    Who would have been able made that final play on Mixon? Von actually looked quicker tonight but clearly he is light years from the player he once was. I have doubts that we'll get to see improved play from him any time soon, if ever. He has added to out salary cap hell in a big way as well.

    Maybe Tre wont mKe it back at CB, but he could replace Hyde in a year or two. Hard to say. Achilles injuries have effectively ended many careers.

    I have found Benford wanting as well. Seems that for every solid play he makes, he messes up 2. To me, he looked better last year.

    The initial.list did not mention Robert James. If you are old enough to rembwr him, he was a great bump and run corner who suffered a knew injury that he vould t fully recover from. Played 6 seasons in which he was all-pro in 72, 73 and 74

    What he did show when he got his chance was nice speed, poor tackling, and over running plays or making nimerous poor decisions. Erratic was the single word that comes to mind. Quite an athlete but very raw....

    I love Fitz but no revisionist history please. While we all loved his moxy, he often came up well short when needed. I enjoyed watching him play but it was often a maddening endeavor.

    Freddie, hands down. Time has made us more favorable to Fitz but back in the day, a fair number here screamed about Fitz propensity for his boom or bust play. And now, we all are Fitz fans.

    Defense folded like a cheap suit today, and that was the second week in a row. Pure luck and indifference by a ref saved us las week. No such luck this week (maybe bad luck as the Pats lineman WAS downfield on the big play by Stevenson).2

    More misses as he did get pulled. Too raw.

    He just isnt a good zone CB, and that was known when he was drafted. Good in man albeit a bit grabby from time to time. Beane is guilty of trying to force a square peg into a round whole.

    The Bills Daily had it daily and up to date, not the same at all.

    No, he is way too raw and a poor tackler which showed on a major way againat the Jags. He was first man up and got pulled for the reasons I stated to begin my reply.

    It does appear that hes not comfortable or as effective in zone defense. Also, Jackson failed often as well. Play Elam to his strength - man.
