Can't offer any info, but as a parent of a child with life threatening illness, good doctors, prayer, and lots of love can work wonders. May God watch out over your daughter and her family.

Ditto. It's really a simple matter of fair use. The Betamax case really is the model here. Despite the "industry" wanting them to be prohibitited from recordin the "industry" product (from a home user perspective), it ultimately created another whole new Multi-Billion dollar market for the "industry". The "industry" profitted handsomely inspite of themselves. Piracy is wrong, yet there must remain the component of fair use. You by a CD or DVD, you should have the right to use it anyway you wish, without infringements to the fair use principal. You paid the royalties at time of purchase. This model has served the "industry", elctronics manufacturers, retailers, etc., very well for many a year now. If you want to transfer it to tape, etc., you should have the right to do so. Remember, I'm talking about legally purchased product here. What's next? You buy a toaster but it only comes with a "license' for 100 slices of toast? To make more you have to pay a monthly fee? Jack Valenti (spelling?), may you rot in hell.....and all those like you.

Reason 4,217,441 that I'm leaving the South

CNN - FOX. The facts are clear.... Fox is definitely slanted to the right, whereas CNN slants to the left. No journalism is ever "fair and balanced". They all have their bias, and while a centrist (white) news would nice, it isn't likely to happen. All journalism is yellow, some much more so than others, but yellow all the same. The problem with Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, etc., is that they are so married to their ideology that they frequently miss the big picture. Yet the left has ....Franken? Ouch, that's sad. Personally, I'm more liberal on social issues, and conservative with respect to spending. I will say that if one is a true conservative, balancing the books is mandatory and wild deficit spending is anti-conservative, although I'd love to be able to run my personal finances this way. Unfortunately, the darn banks won't let me.... -
Not exactly true, he had actually made a couple kicks of over 40yards that were wiped out because of stupid coahing errors (remember the ill timed time out Mularkey called against Pitt). Yeah, Lindell may not be great (pretty much a given), but much of the lack of success can be in part attributed to the ultra conservative calls by our coaching staff and not taking shots when they could have. Sure, confidence in Lindell plays into that, but his lack of attempts wasn't purely his fault.

Bonds and 'roids Sorry if it's been posted before. Big secret, eh?

His cap hit this year will be around 1.4 Mil IIRC. Seems a tad high for a guy who really is little more than a special teams player at this point. He's a good ST guy, but not one of the quality of Tasker. Speaking about Tasker, I always wondered why he didn't play more at WR. He always seemed to make plays, big plays when he had his chances.

I've been in the hospital all week...

Here's to a speedy recovery. I have a good friend and a co-worker who has this and has managed quite well. Had to make some dietary changes, but the most part he's doing great, better shape than I'm in (which may not be saying all that much). -

Amazingly, you omitted a rather large need as well. Health care reform. And for the record, the answer is not health care spending accounts alone. Many people are not in a position to be able to take full advantage of them and the gain (tax free dollars set aside) is horribly inadequate in addressing costs that are increasing 4 (conservative estimate) times the rate of inflation. -
I don't see a restructuring next year either. It will be a deep cut or this will be Moulds last year.

Well, this awful economy in Buffalo still found
Spiderweb replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No cash, but nice going ya lucky bas....!!!!! Seems I'll be looking soon too and one possiblity is Buffalo (lived in Dayton OH the past 20 years). Pay could be an issue though as the housing there is reasonable, but the taxes....jeez............. -
From watching Evans develop last year, I'd have to say that he may not be our #1 this year, but he will be by the follwoing season. Moulds is slipping a bit, and may not even be here beyond this comingyear, unless he's willing to give up some $$$$ (this time a cut in salary).

May God bless them. They're in our prayers.

Welcome to CBA & Free Agency. Building a line, even a good one is always a couple years away from rebuilding. The days of what the cowboys had in the early to Mid 90's are over. How would you like to Favre this year? God only knows what kind of line he's going to have....

OG Marco Rivera is going to have back surgery!

Personally, I believe it was mainly the $$$. JJ and his agent most likely let their "ball park" figures be known and TD wasn't going to go there, but that's just my opinion. I could be wrong. -
How about Kevin Thomas for Putzier?
Spiderweb replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes he is. Thank you very much for asking. He's in Kindergarten right now as I type this and has just recently been cleared by his doctor to finally be able to begin his immunizations. Again, thanks for the kind thoughts. -
I seem to recall that he too has a fumbling problem (yet I checked a couple stats sites and they didn't list his fumbles). One thing for sure though, he sure fell out of favor quickly down in Dallas. Must have been reasonable cause.... Also, he never caught more than 21 passes either so his receiving skills may be in question. Short of it, he's far from a complete back and I would suggest that TH is a better choice than Hambrick. Unfortunately, it seems the Cards have moved away from trying to land TH. I know Bill in NYC doesn't like TH, but jeez, give him a break. Hambrick is considerably worse.

A TE can be a QB's best friend. I remember Kelly going more and more to Metzalaars as the offensive line in front of him turned to crap. Yet, i wonder exactly what type of TE Mularkey and Clements would like to have in that I don't recall Pittsburgh featuring their TE's much. Bruenner for years was there to block primarily. With the power running game, blocking is far more valuable. Yet, as I mentioned above, who knows what the brass is looking for at this point. One thing is clear in my mind though is that it would be highly risky to trust that Campbell and Euhus will be ready and capable, especially the first half of the season. -
And if that was the process, in that governmental waste was cut FIRST, then we'd have something, but neither party has any desire to reduce THIER numbers, power, or what have you. All we have now is the cutting, not the "fix".

Much better contract (team wise) than we gave Ruben Brown a number of years back, IIRC.

wow! nice surprise on a Monday
Spiderweb replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very well may be the case. As for Holcomb, I feel that was a nice move. Here's a guy who wants to play, yet understands and obviously has accepted the thought of being the backup. As for Gandy, on paper and as reported, he can play both Guard and Tackle, which makes him a needed backup player. I liked Price, but as a backup Tackle only, he wasn't as flexible. He also played the right side far better than the left, which I personally thought he was below average at. Couple this with a guy who's in his early 30's vs. a mid 20's guy, a bad kneee (probalbly a chronic condition) and the move made considerable sense. Nice minor touches, but still nice. I think TD will still have a trick or two up his sleeve.
