  1. Yes. Look carefully and you'll see Fitz was clean shaven and most of the other guys had long beards.....
  2. Now all we need to do is re-sign Maybin! Maybe Erik Flowers!
  3. How many times are we told that we came out on the bad side of things because we were looking at it from the wrong angle? This is the homerun throwback all over again - in some sort of alternate reality the rules of physics change and we learly didn't see what we saw....
  4. Today's game is a major test and so far the Bills have passed all of their major tests with flying colors! Oh, wait....
  5. That's the problem - we don't have any other options. If we had a young, unproven guy we were trying to develop for the future I'd be fine playing him if the season got worse - we don't have that guy. TJ, Thigpen and Smith are all known quantities and sadly, none of them probably represent an upgrade over Fitz. As for bringing in a real QB after this season, I'm not sure that happens. The Bills may be bad, but they aren't top pick bad - once again I think the pickings at QB will be pretty slim by the time the Bills draft. The FA QB market next year is terrible - not sure you'd get anyone there, either. The chances of having a markedly improved QB situation next season is pretty grim. This is why it's downright criminal that the Bills as an orgnization have refused to do anything on the QB front for so long - now we're in real trouble.
  6. I also thought KC needed more love - those fans are crazy - Arrowhead just rocks on Sundays with all the red and gold and the noise. KC fans are also some of the only folks I've seen drive huge distances to see their team play - gotta give props to anyone who drove all the way from Kansas to Buffalo for a game.
  7. I've been in the Boston area for almost 15 years so I know what it's like. Yeah - the Bills have been bad and the Pats have been very good - that's painful. But the most painful part is that the team you live and die for constantly gets beat by the local team and the local idiot fans get to live the dream of winning a Super Bowl - does anyone understand what we would do for a Bills championship? The absolute worst is when these people either try and talk smack or display some patronizing pitty - it's bad enough to take the loss, but to have to take crap from fans who don't know jack and who aren't 1% the fan you are is almost more than you can take - really makes you understand how people go postal....
  8. Interesting thought - I bet you're right about that... A few years back we took the kids to a water park and everyone, absolutely everyone who was under about 35 had ink - it was crazy. Most were parents with younger kids, but both mom and dad had some sort of ink - wow. I'm not a big fan myself (I find it very unattractive on women), but you do have to wonder how it is going to look when these folks age and how much they may regret having made such a permenent decision.
  9. ^ True dat...... Unbelieveable how many idiots walking around with Brady jerseys who don't know anything about the rules of football or even who is on the team beyond Brady, Welker and Gronk - ask them who plays left guard and they couldn't even point out where the guy lines up much less tell you his name....
  10. Hanged - ladies love it when you whisper that to them......
  11. Punching out horses in heaven now. RIP to a man who brought happiness to many........
  12. I thought the same thing - learned that while both are correct, somehow the standard when writing has become "pleaded" - I still like "pled"
  13. That's the problem - they're not even good at being bad - they'll win 6 games this year, good enough to put them well out of the running to draft the quarterback they desperately need. Boy, those meaningless wins at the end of the season sure will be satisfying, won't they?
  14. I understand part of the proposed stadium renovations is to engrave this in stone on the satdium wall as it has been the motto of Bills fan for more than a decade and is actually the only thing which keeps them coming to games.....
  15. Everyone say this unit has talent - where the hell is it? If you don't bring it on the field you don't truly have it (deep, I know). What if we're wrong and the talent we think is there really isn't?
  16. Great article! Glad to hear that she's doing so well. Those endurance races are tough - you have to be in unbelievable shape to do them. I go to the Boston Marathon as a spectator every year and last year was killer with the heat - amazing that anyone finished in that.
  17. He's got a mean streak - Old Hickory has killed men in duels before. I'm not so sure his slave-owning ways are going to go over too well in the locker room, though - that's the type of thing many teammates will definitely find "not cool".
  18. I agree that the defensive gameplan did not work and was not altered at all when it was clear it was not working - that's on the coaches. What's not on the coaches is guys not performing - plenty of times guys on the front four were not doubled up and still nobody seemed to be able to beat the protection - that's NOT on the coaches. I want to believe that the talent is there and that we had a bad day, but there is that nagging feeling that we don't have as much talent in some areas as we'd like to think. Talent isn't based on what you did in the past or what things look like on paper - talent is how you perform on Sunday.
  19. Anyone can post a negative post - no argument there. Maybe you were only talking about the people who said they are leaving, but you have to admit that your post comes across as if you've appointed yourself as the guy who decides who stays and who goes - that's my objection. Perhaps you didn't mean it that way, but we get these people season after season - the king of all fans who lets you know whether you're a fan or not.
  20. These are always some of my favorite threads evey year - the "rah-rah I support the Bills no matter whats" telling everyone who refuses to happily eat the dog food contantly placed in front of them that they aren't fans - as if the rah-rahs get any say in who is and who is not a fan. I wish I had that level of superority where I felt I could be the arbitor of fandom. Here's an idea - if you don't like hearing people complain about poor performance and only want to hear nice things about the team you may want to get an in over at the Bills PR department - they can always put a positive spin on anything. Or, and I know this is shocking - don't read message boards with critical posts. But please, don't start telling people to GTFO because they don't share your optimism.
  21. The Invisibles sounds good....... Overpriced and Undeperforming also has a nice ring to it....
  22. Don't hold back - tell us how you really feel......
  23. Breaking news on Boston.com - coach fined $50K for grabbing ref http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2012/09/nfl_fines_bill.html
  24. Exactly. Beating KC and Cleveland was nice, but let's not get too carried away with those wins. The Bills faced one decent opponent this season and not only lost, but pretty much got destroyed. While it would be great to see wins against some quality opponents, I'd at least like to see the Bills be able to hang with some of them - get some wins and you could make the playoffs.
  25. I love the last line: "To enroll in a fecal transplant study, visit clinicaltrials.gov." Yeah - that sounds like fun...I wonder if they let you choose whether you'll be a donor or recipient..... In all seriousness though, C. diff is nasty - my son had it after the antibiotics they gave him for heart surgery killed all the benefical bacteria in his system and C. diff took hold. After 2 weeks in the hospital recovering from the surgery we took him home and he was really sick - took him back and he had to stay another whole week while they battled the bacteria - it was miserable.
