Dolphins Promote Nick O'Leary to the 53 Man Roster
Spiderweb replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nick O'Leary was the prototypical lunch pail Buffalo guy. Good hands and knew how to get open. May not have had the wheels one would like, but he played hard and never stopped trying. He deserved a better date with the Bills but ultimately lost out to Croom, Lee, and Thomas who are all physically superior but none have shown his heart or ability to make key plays. I miss him. -
He may have been a poor choice of a OC, but let's be honest, he was given no WRs, a depleted Oline that lost three quality linemen, and a rookie QB. He may be crud, but he also wasn't dealt a very good hand either. With that said, an OC with some proven success sure would have been nice though.

Scheme? Scheme? Waht scheme? That was some of the most clueless football I've witnessed. KB should be benched if not cut. Yet, we have virtually no other options thanks to McBean. At least we saw a Zay Jones sighting once KB went out. He at least looked like he was running and not just simply lumbering down the field. I've come to really dislike KB as a viable option in the passing game. And our offensive line is horrible. They showed almost zero ability to handle a blitz in an way shape or form. Even Dawkins has been disappointing. Better get those youngbloods up to snuff and get them a shot soon. Mills still sucks but our two guards and center play is revolting.

I'd say the one we're thinking of resides in Orchard Park. -
WR Suggestion - Bills should sign ASAP
Spiderweb replied to OrediggerPoke's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To see the shape of our WR core, it screams of complete and total mismanagement of McBean.... To watch Foster beat his man time and time again only to show zero ability to catch the ball, even when perfectly thrown is maddening to the 10th degree. O Reilly looked good and played thru preseason hurt. Holmes sucks, Foster no hands ability to track the ball, Jones MIA week after week. Clay inconsistent. Benjamin, is fat, lazy and wastes tremendous size play after play. Sad group we have indeed. -
Illegal formation Penalty question
Spiderweb replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To have at least three of these, by my count anayway, is ridiculous. That speaks poorly of players and coaches alike. -
Improvement will be need from Allen. Big improvement! He made a few good throws but most of this throws, and even most of his completions were not good throws. Accuracy and touch still need work. Confidence and experience will help, but to his credit, 245 on a day he wasn't great far exceeded what we've endured the past few years.

McBeane gave Peterman his shot....

Miller and Ducasse have zero ability to anchor. Watching them get pushed into Peterman and then Allen was absolutely disgusting. -
Reasons to sign Tebow

Ban this poster now!! Wow.. -
Unfortunately, our cupboard is pretty bare. Cap hell or not, McBean has pretty much jettisoned any Bill with talent or allowed them to walk via FA. We had three WR's with talent, now we have none. Easy to be negative right now, and justifiably so.

A Few Thoughts About the Ravens Game, in no particular order
Spiderweb replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The play of our two Guards was truly offensive. McBean has stripped the Bills of the scant talent it had and what we saw yesterday was the result. Other teams manage to turn around mediocre franchises pretty quickly. The Bills take mediocre to putrid. Yesterday was total humiliation. -
Can't agree more. Anyone who said, "he caught that ball", clearly misses even the not so dine points of the position. Seems to have little to no awareness.

What areas of the team has Beane actually improved?

Fair evaluation. Hoping for better, yet reality beckons. -
O Line Troubles Start With It's Coach !!
Spiderweb replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again... He's not shown to be a quality coach previous to joining the Balls either. -
Coleman is a bad place looking to happen. Bad routes and his block in the back Sunday day was truly a sorry play. Bad attitude well on display in Clear. I initially thought this may be good but I have serious doubts now.
-
Coleman should not make the team.

10-4... Our O-line resembles anything but. Loss of RI and EW has been huge. Also, Glenn's trade was another loss of the O-line, especially if he can stay healthy this year. Letting Henderson walk damaged depth. McBean, to date you have failed the Bills horrifically on both lines. To win, both need to be competent to strong. Goingto be a rough year especially with the brutal schedule we have to begin with. Hate to say it, and I'd be first to admit I'm wrong, but bleak is a step up from where this thing could go.

One (maybe two) bright spots from Sunday
Spiderweb replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can no longer see any reason to keep Clay. Swallow the bullet and send him packing via trade (if anyone would be willing to give us a shoe shine kit or so) or just cut him. He was never worth even a third of the money he got from the Bills. -

Yes .. he's dealing with the hand dealt to him, albeit quite poorly however. -
What body of work has Tanner Vallejo shown other than ST? Oh boy, and the others?

Why Does The National Media Want To See Josh Allen Fail?
Spiderweb replied to mykidsdad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jeez... The opinions on Josh Allen include all ranges of the spectrum. Exaggeration seems likely here.
