  1. Why does that found footage format keep being used? Is it simply about production costs?
  2. Trust me when I say this. You don't want to go anywhere near someone in the Brockton, MA area.
  3. I was always under the impression that only old people liked bit-o-honey. It's one of those flavors that just doesn't work for me at all. My dad would always claim any I got at Halloween.
  4. My brother has a daughter on the way. Thanks to family circumstances, they've locked in the last two initials as being "SS". Apparently they really like a couple A names, but they don't dare use them.
  5. I was thinking this was one of those cases of a rich old guy marrying some trophy wife. I guess not.
  6. People actually ate the banana ones? My brother would always leave every single one of those in the bag.
  7. I added two more numbers to the combination on my luggage. And hey, that set is just as likely as any other.
  8. Hey, if the world's going to end, I'll at least have that brief moment of glory knowing that Brady was the first to go.
  9. I'm a little confused as to why they went with the collapse of the football stadium in the trailer. That type of imagery really doesn't mesh with what they've presented in the first two movies.
  10. I thought that was basically the plan already. Every team is going to get one Thursday game (ok, not the Tuesdays/Wednesdays you're suggesting) each season and it will immediately follow their bye week.
  11. She's turning left and hit you with the front passenger side of the car. Does that mean she turned in front of you last second, you had no time to stop and ran into her?
  12. About 40 years too late it will land directly on Tom Brady.
  13. Ahhh, ok. For some reason I was reading that as the Academy Awards.
  14. Yeah, it's completely idiotic. There are plenty of times where I'm walking across streets and I see cars blow through red lights (it's a huge issue out here in Boston). I may have the right of way, but there's no way I'm stepping out into that crosswalk until I know that the car has stopped. I may be in the right, but I'm not winning that collision. The biker sure as hell isn't either.
  15. And if it was a PR move, I don't think it matters one bit. Either way she's done a great thing for this kid. And on that note, did he wind up going?
  16. I really shouldn't have thrown out that word "intellectual" here. I do think it was a smart movie, but what I was really going for was that it's not just your typical Michael Bay special effects-fest movie. The truck flip was the biggest effect and that wasn't exact flashy (very cool in imax though).
  17. I'm pretty sure mine was at 3.67 earlier this week when I gassed up. I've been meaning to post this one story though, so I'm glad this thread popped up. Over the weekend, I drove past a station that had their gas at 3.99. And that was the "cash" price. If you wanted to pay with a card, it was something like 10 cents more. Every other station was in the 3.60s. How can this place even think of going with that price? To go nearly 40 cents more than everyone else (because most people are paying with a card) in your immediate area is pure stupidity. You could even see another gas station from this one's pumps, so only pure laziness would lead you to not driving down the street.
  18. I had a Bruce Smith "leader of the sack" poster. It was nowhere near as disgusting as that name might sound.
  19. The Rachel character was definitely the week point of the two movies (both Holmes and Maggie). When they were working with established characters they did great, but creating Rachel from scratch really didn't work too well. Hopefully Catwoman will work out better this time since she's another established character. Do your negative thoughts on Bale in the Dark Knight go beyond the batman voice stuff? I liked just about everything he did outside of the batsuit, especially his interactions with Alfred. But then again, what can't Michael Caine do right? That's the one thing they've definitely had going for them in all of these movies. The casting has been great. Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman... and these are just supporting roles.
  20. Neither movie is even remotely near the mindless entertainment label. They are far more intellectual than any comic book movie that comes to mind and both were incredibly well written and planned out. I'm guessing that you're trying to tie these into the Burton and Schumacher movies, which is a big mistake. They're not connected in any way other than the character names. You should give at least one of them a shot some time, you may be surprised. Worst case scenario, you've lost 2 hours. It can't be any worse than watching a Bills game. As for the bolded line, take out the costume part and isn't that what 90% of movies are about?
  21. He's thrown that comment out in past threads at least once before. He's clearly never actually watched either movie. How closely related to Alien is it supposed to be? The things I've read make it sound like they're actually trying to stay away from those connections and it actually being a true prequel.
  22. It can't be that unbalanced of a number. If that were the case, nearly every story would be so obviously biased in the favor of the players. We all know there are plenty of crappy writers out there, but anyone who is even somewhat decent would quickly realize they're probably not getting the full story if they just keep reporting comments from agents.
  23. That's a lot of cops/firefighters. How long was he in there before he got that much of a response?
