  1. Again, a great synopsis. While the Denney comment may be true, he at least made a few plays out there today. How many did Kelsay make, who in my opinion is the guy we most need to see take a hike....
  2. Hard to argue with that.........
  3. Despite our record, and lack of playoff berth again, I enjoyed the win immensely today, but I'm also pragmatic and know we're not going to win many games when the opposition has 532 yards of offense, to our 275. Yet, the win was sweet......Merry Christmas..
  4. The only trouble with the Jet's game was that JP played all 60 minutes......Had he sat out the last 2 and a half minutes......
  5. He'll never be "quite normal", and deserves every dime he gets. I had always held out hope that he would become the TE we all wanted. He had a very good size-speed combination and from all reports, the Bills were looking for him to step up last year. I'll never forget that play....curses to you Denver.... Merry Christmas to Kevin Everett, and a happy new Year to boot.....Stay strong.
  6. It was an exciting game for Bills fans, but when your Defense gives up 532 yards, you're not going to win many of those. We gained only 275 yards, yet managed to win....
  7. Yes he did, but Freddie had the bigger plays.
  8. Exactly...............
  9. Did Chambers actually hold up decently today? That's a scary thought, having him as your starting LT
  10. The only question remaining is where Losman will be bagging groceries next year.
  11. Josh Reed is a huge security blanket for Edwards, and Josh has become quite a solid, dependable player.
  12. Hopefully, he'll recover.....
  13. This is what happens when people allow their emotions to supersede their intellect. The Bills finally get lucky and develop a pretty darned good player (yes he's had lapses at critical time this year) who now wants to be paid like LT's are paid. I don't agree with his holdout earlier this year, but if this team is ever going to be a contender, having a top LT is a good place to start. Never wish for Bills player to play badly, never.
  14. What debate? After the past two weeks, even the most ardent JP supporter would have to remain silent. I was in his camp last year when he was replaced, but while I'm no where near sold on Edwards (who has really regressed badly after the Bills hot start), Edwards is still the better option.
  15. On a decided right wing board, you sure have some stones. Let us add that no matter what or how Obama does in the coming years, the bar set for him by the soon to be previous president could not have been lower. Currently it rests at zero. There is only one way to go. Even if Obama ends up being a poor president, that would still be a huge improvement over what this country has had the last almost eight years.
  16. Hummm. Now that an avatar I didn't expect from Stuck.....
  17. .....looks like you need a new user name. You certainly don't sound like a fan, let alone #1.
  18. .....hummm..... I believe we've all heard this lament many, many times the past 5 years (that was JP excuse #1 too)...
  19. Alas, we'll never know if we would have gotten the Bruce who was capable of tremendous, game changing play, or the Bruce who was totally dominated by Boselli (Jags) the following year. Had this been one of Bruce's better games, well.... One other note. I simply cannot recall when Bruce HAD a big game when we were playing in a BIG game. Anyone?
  20. Sure has the ability/capability for the "quick" release, but as for combining that with quick decisions, that hasn't been the case the past 5-6 weeks. He's been holding the ball way too long and clearly the eight men in coverage themes thrown at him gave him a lot of trouble. Now that isn't all his fault as teams clearly felt Edwards would hurt them more than the Bills ground game (which has finally shown some life the past couple weeks). The Bills need to keep the running game as a part of the attack to get teams to play him more honestly. Unfortunately, the OL hasn't shown the ability to consistently move people enough to make the run game consistent. Too many short yardage stuffs and losses allowed by these guys. All in all, Edwards gave us hope early. Unfortunately, for multiple reasons, he's failed the the last 5 games more often than not. He's got "potential" but as Parcells says, potential only means you haven't made it yet......
  21. I have no issue with giving Kesay the boot, but Denney has played decently. Why he gets such bad press amazes me. While he's clearly not a star, he plays sound, and actually makes some plays. He may not be a starter, but he's a valuable 3rd DE. As for the hard stance on Peters, he may have earned some disdain for his holdout, but he's still a top talent. Don't let your emotions over rule your intellect.
  22. How long ago that start seems now....
  23. Humm, 1 out his last 9 or 10 attempts in the 1st half likely did have something to do with it. The misses more often than not, weren't even close....
  24. #7...What? All we heard all week was how McKelvin arrived....shut down corner....Ha! the vet took him to school all day long today. Maybe he'll develop, but even againts KC, 2 picks asside, he gave up a number of catches and considerable yardage. Maybe he's a bit too much of a gambler. Bruce double moves today showed that Leodis isn't anywhere near earning the shut down label.
  25. 1960? I've been following the Bills since I was a wee lad when they lost the 1966 championship to KC. We've witnessed many a performance like today's. Sadly, it's actually all too common.
