  1. Your comment under Wood (avatar), are way off base.
  2. Yes, being a fan of a team playing badly and losing is not a fun time, yet you realize this is only a game don't you? That is of course, unless you're employed by the Bills, in which case....Get out !!!!
  3. You just had to bring up Pat Williams, the single (although not the only) biggest reason Tom Donahoe should have faced a firing sqaud rather than simply being fired.
  4. I don't trade Poz, nor do I like the thought of trading Evans. Whitner? I would take a veg-a-matic for him. Lynch? Debatable, but he could have brought something. Previously I was dead set against trading Lynch, so I guess I'm beginning to waffle on this a bit...
  5. Jeez....what does his being white have to do with anything? This racist bullstuff is so weak....
  6. Lee strikes me as a very good, number 2 receiver, but has shown to not be able to carry the load as a number one guy. Seems to be far too easily taken out of the game. His drops today certainly didn't win him any points either.
  7. This year kinda reminds me of 2001. The beginning of the Tom Donahoe era, with Greg Williams who promised us an energetic, aggressive defense and team, only to give us crap. New regimes having to rebuild do frequently have rough beginnings. With this said though, it only makes the extension of Kelsay that much more perplexing. Why drag known mediocrity along with you through the process? An undrafted FA could be playing better than him.
  8. Wow, how soon we forgot 2001. Is this the worst yet? Could be but we're no where done tallying the years output. 1968, 1971, 1976, 1977, 1984, 1985 were all very bleak years as well, as were a number of other as well. 1967-1971 was about the worst things could be for a 5 year period.
  9. Dierdorf did....
  10. Hummm, and since both Parties tripped over their own junk to give them, who do you hold accountable?
  11. If only you had just gone away...... Lori is class, something you simply don't understand.
  12. RT Green should be first.......
  13. The last 10 years has been slowly draining my passion ..... Back in the late 80's and the 90's, I so looked forward to the next game.....
  14. That last score by the Jets was a pitiful display of (...I can;t even call that defense).... George Edwards has proven that he's an idiot, and Chan is on his way to a very short tenure....
  15. While trying not to over react after a horrible loss, I also disagree with the extending Chris Kelsay. He' not tough against the run, can't rush the passer, and his coverage skills are that of of a DE, non-existent. I don't care how nice of a guy he is, or how well he's liked by the FO and his team mates. He simply is a mediocre to poor player and always has been. The much vilified Ryan Denney outplayed Kelsay. Denney's gone, yet Kelsay remains. What do they see in this slug?
  16. Jeez, what game did you watch? Other than that one 4th quarter series when Williams got a coverage sack and pass knock down, I wasn't impressed with him at all. I did see the entire Bills D get gashed play after play by average RB's. In a 3-4, the NT must be dominating and he was anything but. The time that the Bills used the 4-3, he looked average at best. I like the guy's effort and all, but we need far more production from him, period.
  17. OK Nostradamus, what are Wednesday's lottery numbers since you can see all?
  18. Obama isn't a Socialist.....never mind....
  19. There is an air of reminiscence....
  20. While there are good things to say about Ralph Wilson, it has long been known that he will not spend top dollar for a GM, HC, etc. The loss of Polian (and no, not Butler who basically got to ride out what Polian built), was the end of a quality front office. Player payroll wasn't the issue through the 90's. Ralph spent plenty on players. When Donahoe became President, first they escaped cap hell, then spent on some big name FA's (Sam Adams, Takeo Spikes....) so things were looking up. A real President and players too, but that fell apart and along with the brief return of Marv Levy, the Bills began the cash to cap crap and while still paying too much for some guys (Kelsay for one), getting the balance sheets in order seemed to be priority one, not winning. Are the Bills clean for a sale, yes, and I'm sure that was very much intentional. It's a shame that Ralph has refused to consider selling the team to local investors (Jim Kelly's group comes to mind and has wished for the opportunity. Ralph should sell now. He should have sold the team when he went cash to cap. Yet, sadly it will be an estate sale in which there won't be a Ralph around to even try to work out a deal with Buffalo's interests given some consideration. It will be strickly about the Benjamins...... So sad....
  21. Your voice of reason is so sorely missed..... Thanks for surfacing....
  22. Who was a far better player than Trent ever hoped to be.
  23. Outstanding LB is his day, but that doesn't necessarily translate into him being a good HC. I might add that Singletary will be lucky to finish the season.
  24. Thanks for the injection of reason into a thread that sorely needed it. Jerry Jones did say that he probably pulled the trigger on Gailey too quickly. I doubt there's any reason for Jones to say it if he didn't mean it. What would he care? As for Aikman, he was one more concussion short of permanent brain damage and had clearly lost what made him the QB he was in the early 90's. Easier for Aikman to blame Gailey than to accept his own demise.
  25. From this fan's perspective, it is a mistake. Greed? Obviously. Jerry Jones, Dan Snyder, Robert Kraft, etc., are all tickled pink with themselves. Now will they be able to get the NFLPA on board? Will there be an NFLPA if the owners move to a lockout? It may be inevitable, but done deal? I think not quite yet.
