Detroit.
  14. "Are you not entertained?" You can have some fun with that one.
  15. But there's a major difference between injured with a contract and injured without a contract. I'm sure they won't be doing anything at the OTA level where much contact happens, but these guys need to be careful. Now, more than ever, we should know that this game is a business. Looking at it from that standpoint, any unsigned player (especially the rookies who have yet to make a single cent off of their talent) should be a bit concerned.
  16. I was thinking the same thing. I know a lot of these rookies are going to want to get involved quickly, but my guess is their agents are strongly advising against it.
  17. To be fair, the second movie I listed is only 3 years old. I think you definitely hit the nail on the head with one point though and I'm going to branch off of it a bit. There are two types of sequels: the ones that are made completely off of the success of the first movie and the one's that they intended to make right from the start. There's always going to be exceptions, but the latter tends to be a much better product.
  18. Or movies like The Empire Strikes Back or The Dark Knight. There's plenty of great sequels out there.
  19. Hey Hanrahan...
  20. I think Army of Darkness qualifies for a bit of both of those statements.
  21. I thought he was good in the 40 Year Old Virgin. It probably has something to do with him being the straight act in that one.
  22. I've seen one movie on that entire list (Leonard Part 6... come on, I was a dumb kid). Knowing my tastes, I was expecting a lot more than that.
  23. I'll go with Caddyshack too. I go to college hockey games out here and there's a defenseman named Noonan. I'm praying for the day that he gets a penalty shot.
  24. The thing about Tiger right now is that the stuff that is currently killing him (other than the injury, of course) is that he hasn't been draining many of the putts that have always been routine to him. I have a hard time blaming that on any physical ailments.
  25. Look at the monkey!
