  1. Give it a rest. They were entertaining in their day, but only Gifford was decent.
  2. Wow... I would have called the Who's performance one of the worst. Liked the band back in the day, but their day, and Daltry's, was 50 years ago... Who's Next was their best effort..
  3. EJ didn't quite pass the test. In fact Buffalo was continually chided for taking a third round prospect in the first. It was a total desperation pick at best.
  4. Before we go off the deep end, impressive in spots, OK, but inconsistent. It's clear he has a way to go, so I'd prefer to call it a promising start, which is a huge step up from what we've seen for some time at the QB position.
  5. Tony Greene was an undersized guy who got the most of his abilities. He was also more of a centerfielder, as has already been said. With that, he was a very good FS for Buffalo, but lacked Saimes toughness to me. It's good to see everyone talking about some very good to great Bills we've had the pleasure to watch over the years.
  6. Bad calls themselves are ruining the game.
  7. ???? That "60's" safety, George Saimes was indeed the complete package. A converted RB. Great FS. We have had a number of good ones, even Tony Greene comes to mind, but Saimes was the best. Shame is, far too many here never saw him play.
  8. Thank you. A post that recalls history accurately. Not a pass rusher, but tough on the run. He was a solid tackle for the Chargers for years.
  9. Right about Tasker, I mean what did Jim Kelly know about WRs. Kelly was also reported the bet any DB in camp and practice that they couldn't cover Tasker. Also praised his hands. But yeah, Kelly didn't know crap about WRs.....jeez...
  10. Byrd got the most from his abilities and played deep safety reasonably well, in his youth. However I have innumerable plays etched in my brain of where he was late on deep assignments. I remember him getting tagged, signing, and then playing the platar faciitus card. When he bolted, it was don't let the door hit you on the way out. He got hurt his first year in NO, and then sucked badly for two more years. Slow slow slow, especially by the end. Left a bad taste behind they way he played it
  11. Better suited for Faux News.
  12. Has anyone a memory? In his rookie year preseason, he played rather poorly at RT. It was hoped he would push Mills to the bench but he was outplayed by Mills by a decent margin. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him moving to RT, but I have my doubts.
  13. Sometimes it's best to sit quietly and let people think of you as a fool, than to open your mouth and prove them right.
  14. It began with the 98 "just give it to them" game against the Pats. It went downhill after that. He was the poster child for incompetence.
  15. Frazier just seems a bit too conservative for my tastes as DC. It took McDermott briefly taking over defensive calls to get our D playing decently. Not a fan of Frazier. I don't see him getting another HC job.
  16. A bigger jerk than Gregg Williams would be hard to find. His stint in Buffalo as HC and in New Orleans as "Bounty Hunter" Greggo are all the evidence anyone should need.
  17. Star is no Ted Washington who was one of the best nose tackles to play the game. Yet, he was still a player who did his job against the Pats and it was the remaining DLine and LBs who played horribly. He's not the type to make splash plays but he has been effective even if this board fails to see it.
  18. Bell's running style would be a disaster behind our offensive line. He depends on the line not just maintaining their blocks but to create lanes as well. He would be great coming out of the backfield aiding the passing attack, but McCoy wasn't used well in this role this year by a long shot so I don't see Dabol using Bell well in this regard as well.
  19. It is known to giving Krones patients relief, but hey....
  20. From what I've seen from KW over the years and more so recently, his run stuffing ability has never been great. Where he seemed most effective is when he could penetrate and blow up plays. He also was a sometimes decent pass rusher. I think he could still be effective in a reduced role at a reduced salary but only one more year. With that said, he's been a great Bill and deserves to be able to out on his own terms.
  21. Watching Foster develope has been one of the few bright spots. I would believe he will continue to get better with each additional rep. He at least has shown some ability to separate unlike most of the other Bills receivers. McKenzie is a bit streaky but now that there is some tape on him, he seems less effective of late...and he scares me to death when he receives kicks....bobbles and fumbles anyone?
  22. Don't be so enmored with total yards. Look at how bad the D is in the Red Zone. Points, that's what wins games.
  23. I'm certainly on of the older crowd around here and I like the red uniforms and would go for the combinations there of. These however need to be on a limited basis, 3-4 times a year.
