  1. Well said Doc. As A PR, he had 4 very good years with only last year being sub-standard. While he was in Jauron's doghouse which cost him playing time and opportunities. A clean slate may be just what the "Doc" ordered for Roscoe. WR cuts may well be very interesting indeed, especially of one or more of the UDFA's end up showing real potential/talent. We currently have Roscoe who really hasn't shown he's a viable WR, Steve Johnson who despite his fan clubs hasn't shown much, Hardy who needs to show something now, and Felton Huggins who is perennial camp fodder.........
  2. He reminds me of no one, yet! Give the guy a chance to play first for pete's sake. He hasn't even taken a snap yet. When 2010 ends, then at least there may be a body of work in which to evaluate his play and compare him a bit more knowledgeably.
  3. .......and the broken record played on, and on, and on, and on, and.........
  4. Well, that's fine for you. While its does not always apply (Terry Glenn 90 catches as a rookie, for example), in Eric Moulds case, it definitely applied. As is usually the case, the reality lies somewhere in between.
  5. .....up his azzzzz? (Just kidding.......just couldn't resist the blatant setup)
  6. Billy Kilmer? No arm, no real QB skills at all, but was tough as nails. The best thing about Kilmer when he played for the Redskins was that Sonny Jurgensen was his backup (late in Sonny's career). Sonny was an excellent QB.
  7. Defenses merely had to keep Flutie in the pocket to render him far less effective, which all of our opposition did in 1999. That was their focus and Flutie's play suffered considerably. Yet, as poorly as Johnson played, one could still make the case that we may have been better off in a big game to have Flutie play rather than Johnson. However, any talk of our advancing had the Bills beaten the official/Titans is silly. As already pointed out, our offensive line was in pitiful shape. Fina was hurt, Hicks (RT) was hurt, as well as others. Our Offense didn't have a chance no matter who we would have played next.
  8. Actually, Moorman had his share of miscues last year and wasn't the same guy form a few years back. He's good but he slipped a bit. I hope he can rebound, but even more so, I hope we need less of his services than we've needed for the past number of years. Kelsay effective against the run? Wow, where did that come from? When has he ever shown that he could be effective against the run? Yikes....
  9. You might wish to try this then. TO showed he still had the ability to get deep, beating single coverage (as long as it wasn't Reavis providing the coverage that is) occasionally. However, the rest of his game is gone gents. He has no heart to go over the middle and on the rare occasions he di, he had serious alligator arms and hands. He dropped numerous balls, which he has always done, but with the bulk of his game diminishing, that is now a big problem. He also had numerous times where he could have fought for the ball, but never did. Some were intercepted, more fell incomplete. Sorry, but the TO you saw last year must be a different one than the one I saw. With no fight in him or the desire or ability to come back on the ball, I'm glad he's no longer a Bill. TO was signed for one year, and he did nothing to deserve another, either with Buffalo or with anyone else.
  10. Nix may simply be waiting to see round 2 of FA (camp cuts), to obtain a qualified short term fix to LT, that is unless of course, he feels Bell can be that guy.....
  11. .............and that, my friends, was his last good game.
  12. "Not so hot senior year", yeah, that's the line. Yet, in living in the Lousiville area and watching most of the Cardinals games Brohm's senior year, I'd have to say he still played well. He was over shadowed by a defense that couldn't stop a team of 80 year olds. Of note (wikipedia source): Brohm had an injury-free season in 2007, completing 308 of 473 passes for 4,024 yards for 30 touchdowns with 12 interceptions, giving him a QB Rating of 152. However, Louisville struggled and finished 6-6, failing to make a bowl game for the first time in 10 years.
  13. Where does one find info on who is signed and who hasn't for all teams? Seems like a lack of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round info. My google attempts came up short. Shouldn't a batch of signings start soon? And if CJ Spiller holds out, it may be more due to those above him and below him not signing. Once the others begin to sign, the slotted nature of signings and for the size of the contract, is pretty much established. I hate hold outs. We need him in on time to get ready...
  14. You are both very, very sick.
  15. You clearly have underestimated Schobel as well as you're likely to have a rather low comprehension of the game. Schobel was not a dominate player, but he was a very good player.
  16. Outstanding find, thanks!!!!
  17. Couple points. --- You are just noticing this (re: Ice) --- We seen many poor performances from Edwards, yet only one from Brohm, in which he operated behind a makeshift O-line, and had only a third of the playbook available to him? Sorry, but that single game we saw Brohm play in (against Atlanta) isn't anywhere enough to make a legitimate evaluation of him.
  18. Folks, you all might wish to visit ESPN.COM and/or Twitter as Adam Schefter has stated that Crowder is not out for the season....
  19. If you're going to rebut a poster opinion of the biggest Bills bust, then give something to back that up. How about Al Cowlings, Perry Tuttle, Erik Flowers, Phil Dokes, etc., all were far worse......
  20. Wow, I can't believe how many have chimed in with "he's not that bad", with respect to his accuracy. I give you all that he can make a nice throw here and here, but sandwiched in between the good throws are some really poor ones (sometimes wide, often short and in the ground, etc). The poor throws outnumbered the good ones. ....and he does force passes and no excuses for poor protection, etc. For far too long we've made excuses for our QB's. Perform to the caliber required, or find a new job. Fitz is a semi-capable backup at best.
  21. Let's not get carried away here. Fitz does bring a some desired intangibles to the table, but he also made quite a few poor decisions on his throws last year. I recall him getting lucky and not being picked off more than I cared for. Also, when a QB makes one good throw, followed by two poor ones, he's shown he cannot be the guy. Consistency is very important and Fitz is anything but.
  22. Revis should be told, "your under contract and we expect you here. If you decide not to show, you will be fined." I haven't any issue with players negotiating new contracts or extensions when they have only a year left on their contracts, but if they have two or more years, the owners MUST have to fortitude to not pacify and over pay these overgrown children, such as Revis.
  23. That was the norm in 1973 (Fergie's rookie year). I believe he only averaged around 14 passes a game. It was OJ right, OJ left, Braxton up the middle, OJ out of the I, pitch to the right............
  24. While Jauron was a bad HC, yet we did have worse. Some that come to mind were Harvey Johnson, Hank Bullough, and I'm sure a few others may add one or more to this.
