  1. That would be nice, but we all know the Bills haven't any Luck, and they don't seem likely to have any any time soon.
  2. Referring back to PTR and for reasons he stated, it won't happen unless Fitz gets hurt.
  3. Who knows what's changed. Same guys, no picks and when one appears to be coming our way, it's dropped. But, to ask for less Fitz complaints, like respect for the Bills, that will come when he finds ways to win a game instead of throwing his multiple picks in the 4th, which has been the case more often than not. His inconsistent accuracy is more than fair game as well.
  4. Fez, it's been long rumored around here that you're on DirecTV's payroll. I don't care about that, but how much do they pay you?
  5. Yesterdays injury to Parrish is reminiscent of an injury Thurman took his last year in Buffalo. He took a quick throw from Flutie aro0und the line of scrimmage that was thrown very high and as TT went up for the ball, he open his mid-section wide to get killed, and he did. Cost him 10-11 games. Parrish goes high and wide for yet another wild throw from scatter-arm Fitz, and lands awkwardly trying to make a very important catch. Sometimes QB's throws leave WRs defenseless. As did Thomas, Parrish (and the Bills) will pay a high price for this one from Fitz. I amy be over-reacting, but Fitz's wildness and penchant for 4th quarter interceptions is driving me crazy. Helps get us into a game, then ends it with his 4th quarter misfires.
  6. It's not just making mistakes, it is more that his accuracy fails him frequently throughout the game. With the game on the line, the failed accuracy increases exponentially.
  7. Johnson has been a very pleasant surprise, but from the word of Fitz last week, teams still cover with with a single guy and reserve the doubles for Evans. I too like what I see, especially the past three weeks, but lets not let hyperbole rule the day. We'll know he's a number 1 when teams rotate coverage his way and begin to consistently double him. Heck, Evans drwa the double coverage last year allowing Owens many single coverage catches. I'm not anointing Evans anything, but watch the coverages. One good thing, with Johnson, Scoe, and Nelson playing well, it makes it tough on teams to simply try to take Evans out of the game as they've set their aim to do so for the past few years.
  8. It is fully warranted. The criticism is is with his accuracy, especially at crunch time/big play time. See win/loss column. He's made a number of plays to spark the Bills and that led to points. It's simply due to a lack of consistency in his game, primarily his widely varying accuracy that gets far worse when the marbles are on the line. I'd love to jump on his band wagon. He's helped make the Bills watchable, but.........until he can lock a game up, he's just another journeyman. Wins folks, wins. He's had 4 real shots this year, and is 0 - 4 with a game on the line.
  9. ....and don't forget there's Easley coming back next year as well who is explosive (speed and size). Evans still draws the double teams, and Johnson doesn't to date (as per Fitz comments last week). It may be Evans drawing coverage that is helping Scoe, Johnson, and Nelson find oprnings in the opposing secondary. If TE Shawn Nelson can ever get back on the field, he too has good hands, speed, but needs to solidify the rest of his game. The only problem with this these guys and Fritz, is that Fritz will continue to make a great throw, followed by a bad one, and then a really bad one......simply no consistency to his game.
  10. John, what Fitz is getting is mostly deserved. When we "need" the big play, the accurate throw, long or short, he goes wildly inaccurate. Most do appreciate the rest of his game, but it is maddeningly frustration to watch high throw after wild throw in the dirt, over the head, or into the opponents hands at key moments of the game. I like the guy, his never quit play, but he's a heartbreaker who will get you close and then let you down.
  11. Games most often hinge on just a couple plays, who's outcomes, if changed, change the results of the game. Had these been positive plays...............for the Bills that is................ That's why they're called "game changers".
  12. With the score 19-14, Fitz under throws Johnson and begins his wild ways. Pick returns the ball to the Bills 23 and ultimately a Bears TD. Huge series, Fitz comes up horribly poor. How about that defense Edwards calls on the Bears 3rd and 10 at the Bills 23 yard line when he rushed only three and Cutler had forever to find a receiver (over 6 seconds plus) to get the Bears a 1st, keeping the drive alive, and shortly thereafter, the go ahead TD. Even though there was plenty of time and Fitz managed a couple third down conversions, but he then went "wild" again, and incomplete, incomplete, incomplete.... This was game, set, match. (P.S. Edwards should be shot for rushing only three on that huge 3rd and 10 play, it's not like they had Smith, Hansen, and Washington for crying out loud.)
