Everybody knows the 2 things the Bills need most are running backs and return men.... WTF? Is this Bizzaro World or something?
-
Todd Collins Rob Johnson JP Losman Trent Edwards Levi Brown is defintely the Quarterback of the Future™ - definetly the guy who is going to take us to the next level......
-
Apologies to you as well for the crybaby remark - I got hot when I saw the complaint. Kudos for this post - not everyone would have done that.
-
Flattered, but I'd be the first to admit I haven't the time to put in on a daily basis to run a site like that for years I'm just a guy who can appreciate the work of others without being a crybaby about it....
-
If you would like to start your own site, include "daily" in the name and follow through on that BY ACTUALLY UPDATING IT DAILY, EVEN IN THE OFFSEASON go right ahead. I'd also invite you to keep up that commitment when much of what you write you actually do before leaving for work at 4am using an HTML editor and no spell check. If you don't make any spelling mistakes we'll crown you king.... I hate it when people look at the work others do for the betterment of the Bills community and all they can do is complain. If you don't like it, offer to be the official site grammar cop, don't read it or do something better yourself, but don't come to another site and B word about it.......

Why the Bills can make the playoffs this year
The Avenger replied to mike oxhurtz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can we archive these posts somewhere so that we can pull up the past decade of posts and read the same reasons why "this year it's going to be different because....." Maybe we could just create some sort of fill in the blank form so you can easily say something like" Leodis McKelvin Aaron Maybin C.J. Spiller is going to be an impact player - that alone should give us more wins than last year" I admire the optimism, really, I do - wish I could still have some and I honestly wish any/all of the reasons cited would actually get us to the playoffs. The sad truth however, is that the same things are said year after year and we continue to get the same thing year in and year out - a crappy team that's playing golf instead of football in January. -
The spoof on Intervention was dead on. I love how they had Jeff saying, "Come on in. We've got somee people who love you here and they're goig to sit down and tell you some things and then we're done" - classic Jeff.......I also loved the "I'm walking on sunshine" comment - that's exactly what the girl in that huffing episode said (you know your life has hit rock bottom when you drug addiction is being parodied by Towlie on South Park).....

Don't get me wrong, I still live and die by the Bills (although the dying is killing me!). I'll still watch every game and yell and scream and make a fool of myself. I'll work hard to find 3 hours a week to steal away from my family and be a fan. I'll still pray that I get to see the team win the Super Bowl. BUT.....I'm not going to say any of the things on that list. It's time for action - the Bills have to SHOW me something. If that means that people question whether I'm a fan they go go take a flying leap - I've been a diehard fan longer than some of those folks have been alive......(my guess is that those people haven't suffered long enough to become like me)

After a decade of the same old dog food being pushed upon us you'll hae to excuse the folks who actually want to see some proof of positive forward motion with this organization. Many years ago I stopped believing the following: - We are a year (2 max!) away from the playoffs - The last coach was an idiot, but we finally have a guy who's going to turn it around - The front office was a bunch of idiots, but they've made changes these guys know what they're doing now - We have a new offense/defensive scheme - that's really gonna turn things around - We drafted some busts last year, but this year we picked up some players who are going to be great - We lost some close games last year - if the ball bounces our way this year we're a lock to win 10 games - Last year we had injuries like you wouldn't believe - this year we're bound to be healthier and that means more wins - With the right coaching I believe our quarterback can be successful - The o-line is going to be better this year (how could it be worse?) and that's going to change a lot of things on offense It's nice to believe any/all of the above, but they're just words. When you've been as bad as Buffalo has been for as long as Buffalo has been at some point you might actually want to see some results before making yourself feel better by repeating any of the above phrases. For the life of me I can't figure out how so many people keep repeating these things and are sure that "this year, it's gonna be different - I can feel it".

propose a nickname for Wang,Wood, Levitre et al
The Avenger replied to birdog1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Wang 69 jesey could become the most popular in the league - marketing genius! -
On of the posters here last night said that he thought NE would keep trading so that one day they would own the entire third round of a draft - thought that was pretty funny.......

Nix says Tebow was never in the cards
The Avenger replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good Lord he sounds like Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove when he talks......... -
How funny would it have been if the Saints picked a QB and had Brees announce it.....
-
The only way we get a 3 for Marshawn is if it's in 2020.....
-
OK, so it'll be a defensive back instead...... (does anyone understand a joke around here?)
-
I'm calling it now - Bills trade next year's 1st to get back in the first round and pick Dez Bryant.....
-
Kudos to the NFL on the Make a Wish kid - that's really cool....
-
Yes, but there have also been months for a trade to happen as well....
-
I HATE that - you've had months to figure it out and you're going to take 10 minutes - wtf?

Mike Lombardi: Bills will take a QB in Rd. 1
The Avenger replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this would just about guarantee the Second Coming of J.P. Losman..... -
Maybe because it's a Bills site run by somebody who knows the team rather than some putz fantasy football dweeb writing from his parents' basement and knows nothing about the Bills except what he reads in the national media or how players are ranked in Madden?
-
I think Dan Williams HAS to be the pick.
The Avenger replied to Hazed and Amuzed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My thoughts exactly. Unless someone the Bills love falls to them at 9 I think the Bills are going to try and trade down, and if they can't find a partner they will go with Dan Williams - let's just hope he's not related to Mike.... -
What are your surprise draft predictions?
The Avenger replied to Phlegm Alley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And the circle of Losman begins anew....... -
Honestly, I think it depends on the future labor agreement between the league and the players. Buffalo has been moving towards running the Bills more like a baseball team like the Pirates. The Pirates don't have a huge payroll and really aren't ever in contention to win the pennant, but they are run as a business - keep enogh of a product on the field for people to come and see them , make a little money and don't get involved with huge payrolls and winning championships. If the NFL ever moves to a similar sort of model where teams are able to be put into "tiers" you'll soon see that there will be organizations that shell out big bucks to be contenders (NE, Dallas) and teams who operate to keep costs down (Buffalo, Cinci, Cleveland, Jax). If that's the way things shake out it could easily be a decade or more before the Bills get lucky and pull together some sort of magical season that sends them to the playoffs. I really see this as the direction of the Bills.
