  1. Yeah, they lighten him up a bit, but then there's still the part where he's stealing his people's wives and then rubbing it in their faces. I suppose that just makes him human, but that's the one part of his character right now that really throws me off. He's definitely living by a code, but that part doesn't seem to mesh with it.
  2. Where have you guys been talking about these things previously? I've got a neighbor who swears by his. I'd be curious to see what you're cooking.
  3. Even the way Morgan is over-acting the role is cartoonish. It can be grating at times. It was a good one last night though. Other than the multiple wives thing, Negan does seem to run things really well. They've got a good structure there with those rules that would definitely keep things going for a long time if his ego didn't wind up getting in the way. I am 50% more into him right now though. So who let Daryl out, Dwight or the wife?
  4. I'm not going to judge how you spend your free time
  5. So 3 centers on the 2nd line and 0 centers on the 4th line? Makes sense.
  6. The Jagr note in there really makes you wonder where his numbers would be if he hadn't left the NHL for three years. He'd be the all time games played leader now, and that's without even factoring in three lockouts and a strike. He needs to come back next year and break Gordie's record (yes, Gordie's got those games in the WHA that aren't counted).
  7. I bought a plush Jack Eichel for my niece and it was delivered here today. Now I kind of want to keep it. She'll never know. Anyway, it never ceases to amaze me how the truly great players wind up scoring so many goals like that game winner. If you just see the highlight, it looks like pure luck. But there is so much that leads you to that very moment. Now Larsson, that one was pure luck.
  8. Thank god November is over and those awful pedo-staches are gone. Foligno I get, by I have no idea how Moulson's wife let him out of the house like that
  9. Yeah, they didn't exactly try to make that a difficult one.
  10. Now if only I could find a picture of the not-Heath walker. I probably don't want to ruin my crazy moment though.
  11. I know it wasn't his wife. She just reminded me of her and it's a fun ludicrous scenario to play out in my mind.
  12. When will people learn to hold their phone sideways?
  13. Absolutely. Even if you're upgrading your 12th forward, you're still making the team better. Grant isn't an NHL player.
  14. I like to think that she was Morgan's wife because that would make perfect sense. I haven't seen the first episode in a long time, but she is who came to mind after they showed that woman.
  15. I'm not sure what they do at center, but if Deslaurier returning knocks Derek Grant off this roster, I'll be happy. He's just not an NHL player. I know calling out a 4th liner doesn't mean all that much, but I just don't see much of anything from this guy.
  16. Okposo is no slouch either. His skill is so evident out there. I think as time passes and they get used to having everyone out there, he will be the most likely to explode.
  17. She was pregnant when they shot last year's season and then had the kid when it was airing. I remember hearing that on Talking Dead at some point last year. I wonder how long it was between having the baby and then going back to film this episode. The two brief Heath scenes make it very obvious that those were shot first and then she came back at some later point to shoot the rest. I'm surprised that you can't stand her. I don't remember a single thing about the character. They were talking about the humor in the character last night, but I didn't not remember a single bit of that in previous seasons. She's just so damn minor to the show. She's the random guy sitting at a table in that restaurant above Cheers. But then again, that would make Heath the janitor over at Harry's.
  18. And how long has it been since we actually saw her. She's already a very minor character, but then have her completely disappear for something like 8 episodes? I can't imagine too many people cared about this one at all.
  19. I guess they're going to wait and see how 24 does before they decide what to do with Heath. For now, he's been abducted by Jack Bauer.
  20. I bought a new 60 inch tv back in October from Costco. There was something wrong with it so I just returned it this week. I got a new one and with the price drop thanks to their Black Friday prices, I got a sound bar to go with it without spending anything extra. Works for me
  21. I really hope that Vader's limited role in the movie is to show up and kill the wannabe Jedi in like ten seconds.
  22. Someday they'll realize that the all star game doesn't matter. They should let the very few fans who do actually care to have some fun.
  23. I wish they would extend the length of each episode. Instead of dedicating an extra hour to Talking Dead, cut that in half and give the extra 30 minutes to the real show. I realize this has an impact on the production side, but it would be a much better use of the time. As for the thought of not focusing on a single group per episode, I hear you there. The Kingdom seemed pretty interesting and different, but now we've gone almost a month without seeing them.I think if the show was longer like I suggested above, it would make it a lot easier to jump around a bit within the episodes.
  24. I think we need to sit through a bit of character development and wait for the big payoff that will be the war. It's next to impossible to introduce as many new groups and people as they are now without investing a ton of time into it. The whole thing is a bit too ambitious for a show that runs for only 8 single hour blocks, then disappears for a couple months.
