  1. Nothing like the "Boomer"..... GO BILLS
  2. She was a very attractive lady. Likely far better than most around here (including you) have probably had or will have. Classless a%^S%
  3. I guess that makes you a "Lucky Man"....but hey, let's not have any, "Fanfare for the Common Man"..... (oldies but classics)
  4. I definitely get it and the original song sucked, really big. It always amazed me the airplay that piece of garbage got.
  5. Gold Medal in the 1968 (surely OJ didn't run in the Olympics after he came to the Bill)s: USA won the 4 x 100 relay - Charles Green, Melvin Pender, Ronnie Ray Smith, Jim Hines (I don't see OJ there anywhere?)
  6. Relax there KC, no sense in dredging up old piss poor disco tunes.....
  7. Ditto, what's wrong with simply, "CJ Spiller, RB, Buffalo Bills"......jeez
  8. I also believe it's a bad idea, mainly because of the physical wear and tear on the players. Removing two pre-season games, of which the starters are likely not to have played more than two quarters combined, isn't a balanced trade off. There is no good reason to extend the season other than for the sake of the Jerry Jones type owners. The greed of the NFL, owners, players, etc., simply knows no boundaries.
  9. You forgot to mention "scatter shot arm".......great throw, bad throw, horrible throw, decent throw, bad throw, horrible throw, who the heck was he throwing to?....etc. etc. etc.
  10. May I add my thanks as well. Great site!!!
  11. I don't claim to have a clue who it might be, but I have to believe the Bills are still looking for another tackle, preferably one that can man the left side, even if only for a year or two. A trade or a camp/preseason cut is still out there.
  12. As it should be until the Bills can threaten the defense with a passing game. With Gailey preference to begin with the run, I'm sure he understands that even then, defenses have to be kept honest enough to play pass defense.
  13. Bill, we knew this choice wouldn't please you, but After the top two LTs were gone, Spiller was the right choice, and not for ticket sales. He has the talent, and speed, a rare combination. He can add another dimension to our offense, which is sorely needed. I would have liked a top Tackle, but it didn't happen. As you pointed out, the rest of the draft wa a bout getter bigger or stronger or both, which the whole team needed.
  14. An "A" is a stretch, but then the real grade won't be known for a couple years from now so who knows. In overhauling the team, especially the defense, I too believe the Bills made solid progress with this years draft.
  15. 53 man rosters cannot be overhauled with 7 draft choices (sure we had 9, 2 - 6ths and 2 - 7ths), but this change to a 3-4 meant the Bills had to have some new meat. Once this direction was taken, it meant clearly that the focus would be here and with that, I cannot disagree.
  16. Exactly.... That as well as the Seahawk's obviously not offering enough to make it happen.
  17. Franchise QB's are found only on the top 3 picks in the draft? Tell that to Montana, Brady, or even 1st round picks like Kelly and Marino? Romo went undrafted.... Utter failure to address O-line? The tackles they liked were already gone so Spiller to them was the obvious choice. Take a very talented guy, or pass on him for a "need" pick that you're not really sold on? Nix spoke about this after the draft. Again, Nix wasn't splashy enough for you it. Fine, we got it. I like what Nix said shortly after being hired as GM and that was that he drafted "football players", not workout warriors or the biggest "names". He watches tape. He and his scouts watch kids play. Personally, I would have gone Clausen in Rd2, but Nix and Gailey clearly were not sold on him. We'll see how it plays out though as it appears that we did get help for the DL, which we SORELY needed., so my initial disappointed as subsided a bit. Maybe they will be able to pull out a silk purse from the sows we believe we have at QB now.
  18. Let him? Heck no, push him....
  19. Stroud is about 5 years past being worth anything in trade....
  20. Our O-line got our top attention last year and we came away with Wood and Levitre who played well. Did our line need more help, like a LT? Sure. The Bills have much work ahead of them to get the O-Line better and I hope they keep pursuing help for it, even after the draft. Yet, did you see teams run on the Bills last year? There existed a huge need to upgrade our DL as well. Stroud played poorly, and Kelsay flat out stunk, particularly against the run. Williams you say? I like him, but for every play he made, a dozen plays went by before he was heard from again. He plays hard, and his effort is never at question, but this game is about results and he is not the kind of player who can consistently take on multiple blockers. Williams (to me) belongs in a 4-3 and with our switch to a 3-4, his value to the Bills dropped. He is also not a DE or will he ever be one. Buffalo had to get bigger on the DL and they have. They also got two of the strongest guys (and no, they're not Lief Larson types) at positions of need. Splashy? No. Likely solid picks? Yes. Besides, with our 1st, we made quick a "splash" already.
  21. Troup analysis from NFLDraft Scout.com: Analysis Pass rush: Bull rusher who often pushes his man (or a double-team when fresh) to collapse the pocket using leverage. Able to rip off blocks, punch and swim over the top, or even get under the arm of guards to pressure the quarterback if he hangs onto the ball too long. Limited burst; will provide some heat but not many sacks. Sits on many obvious passing situations. Run defense: Stands his ground against single and double blocks using his girth and strength, although he lacks the quickness to split the double. Can be violent with hands to free himself. Able to sift through trash inside to get to ballcarrier. Moves laterally while engaged to stay in the play. Needs improvement avoiding and recovering from cut blocks. Explosion: Quick and powerful off the snap, penetrating easily against man-up blocks. Good balance after initial contact, keeping pads low and moving forward. Loses steam coming off the ball throughout the game. Strength: Very strong player; prime nose tackle candidate. Uses a low center of gravity and thick upper body to gain leverage. Able to stack his man and disengage to chase the quarterback or wrap up ballcarriers. Tackling: Has length and upper-body strength to bring down most any player in his immediate area. Willing to chase down players but lacks burst to track them down from behind without help or consistently make tackles outside the box. Doesn't change directions easily, and can be eluded in space. Must keep his feet moving instead of relying on his strength to make arm tackles. Intangibles: Hard-working, unselfish leader with a quiet sensibility. Consistently gives good effort inside whether rushing the passer or stopping the run. No major character issues. Worked off 30 pound of weight during his career to gain stamina, although he still carries extra around his midsection.
  22. Gruden looked over Spiller and said that he liked that he was a willing blocker, but that he would have to work on it to be a good back in the NFL.
  23. ????? Parella went on the play a number of very solid season with San Diego. Excellent against the run. Derrick Burroughs was playing well and showing signs of being very good, until he was diagnosed with a neck defect that ended his career. Ronnie Harmon was a nut case, and the gut who dropped Kelly's perfectly thrown pass to him in the endzone that cost us a playoff win against the Browns (1989 season playoffs), but went on to be a very solid 3rd down back, also for San Diego. Eric Flowers and Tony Hunter were total wastes. Ryan, seems you need to brush up a bit on your research. Busts are guys like Eric Flowers, Perry Tuttle, etc....
  24. Innocent, Guilty? When did he go to court? Innocent legally may also may well be a far cry from innocent in reality. Clearly he has a problem. Another jock who thinks he can do whatever he wants. (Oh, and OJ was found NOT GULITY, which again is a far cry from innocent.)
  25. Wilfork got a nice contract. Yet, I can't help thinking of Ted Washington as one of the best NT's to have played the game. His production compared to Wilfork's was double. in 1996 for example, Ted was in on 70 tackles, and had 3.5 sacks, and no one took up multiple blockers better than he.......
