QB Sam Bradford traded for QB Nick Foles
shrader replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think there were this many trades in the last 10 years combined. Things have certainly changed in the NFL. -
Does anyone out there actually have one of these smart watches that any company has put out so far? I have a hard time seeing any way that these things are useful.

That's an interesting order. My brother just started watching these with his son last week. I know he started with Star Wars (that's the name I stick with, it annoys me that they have renamed it). I doubt he'll get into the prequels because his son might be a bit young for the burning alive in the volcano part of 6, but I might suggest that order to him.

But it completely ruins the reveal in Empire.

The A is very clearly for Alexandria, like Gary said... that and they're probably having some fun foreshadowing the future adultery

Thanks for that. I don't bother with watching Talking Dead. It figures that the guy who is one of the most important in the town is one who won't be around too long.

Sabres on NBC-NBCSN 5 Times Next Season
shrader replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
A random thought came to mind yesterday. I hope the Sabres can pull off a big surprise when they pick McDavid first overall. I'd love to see our fans' reactions if they handed him one of the original Sabre jerseys. If it has to be Eichel, then so be it, but if they could pull off a uniform change like that without it leaking, it sure would be sweet. -
The second video has a great angle of how she got hit. Wow, it looked brutal.

Two thoughts on the episode: 1. Given everything that happened with Shane and Lori, it's annoying that they're now hinting at Rick stealing another guy's wife. 2. The spinoff needs to be the Carol show. She has officially become the best character on this show.

I know Arizona's been really bad, but until Edmonton passes them in the standings, I still consider the Oilers as our biggest threat. Their goaltending is in the same range of crappiness as ours and they're still missing their best player in Hall. They've essentially been keeping the same pace as us in recent games. People continue to overlook them in this race, but they are still very much alive. -
Curt Schilling...good on him or gone too far?
shrader replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
"Congrats to Gabby Schilling who will pitch for the Salve Regina Seahawks next year!!" How exactly is this exposing her? That's about as tame as it gets. Is it because he named her? Let's face it, these trolls were going to find something regardless of what Schilling decided to post. I'm sure these weren't the first shots they had taken at Schilling on twitter. -
2015 Summer Movie Preview: Avengers, Jurassic, Pan, Ant-Man

I thought the only potential it had at this point was more storylines in the future. That way, you at least have no idea how it ends because no one is guaranteed to survive anymore. That's a big part of why the new Star Wars will have so much more potential than the prequels did. Forget for a second all of the crappy writing and the long list of other issues, I always felt that those movies were doomed from the start because we knew exactly how it had to end, Luke and Leia are born, mommy and all the Jedi die. -
I have a hard time picturing anyone making it from Richmond to Alexandria unnoticed unless it's a very small group. Rick and co. were watched the most of the way so anyone else would be too. We'll see how they explain that one away if in fact the people who destroyed that community do wind up showing up, but I can see it not making much sense.

I forget the specifics, but was Nolan brought in with the interim tag last year? Anyway, as for why would Murray keep Nolan for this season, there was no point in subjecting a serious coaching candidate to what they all knew this season would be. You let that guy sit and wait so that he doesn't feel the misery of a season like this one. -

Not as discouraging and disheartening for him as his pink slip will be. -
Here is my biggest head scratcher from the episode. Noah has a bum leg. Why on earth was he selected to be someone that would go out on supply runs? Yeah, he just made the long trip from Atlanta, but I'd be finding him some other job until at least that doctor gets a chance to check him out.

If Chad Johnson is in fact coming to us for Neuvirth, he better wear #85. -
Yeah, I thought the same thing. And one other question about that came to mind yesterday. I'm blanking on the woman's name, but she said her husband built the wall. They never flat out said it, but he's dead, right? There was no other mention of him and they didn't meet him.
-
I'm not really sold on the recon idea. More likely, I bet she winds up being kidnapped and used as leverage at some point. As for the husband, yeah, I don't think he'll wind up as being abusive, but instead the jealous type. He just reminded me of Mr. Carol for whatever reason. If by some chance he does wind up as abusive, they absolutely need to let Carol be the one to take care of that problem. And a quick question about the beginning. As they were entering the town, Carl saw someone in a window and then quickly the person was gone. I didn't catch a good view, was it an actual person or just a hallucination? For a second I thought he was seeing Lori. The beard removal deserved an entire one hour episode. It was a much bigger loss to the group than Tyreese was.

I remember seeing that one the day before I flew out for my college orientation. The opening scene I kept thinking "well, I'll have a fun flight tomorrow". Anyway, had to do a double take when Tom said it had been 20 years since the first movie, but I guess my little story of the 2nd one does put a good idea in my mind of how long ago that was, the last time I actually saw one of those movies. Anyway, my wallet's going to be hurting from a lot of movies on this list. I'm a sucker for the Marvel stuff at this point. They've done such a good job with most of them. Other than those, I'm not sure how many off the list I will see in theaters. I might consider Terminator because visually it should be fun on the big screen. That's about it though, maybe the wife will want to see Minions. -
I knew the beard was going to go eventually, but I had no idea it would be that fast. RIP Rick's beard. I shaved for the first time in a week this morning and I felt a lot like Rick. I get the feeling she's running recon for someone. I wouldn't be surprised though if it was just because she came in from the outside world too and still isn't in the right frame of mind. That way, she sticks around and winds up helping with character development for Carl down the road. She's so incredibly badass right now. One day into Alexandria and she's already undercover. I'm not sure who is the ultimate survivor at this point, her or Daryl. One very quick scene and that guy already reminds me of Carol's husband.

I've taken part in that post beanpot celebration several times. Short of wining the full thing, that's the super bowl of partying for them. Let's just say that I've seen all sorts of ncaa violations each year in February. I'd probably question Eichel a bit if he wasn't taking part in this. -

This Regier stuff really needs to go away. He's a glorified scout. He's not making trades. What is going on with the Coyotes has very little, if anything, to do with him.
