  1. See, I was thinking about it from a different angle. Maybe we'll finally see less people starting the same thread over and over to complain about him now that they'll have to pay. If that's the case, thank you Buffalo News! Oh, and I was really hoping I would get a message saying I had to pay to read that link about how they will now be charging people to read online.
  2. It's not a bike issue, but my problem on those narrow streets is a little different. People driving in the opposite direction will swerve out into oncoming traffic giving a ridiculous cushion to the parked car. They are so much more concerned about hitting a parked vehicle instead of the one that is actually driving towards them. It makes absolutely no sense to me. First of all, you're not anywhere as close to that parked car as you think you are. Second, you're going to do far more damage hitting that moving vehicle head on.
  3. Why are they even allowed to waive someone who is out due to injury?
  4. If you want real fun, you should listen to the audio clip of when the guy called in the radio show. It was the kind of segment all radio host must dream of.
  5. And the biker who apparently wasn't stopping at that red light has more than his share of fault as well.
  6. Can we just get past this at this point? Yeah, I just assume he was doping at this point. Why do we even care anymore? As far as I'm concerned, every single pro athlete at that time was dirty. Let's focus on cleaning it up now instead of 10 years ago.
  7. What they're getting is not hype. They just get talked about constantly because they are on the edge of the biggest market in the country. ESPN is a business and they are going to focus more on their largest audience. It really is no different than WGR covering the Bills or Sabres. They're going to promote what the majority of their audience wants to see. If you want to search for a network that is going to cover everything equally, good luck with that. I'll see you in 80 years.
  8. I wonder if Neale has hit the point where he doesn't want to travel anymore. It wouldn't surprise me one bit since he's now 75.
  9. And then of course there's the 88 Oilers that went 4-1, 4-0, 4-1, 4-0. They lost game 3 in each of those series. There was also the screwy "tie" in game 4 of the finals against Boston due to a power outage in the Garden.
  10. Forget the 8 seed. No NHL team has ever done that before, regardless of their seed.
  11. I'm guessing that having people running around who will burn down a house simply because the owners are black doesn't exactly help neighborhood house values either. So you have to love the arsonist's logic.
  12. For all of these types of shows with these kind of tryouts, I've always had the impression that they do those street interviews after they've been picked. They've always got a ton of on the street footage with people who are picked.
  13. So at what level would do you think the fix is in? Is the kid lying about his background and changed his look just for the show or is the show itself behind the whole thing?
  14. I really wonder if his ego would get in the way of him accepting a work out somewhere. As long as he's financially stable (unlike TO), I don't see him going that route anywhere.
  15. And that movie has exactly what so many people have come to hate about Sandler. He's doing one of those stupid voices.
  16. I'm not sure what to read there, but the immediate question that came to mind for these app killers is whether or not they themselves run in the background and eat up battery life.
  17. But look at how they've signed about 25 WRs this offseason. They clearly want something decent on the outside. They did all of that AND released Johnson? That says a lot.
  18. And yet the still made it to the Superbowl.
  19. Back before my aunt got a computer, she would come over to my parents house, print the internet, then bring it home to read. I bet that's exactly what Al Gore had in mind. It was hilarious. The price of ink had to be a major pain though. And speaking of iPhones, I hear that she has now figured out how to send texts. Now that's a scary thought.
  20. Talent still doesn't guarantee success though. Take a look around at what qualifies as popular these days. People are dumb.
  21. The kid put the gas can in and buckled it up? I can't quite tell, but it also looks like he's wearing a seat belt. That's a whole hell of a lot for a kid that age to do unnoticed. I don't think they would stand a chance even with a good lawyer.
  22. My 70 year old aunt needs to print off anything she reads on the internet. It's hilarious. She'll print off 70 pages or so even if she's only interested in one little paragraph, never actually figured out how to use the print highlighted selection function. bbb, you're about to get a lot better battery life out of your phone now that you've learned that. They still die off pretty quickly depending on your use, but it will be better.
  23. But based on his appearance, I bet Rizo went on to a very successful career in the mafia. I once watched him interview a college player during a game broadcast and he (Eruzione) had a giant black eye. They didn't even try to cover it up even though he was on tv. It was hilarious and really solidified that mafia look he has going in my mind.
  24. That's all well and good but the topic is about teams, not individuals. If you want to spin that all into a case for that era's Yankees, that's fine. I'm already noticing a big difference in the way people are thinking in this thread. Some focus on a single moment or season, while others look at a much larger window then that. Depending on what view you take, that really shapes the conversation quite a bit.
