  1. Desite the screamers and doomsayers, this made perfect sense. Best wishes to Stevie aa well.
  2. I agree with Goodell ruining the draft. I work evenings so the draft experience is totally lost. Goodell is a piece of crap...
  3. Never a fan of his "music", I now find myself seriously disliking JBJ. A NJ man lining up with Canadians for the purpose of buying our Bills and moving them to Toronto is utterly shameful and characterless. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest his arm pits.
  4. Ebron's stock has fallen quite a bit with a number of GM's. The knocks have been that he has inconsistent hands (noted numerous end zone drops), and that he won't block. Yeah, I'm lazy when using my tablet, sorry no loinkss, but read, just read, and the more you read the less Ebron seems like any answer. In fact the entire TE class hass been said to be sub-par. Also, ass it's already been said, we already have Gragg. No need for Ebron. I personally like building the OL, and possibly Evans if they go for a skills position.
  5. One thing that has been misunderstood around here is that in a 4-3 defense there is room for a smaller quicker DE and Hughes can fit that bill. He's definitely a pass rusher first, but was wasn't just speed. He is capable of bull rushing a QB and that takes strength. He would be great in a wide 9 set as well. Hughes showed a lot last year and it wasn't just as a speed rusher.
  6. Same here.... Youth is wasted on the young.
  7. From my eyes, where rhe Bills got gashed the most was run plays where teams went off tackle right at Kyle Williams.Kyle's penetrating ways are feast or famine. Also Kiko was late or over ran the gap. If Spikes or someone else can prove to be effective in the middle, the run D should improve as Kiko in space should be awesome.
  8. OK. Now we know it's more than money. Byrd simply does not want to be in Buffalo. The Bills offer would have made him the highest paid safety (as reported) and still no signature. How much money is enough? We have long disliked Eugene Parker but we can add Byrd to the Parker/Peters Club. Here's my view, piss on Byrd. So long...
  9. That's simply wonderful. The past 30 years have been wrought with CEO's cashing in at the expense of employees who make less, have pensions taken away, pay more and more of their health care costs, and that's if they're lucky enough to still have health care. Between mergers, closing manufacturing facilities, outsourcing, they destroy what made this country great. Here's three cheers for Bernie Ebers, Kenneth Lay, Dennis Koslowski, and virtually all the CEO's in general.
  10. A look back at that era and what Tasker accomplished only leads me to think of one other ST player who was recognized but never given the credit due him. His name - Mark Pike. Tasker made the splash plays but Pike more consistently did his job. He was a big man who could run. Too small to play DE, but special Teams? He was truly a great ST player in his own right. If memory serves, he's the all time leader in the NFL for ST tackles.
  11. Well said. As for those sick of the hype, etc., find something else to do.......
  12. Personally, I prefer non-fiction......
  13. Sounds like your adversary is a Faux News disciple. Facts and the truth have nothing to do with his position.
  14. He definitely played well for a rookie and earned the honor. Yet, it could be just me but the big plays he made early in the season seemed to be over with by mid-year. Maybe teams began avoiding him when in coverage a bit after his hot start with Ints. I suspect his off season workouts will focus on strength and endurance. He seemed to be on empty by the season's end. Excellent pick all told.
  15. As DC in Cinci, he helped put together a pretty good defense. Could be a very good hire by Minny...
  16. Skip on Evans. From what I've seen of him, he isn't worth our number 1. Very unimpressive to me.....
  17. Evans simply is not that impressive. I can only hope the Bills would pass on him, especially early in the draft.
  18. But he would be a huge upgrade over Bradham or Moats and possibly Lawson who mostly played very decently this year.
  19. Disagree. Wade came up with that tag when speaking of Chris Watson.
  20. Hairston? The same Hairston who missed the entire year wirh a mystery illness or injury? In this day and age, I'm surprised that nothing has leaked out.....unless we missed it.
  21. Most around here haven't called Fitz the worst ever, and most generally liked how he gave it everything he had. Yet, he had to go as he was too limited, and too inconsistent. It's time for everyone to get over Fitz, regardless if you are pro or con. Manuel may end up not being the guy, but we may not know for another season or two. The change had to be made.
  22. They have shown enough. They both fail to get the job done. Mack would be a great addition
  23. Defending Graham is ridiculous. Anyone with a pair of functional eyes wouldn't. He jumped on the TD which left me scratching my head. Then he jumps again on 4th and 2 and ends up dropping a ball in his stomach. If; and that's a big if, he can run decent routes so what. He can't catch. Goodwin is very raw but has shown hands to at least some degree and more toughness than Graham but two flaws hurt him big this year. First by consistently getting hurt and needs to be taken to school on how to beat press coverage. I had hopes for Easley but for whatever reason, he doesn't get a shot. Not being able to beat out Graham or even Hogan is not a good sign I guess.
  24. They had to make changes. Chan was undone by Fitz and a horrible defense. One thing I miss is the spread offense. CJ seemed far more effective given the space.
  25. OP suffered credibity concerns with stating SS. LG, run stuffing LB, RT, And a Megatron clone WR. No more smurfs.
