It's a '99 Outback - been a great car, never had any major problems with it. It's running fine now, but I want to figure out what's causing these misfires and end them.

Ok - automotive question for the folks who know cars. I have an old Subaru Outback - runs great, 150K+ miles. Check engine light went on about a month ago so I brought it into the shop. They hooked it up and read the error code - a misfire on one of the cylinders and told me I needed a tune up. I was way overdue for a tune up, so it all made sense. So yesterday, 3 weeks after getting a tune up I'm sitting at a stop light and the car starts to run rough for a few seconds as I'm idling at the light - then the check engine light comes back on and before I know it, she's back to a smooth idle. I'd bet my house I had another misfire and that's what caused the light to come back on. Is it another misfire? If it was, why did it happen on a newly tuned up car? What should I check or do about it?

Exactly. With the job he's done so far you've got to believe the bar is set lower than anyone can imagine - if last year's performance wasn't enough to get him fired you have to wonder what is? I'm starting to think the only way he gets canned is if he either kills someone or takes over Michael Vick's dog fighting operation...

Exactly. I'm not an Owens cheerleader by any stretch of the imagination, but what is the guy supposed to say after the game? Everyone KNOWS he's got to be frustrated about being held without a catch, being underutilized, playing with a quarterback/system that take few shots downfield and losing games (hell, I'm frustrated as anything and I'm just a fan). They expect him to blow up and he doesn't, so now the story is "T.O. doesn't blow up but you can tell he's frustrated" - duh! I don't think T.O. owes us what he thinks - if he wants refrain from blasting anyone in public perhaps that's what he should do. In doing that if he shows frustration without saying "I'm frustrated" this should be his right as well. I don't understand why this is such a big media story - there is no story here guys......

It shout be fun to watch if we get to 6-2 and hear people saying stupid things like "Plaoffs" and "Super Bowl" - it'll be a repeat of last year - get all excited to to have the inevitable fall be that much harder...

Honestly, I don't have much faith in Dick being fired at any point in this season any maybe even before the end of his already-extended contract. Last year as the Bills went down the drain I figured that the bright side of things would be that Dick couln't possibly be retained. A small part of me wanted things to go so badly that he'd have to be fired and the healing could begin. I figured losing 8 out of the last 10 games and going 0-6 in the division would seal his fate for sure, but that didn't happen. If you can still be here after 3 years where you've never had even a .500 season, never beaten the Patriots, and won only 2 games against teams with winning records and you took a 5-1 season and completely tanked it in 2008, what's your confidence that any kind of coaching change would happen anytime soon?

Midnight on the east is a bit late for me to wait for the game. My guess is that with all the 4pm starts we have this season a majority of games won't be up until very late on the east coast.
