  1. This kind of thing is a fact of life each year at Christmas time. I'm amazed that people are just figuring it out now.
  2. At least they brought it to you. In my neighborhood when people get mail for other houses, they like to post on facebook and ask where they can bring it. If only there was a handy number system on each piece of mail to tell you where the houses are...
  3. Has it really been 25 years already?
  4. Each time I see someone mention OA, I just assume it's about the green lanterns.
  5. I search until I get the cart where the front wheel continuously rotates as I'm pushing it.
  6. If you’re looking for a good alignment, you must be searching for a long time.
  7. This reminds me of probably the funniest thing I've ever seen at a grocery store earlier this year. A rather large woman was walking her cart over, but as she got one aisle away from the corral, she decided to give it that long distance push and hope for the best. But just like all shopping carts, it immediately started swerving to the side. So she tried to run after it to stop it from hitting a car. She didn't even make it half way before it slammed into a car. I had to duck back into my car to hide the laughter.
  8. 1. Wheel cart to car. 2. Turn on car. 3. Load groceries into car. 4. Wheel cart with car to corral. 5. Bring kid back to car. Multiple kids complicate that a bit, but there are definitely ways to avoid leaving the cart at the spot. Sure, it takes a little extra work, but isn't that the definition of kids?
  9. I settled down on a theme I'm happy with. The problem is that I need a third poster. I'd put this one in the center: Then to one side this: None of the rest work though.
  10. This one is tough. I don't know if I could throw together a list and there's plenty of good stuff in here already. Scrolling through random posters online, I do have to say that the one from The 40 Year Old Virgin is pretty hilarious.
  11. I do t know a thing about this story, but after reading the second link... wow, that took an unexpected turn
  12. Who is he flipping off?
  13. only six teams really can though right now. I get the sneaking suspicion that there’s more to come around the sports world. While this may in fact be unprecedented, everything we’ve seen in the past three months has been as well. And we’re not coming out of those woods anytime soon.
  14. Im not one to dive into a list of possibly available players, but someone would come here for the same reason they sign anywhere... $$$ Reinhart will get a new deal this summer. Dahlin can, but that wouldn’t go into effect until 2011-2012. His cap figure and salary are locked in for next season.
  15. Long story short, there are a lot of open roster spots and plenty of cap space to fill them. It’s not the amount of space that you can go on a crazy shopping spree, but it’s more than enough to put together a decent roster if done properly.
  16. I don’t really know how the contracts work, whether or not it can be converted into an NHL deal. If he needs a new contract to be in the NHL full time, they need to terminate the old one anyway (if it had any term remaining after this year). I think we need to just let the dust settle a bit on this one. My guess is that some of the people fired will be back when the season rolls around.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor winds up on the NHL staff instead. That firing really feels like a formality in all of this.
  18. Amen to that. This is the biggest red flag I have with Krueger. I don't blame him for trying, but once it failed, he should have adjusted.
  19. You can't lose it if it's already lost. I think the board needs to start listing birthday's again so Mead can be kept busy with his old happy birthday PMs.
  20. Would anyone even recognize experience in the assistant GM role? I know I couldn't tell you anyone in that role anywhere along the league. Hell, I don't even know if we had anyone in that position prior to the current group. I only know of Greeley because I used to watch him play back in his college days.
  21. And then there's Greeley who was passed over for Adams. He was getting interviews over the last couple years and it sounded like he was and up and comer. Is he going to be out too?
  22. They haven't used the interim label on this just yet, but it has to be a transitional thing. It makes me wonder if they're just playing out that one year left on Botterill's contract.
  23. Ooh ahh, Sabres on the golf course
  24. I do hope there's a little more to it than just watching a pair of 50 somethings playing those roles again. That alone does look like it will have some fun awkwardness to it, but it does need a little more.
