Tyrod is an excellent athlete and has shown a lot of class over the years. I wish him well but Buffalo does need to move on from Tyrod now. Too many times he's had the opportunity for a late come from behind drive for the win and failed.

Kyle Williams is Undecided on Retirement
Spiderweb replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clearly he's a fan favorite. A guy who gives everything he has. Never a run stuffer, he was a good penetrating DT for many years. He deserved better. I do believe he has lost a step but still a quality player none the less. If he retires, I wish him and his family all the best. If he stays, it should be in a reduced role and reduced salary. -
Good luck going forward...

Nate seems to have his mind made up where's going to throw it at the snap.W... In the NFL and decently disguised coverages, this is a horrible flaw.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - All So Improbable
Spiderweb replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In a game that demands you must continually improve or get out of the way, it's hard to not want to look for a new QB. Taylor has his pluses, but his minuses too often outweigh them. Virtually no ability to orchestrate come from behind victories which speaks volumes. Holds to ball too long, waits for receivers to get wide open and hasn't learned how to throw a receiver open. He's a very likeable guy and one heck of an athlete, but a very middle of the road QB unfortunately. -
Gaines and Hughes - PFF standout performers
Spiderweb replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We had that DT. Unfortunately, he turned out to be an undisciplined immensely talented player who wore out his welcome with the new staff at OBD. -
An idea to fix the " wtf is a catch?" Issue
Spiderweb replied to westerndecline's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mirror the effect the ground has on a running back. The ground can't cause a fumble and it shouldn't cause an incompletion. Catch/control, two feet down.. -
Does Dupree on the 53 mean we get to see Riley?
Spiderweb replied to Zqueezr's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We need to win first so practice squad stars playing time is likely to be limited if they get any at all. Yet, I would love to see them both play... -
What QB do you want to draft.
Spiderweb replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jackson has similar traits as those of TT. except he doesn't protect the ball. Can be a turnover machine. I work and live in the Louisville area and I do not want the Bills to draft him. Great athlete but not a great QB. -
Tolbert is the worst FA acquisition in years
Spiderweb replied to mjt328's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both Tolbert and DiMarco are great mysteries... I can't comment on DiMarco's run blocking but other than that, I see no other reason that Tolbert and DiMarco should ever see the field again except maybe from the stands or their living room. Tolbert is totally useless and McBean screwed us.. Process my butt. -
Yes and he also alligater armed a very catchable deep pass due to a safety coming at him over the top. Sorry.. but you have to make those plays. He is what he is.. a mediocre wr..

Enjoy the win? Yes, but the complete offensive flameout in the second half simply cannot be overlooked. Do that against the Pats or a number of other good teams and that ends up a horribly disappointing loss. Enjoy the win but don't bury your head in the sand.

Official fire Rick Dennison thread
Spiderweb replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The first half showed solid execution and decent play calling which led to the best offense performance in a while. Yet, the second half went polar opposite and mirrored the pitiful play offensively that we all have seen far too often. Dolphins made a few adjustments and our run game flat outright disappeared. Pass game didn't fair much better. We continue to show no ability to make necessary adjustments offensively. The second half lack of offense will get you killed against by Pats, Steelers, and number of other teams. I'll say it once again. Dennison needs to go and Castillo should go with him. He neutered -
Anyone else think we should use oleary more?
Spiderweb replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Underused but before criticism of his blocking is accepted as fact, it would be nice to see professionals (coaches, etc) opinion of him. Also, is he capable of improving? Understands how to get open and has shown good hands to date. -
Bottom line... Zay's route running seems to be well below standards set by quality receivers. He has done poorly with 50 - 50 balls like he did yesterday. To say he only has only two official drops is crap. I've seen more than that with my "untrained" fan's eye. Poor hands and poor route running. One can hope the light goes on for him but I'm not holding my breath. The only thing I can provide in his defense is that Taylor seems to save his most inaccurate throws for Zay in general.

Yes that is luck. When you make a horribly wrong decision and you still end up with the desired result, that's luck. That is unless he really wanted to lose......

100% agree. Appealing the deliberately illegal and injurious hit on a defenseless player who as already down is a complete farse and it clearly shows a lack of character within Gronk and the Patriots. Oh wait, we are talking about the Patriots aren't we..... What he did was outright deliberate and well outside any possible reason beyond hurting White. 3 games would not be enough. Couple with a massive fine above the loss of three game checks, and now the punishment is a lot closer to fitting the crime. Gronk = Patriot pond scum.

Dion Dawkins Standing Out Now
Spiderweb replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree. Woods is no Mangold, but he's not horrible either. Ducasse and Mills are horrible... -
Anyone concerned about the wr talent?
Spiderweb replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Woods was good here as well. Under utilized but good. We had a WR contingent but McBean saw fit to let them walk and then traded away the last and best of them, Watkins. -
I'm 50 /50 on Rico also. I can't decide if we should make him leave town now on foot, or if we should buy him a Greyhound ticket out of Buffalo tonight.
-
Well Captain Obvious... You jettisoned last years 3 top WR' s who actually have talent, and assembled a group of castoffs and a rookie who can't get separation except on rare occasions. Couple that with the leftover you hired as OC and thats what you get. Taylor infuriates me often but you sure did hang him out to dry by giving him little to work with. This is 90% on McBean and maybe 10% on Taylor. Shameful...

Horrible challenge. The he sits on his butt with that horrible spot that just GAVE the Pats a first and as they should, the Pats ran a quick play to be sure McD didn't wake up in time.

Just a horribly blantant BAD call....
