  1. I still believe the Bengals are the worst, but the Jag's helments are number two.
  2. With evaluation time upon us, might it not finally be time to see what Easley has to offer. He's got some size and decent speed. Play him!
  3. Thanks for the video...brings back some great timea..
  4. not a fan our our poor attempt of being a zone blocking line. It jut doesn't seem to be working at all.
  5. .......... No where near an apples to apples comparison. Their season wasn't down the drain. How can our line do a great job, like they did against KC, but look so pitiful as they did Sunday? First game against the Jets, they were poor, and while we didn't run the ball well in the second game, the pass blocking was good. In the past, we've had success running out of a spread formation, but we just don't employ that formation anymore. Spread them out and then give Freddie and CJ a shot for crying out loud..... I would also move Stevie back outside, and use Chris Hogan in the slot, thus benching TJ Graham, a complete waste of a roster spot, and rotate in Easley so he can get some quality reps. Time to experiment a bit. It's time to play for roster spots and those who perform, stay, those that don't........
  6. It was Kiko who was late to the hole on the 80 yard TD run by Rainey. Other than that, I don't recall him being badly out of position, although my head was hanging for most of the game due to the pitiful performance by the offense.
  7. That may be a more than just a bit of a reach, but one thing is certain, Pettine's system and a position change has made Aaron Williams one.
  8. Full agreement here. The defense should what have the right to go Incognito on the offfense. The play of the offense and Manuel in particular was the worst seen since the darkest days of Edwards/Losman.
  9. It was best said yesterday that a good QB throws his receivers open. Manuel doesn't have that type of accuracy. He's looking more and more like Akili Smith than a viable QB.
  10. Lewis played very poorly against the Saints from almost any measure. Lewis has proven he may be a keeper but only if a lot of work improves his game. Those fumbles are killers and his high throw after high throw must stop. He was a D- at best against the Saints.
  11. Roberson? Back in the 60's we had a Bo Roberson who played WR....
  12. ???????? How does that in anyway come close to losing use of your hand? Coverage, tackling, even balance are all affected with that club he's wearing. I'd like to know when that might be able to come off? Tape the wrist and gain use of the hand !!!
  13. Just watched the replay of the game on NFL Rewind and that is a great point. Hughes drove his man right into Tannehill's lap. That rush overall was textbook.........
  14. I love Freddie (except last year when he fumbled at critical times and far to often). That said his body has begun to break down. Only his character keeps him pushing forward. Fred should have been our feature back the moment he arrived in Buffalo. I still love the way he plays the game but I miss the FJ with two good wheels. Sadly, we aren't likely to see that again.
  15. The Bills did manage to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. We all know we've lost too many times like the Dolphins did yesterday so I suggest we enjoy the win especially since the Bills face N.O. this week. This could be a real long day..
  16. I watched a bit of KC yesterday and I feel Byrd isn't even close to being the player Berry is. He is not deserving of the money he seeks. The Bills were more than generous with their offer to Byrd.
  17. Teams have been running right at Kyle for years and generally with good success. Yesterday I focused on him for 6 or so plays and he was double teamed on at least three of them and yes he moved out of the way rather easily. Another observation was our LBs (Kiko included) seem too easy to block as well. None appeared to have any real block shedding ability.
  18. How can one speak of QB disasters wirhout mentioning the 1968 Bills. We ended the year Ed Rutkowski (a so so WR) at QB?
  19. ...can never have too many CBs...
  20. Hey Nate..good to hear from you...... One question though, have you not heard of a "screen" also?
  21. No rose colored glasses here. I like EJ but he has shown serious accuracy issues, especially the past two games. What I see is somewhat similar to Fitz. One nice throw followed by throwing a slant well behind Stevie on 3rd down, under thrown deep balls and a throw in the dirt or two. On Stevie's tip for a pick, Manuel guns it but it's high and that's what frequently happens. Bring that throw down and its not a pick. Sorry, but that was more on EJ than Stevie. what makes the great ones is the ability to consistently put the ball where the receiver not only makes the catch, but can also have a shot at some RAC yards. EJ has his work cut out for him.
  22. One decent throw. He also had numerous behind the receiver throws and underthrown deep throws. EJ looks like he may well suffer from accuracy issues. Keep burning the late night candle EJ.
  23. Kudos to you. you nailed it!
  24. There were a number of plays, one that was highlighted in a replay, where Brown was just destroyed by Wilfork. He also got beat badly on one particular pass play but EJ was able to escape the sack. Brown is the weak link on our OL and one can only hope is he does improve......quickly. At 8 mil a year, Levitre would have been too expensive, but he is missed.
  25. For the Bills to win multiple, phases of the game will need to favor them. In addition to those above, they must eliminate penalties. We were a penalty machine this preseason and that has to stop..
