Week 7, Titians v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Spiderweb replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Homage to Solomon Wilcox...? -
In the replay, it clearly showed Bishop freezing when he peered at the QB. He has the deep coverage on that play and was left in the dust. I hope the guy pans out, but that was a blown coverage. The play by play guy was clearly of the same belief.

Hamlin is obviously a feel good story. That said, he's done nothing to show that he's deserving of being a starter. Bad angles, late to the ball, etc. Poyer and Hyde in their prime were a joy to watch.

Bishop's error against the Texans cost the Bills a TD. I have hopes for him, but McDermott may not trust him yet to get a bigger role.
-
Letting MVS go is addition by subtraction. He was pitiful.

Just a great game by Davis (and the O-line for opening holes for him)....

I agree, it was a fumble. Booth ref said the ball would have had to be vertical and it wasn't. To my eyes it was virtually so and should have been a fumble.

As noted by Aikman, Hollins ran a crappy route... -

No such thing as too little time to score against us. Jeez.... -
He was hot and cold without a doubt.

Today he caught two TD passes in the Jags loss.

Concerned that Joe Brady may have crashed back to reality.
Spiderweb replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
Again, Brady and the Bill had no answer to an opponents pressures on Allen. Allen had one of his worst passing games I can recall and last week's was pretty bad as well. However... Three straight passes from our own three yard line, and all were highly suspect route calls? Brady and our WRs were terrible yet again. -
Yes, it was one game, but Joe had absolutely no clue how to adjust to what the Ravens were doing. This is far more than receivers not getting separation, but more about his failure to adjust to the Ravens pressure packages and leaving Allen to run for his life. Unless we can regain an intermediate passing game, we are in big trouble. Just a couple years ago, how many first downs did we get on 3rd and 8 to 15 (and occasionally more). Blame the receivers, yes, but don't forget being clueless pass pro wise against the Ravens. Runner up, Babich in not adjusting defense to deal with Ravens heavy packages.

Sestak was simply a great DT. Sadly he was a shadow of his old self his last year or two due to shot knees.
-
Thurman was a far better receiver and he could block. Simpson has the flash, the game breaking speed. Overall, Thurman was the more complete back.
-
Coleman still has to work on separation, he just doesn't get any.
-
...and against the Ravens, Brady was unmasked. How long did it take him to attempt to adjust to the Ravens really crowding the short routes? Then when he did, our On-line failed to give Allen the protection necessary. Bad performance all around by the coaches, players, etc.
