  1. Thanks again Mark, but only one thing comes to mind after this one. I can't wait until May.
  2. I realize that's what it was. Unfortunately, I bet that charge doesn't stick. Unless he's got video there really is no way they're going to prove it. The rest sounds like it could be passed off as torture, so I hope they go as extreme as possible with those charges.
  3. And the best part? His car wasn't registered. And this reminds me of how much I miss Buffalo pizza. Everything I've had out here in Boston is so cardboardy (yeah, it's a word now). I'm sure there's a decent place out there, I just haven't found it yet.
  4. I wish some of these guys would start calling out the media for asking stupid questions. Tom Brady would have earned some points in my mind if he said something like this to Jerry Sullivan: "I'm about to play in the super bowl in Indianapolis against the Giants, why are you asking me about Buffalo hotel rooms?"
  5. If the spoon feeding is all that he did, legally does that qualify as molestation? I'd hate to see this guy escape on some technicality.
  6. I wish they had drawn out that storyline with Kevin a bit longer. There was so much potential there. And as for the characters, I've already mentioned Creed, but I've always been a Stanley fan. I don't know what it is, but I always enjoy any word he says.
  7. Where do they wind up staying when they're in town for a Bills game anyway? I can't even think of any thing major in the area of the Ralph. Then again, I've never really gone out looking for hotels there.
  8. Close your eyes and suck it out of a hose?
  9. I suppose it's what they're going for with her, but I absolutely hate her character. She's just a despicable human being. Other characters probably are too, but I've never gotten many laughs out of anything Kelly does.
  10. I couldn't help but wonder right away what was so special with it, that it actually buckles? But it's good to see that some people actually care. Hopefully it works.
  11. Yeah, a spinoff would never work, but I would absolutely love to find out Creed's back story, especially since he claimed that he stole the Creed Bratton identity.
  12. It seems like we know everything there is to know already about Dwight. The beet farm would really even be a new setting for him. Frasier worked because we really didn't know anything about his life on Cheers other than Lilith and the psychologist job. They were all completely new characters and Seattle was a completely new setting. If they wanted an Office spinoff, they'd be better off going with someone who they could have a clean slate with. Like I said earlier, Creed is the most obscure (and wow could they have some fun with that), but other than that, they might have some decent material for someone like Stanley or Kevin.
  13. It depends on which canadian team you're talking about. Everything up there, even their national broadcasts seem to be so Toronto-centric. The only team broadcast from up there that I can remember is Ottawa and (unless they've updated the announce team this year) those guys can be tough to listen to as a non-Sens fan. I tend to get national (CBC and TSN) broadcasts when watching Canadian teams, so they're semi-neutral already. And yes, Jack Edwards has to be the worst out there. The only thing even remotely interesting about his calling of a game is when he unwittingly uses terms like "reach around".
  14. That's awful. Spinoffs don't usually work with main characters. If they really want to do a spinoff, they should go ridiculously obscure and go with Creed.
  15. Local announce teams are supposed to be homers though. They broadcast directly to the fanbase. The thing that really bugged me about that Devils team though was the fake tv voice the play-by-play guy was using. It sounded like he was doing a cheap Vin Scully ripoff. And then there's that caveman Ken Daneyko in the intermissions. "Ken smash!"
  16. It's a cool story. How long until another small store owner decides to post a fake message online somewhere? I know I'd be thinking it after reading this if I owned a store.
  17. Didn't Harrison give a reason that was something to the effect of "he's only inviting us because we won"? I just found the quote: Wasn't the vast majority of the reaction directed at that mind-numbing logic?
  18. Just out of curiosity, remove the man Joe Paterno himself from the picture for a second. Is it possible to mourn the loss of the iconic symbol that Paterno was to Penn State? The way this whole thing played out in the last couple months with this collapse of a once great legacy, sad seems like a fair word to use to describe the whole thing. Paterno and his program meant a lot to so many people and his death is just another reminder of everything that happened.
  19. I left that one out because it's not the least bit subtle. Some of the other ones could potentially sneak by a few people.
  20. I'd be all for the government stepping in and banning stupid names like that.
  21. They used to give up a lot of low percentage perimeter shots. It really wasn't a big deal. Now is a completely different story though.
  22. I like the subtleties of the dogs dressed like Vader, Leia, Chewie, an Ewok, and C3P0 (ok, maybe not 3P0). Am I missing any others?
  23. This is where you would get the response that one idiot does not define a fanbase. The problem is there are thousands more where that guy came from.
  24. With you being a super genius and all, I'm wondering if I should bother to tell you to check your math or not.