  13. Fitz has been a big part of the renewed offense, yet he is so maddeningly inconsistent with his accuracy he is part of the reason the Bills have lost. Even without a run game today, the passing game was there for the taking and when he was wild, he managed to do that. Sadly, his accuracy blows from great to horrible in the span of a single throw. I would agree that CJ does too much dancing. The pros are bigger faster and much better than college and he needs to temper his dancing considerably.
  14. Very well said. Bell has improved tremendously over last year, and he's still nursing a repaired knee. Howard didn't impress in his stint, and next up is Wrotto who got numerous snaps today. I only focused on his a few times and in those plays (passes), he did his job. Our overall lack of push/movement from the O-line is hurting the run game tremendously however.
  15. More than a bit strong, yet he has heavily contributed to 4 losses, yes. See above..... Ridiculous response as no one even thought this, let alone did anyone infer it.
  16. Bell is playing better and appears he will get better. He wasn't the problem today. If you're defending the Great thrwo, poor throw, horrible throw Fitzpatrick, then you weren't watching the games the past three weeks. When it counts, Fitz has a hard time finding the Barn, let alone hit it. Fitz, again, is the kind of guy that has the intangibles that Johnson, Losman, Edwards can only dream of possessing. Unfortunately, his scatter shot arm (QB's must be consistently accurate) will break hearts as he has done the past three weeks to ours.
  17. Solid to good player, yet the other names along side him (Stroud, Edwards, etc) don't perform and how can we forget about our LB's (yet they filled much better today on the run plays, Davis was no loss). Nice to see Coleman get some snaps, but having him rush from a three point stance form the LE position didn't look very promising on the couple plays I watched him on. Not much different than Maybin feeble attempts. Easily engulfed by the LT.
  18. Sharpe also picked on Poz for getting caught up in the middle on the last run play shown, but Kelsay? If he wasn't a Bill, I'd be laughing hysterically. Instead, I'm shaking my head and wondering why was he extended? At least we did get to see a number of very good plays from Poz.
  19. Sure........and everyone here is more knowledgeable that the "networks talking heads" as well.
  20. ...of which you're a card carrying member, whether you realize it or not.
  21. Now in the year 2010, you should know full darn well, and proof and/or truth are not required. It's how well you can spin.
  22. Drawn in by the wackos, revisionist and liars I see. I guess I am too. The spin masters need to do a bit more research both in numbers, and cause & effect. I didn't realize Pelosi, who obviously issued a check her butt couldn't cash, was far more powerful than Bush in those days. For the record, for the fiscal year ending 9/30/07, Mr. Bush had the national debt standing at basically 9 Trillion (remember it was at 5.8 Triilion approximately when he first got to approve his first budget). He approved the 2007, 2008, 2008, and 2009 budget (set 10/1/09) and when his final budget (and TARP bailout, etc) was done, the debt was at over 11.9 trillion. That's almost 3 Trillion directly attributed to Bush and the GOP. While Obama's first budget year came in in the range of 1.5 Trillion, it still did not reach to levels of Bush's final budget, war, and bailout. No revisionist history here, just redirecting this "issue" back to have responsibility borne by the GOP party that has been responsible for near 80% of our countries debt. The GOP has no issue with accruing debt as long as it gives trillions to the ultra-rich, but denies a billion or two for the middle class or poor (citing the infamous, "how you going to pay for it" line of there's that never is mentioned when handing out huge tax breaks or gifts to the rich when there exists no way to pay for those. Yet the blind still refuse to see. The GOP supporters seek an end to deficit spending through the party that has raped, pillaged, and plundered our treasury the most. Strange days, strange days indeed. However, on whether Pelosi is an idiot or not, she is....
  23. Your point is still about 10,000 feet over his head.....
  24. Well stated, yet with the shape the Bills LB corps is in, it's risk that still may be worth taking. This could be a wake up call for Merriman. If not, little lost in finding out.
  25. The Bears would be light years better off if they didn't have Martz as their OC. He seems hell bent on getting Cutler killed. Cutler, who isn't horribly slow with his release, also isn't the quickest either. To consistently run the Martz offense, the QB better be quick (as was Warner in his early days with the Rams before the beatings laid waste to him for a few years). Sadly, I don't believe we have the pass rush to worry Cutler so it could get ugly (unless he has one of his "inaccurate" interception prone performances). Of note, the Bears currently have the worst third down conversion percentage in the league at 17.9% (Buffalo has crept up to 38.1%, tied for 17th in the league with the Jets). Also to date, the Bears have given up 31 sacks. Buffalo has given up 18 sacks. While the Bears are not without their problems, they are currently 6th in the NFL defensively overall. It won't be easy for Fitz and the Bills offense.
