  1. Pocket collapses around EJ - tries to run and gains 3 yards. So: Run QB Keeper 3 yards
  2. Looking at going to the NE Game - living outside of Boston my buddy is a Pats fan and it is actually more cost effective to road trip than to go to the game at Gillette (plus, I'd rather be with my fellow Bills fans and let him deal with any grief). Looks like we don't want to be too low if we want to be able to see the sidelines and avoid the camera trolley (although that's only on one side - do they have trolley's on both sides?)
  3. It's been a few years since made the trip to Orchard Park for a game - my buddy wants to road trip to a game and get some good tickets in the lower bowl. I usually sit in the upper deck when I go, so my question is this: is it problem to sit too close to the field on the sidelines - do you get blocked by any TV stuff or anything else? Do we want to make sure we sit X number of rows up?
  4. I like that it is moving to Friday nights - CBS is a disaster on Sundays with sports programming going way longer than they forecast - makes it impossible to reliably DVR the show....
  5. I hate to have to haggle every year, but the savings are too good not to do it. I just called the other night and was surprised to find that Sunday Ticket wasn't even on my account - for some reason it didn't auto-renew. This was a pain, because I usually call and threaten to cancel because the price to too high, wife won't put up with me for something so expensive, etc., etc. but now I have to complain about the price of something I haven't bought yet. I called and said I wanted ST but they needed to make me a deal - guy went to check and came back - said the best he could do was break up the payments into 6 payments (whoop de doo). I then asked for retention and when I got there I played the whole "I've been a loyal customer for aver a decade, new customers get this for free, why are you gauging me, etc." and before I knew it I had Sunday Ticket Max for a grand total of $35 after credits and a $100 Visa card - I'm good with that.
  6. He's not dead - he's sleeping. He's a Norwegian Blue...
  7. Aladdin, though a kids movie, really showed the manic genius of Robin Williams - they just let him go and animated who he became and what he did - a perfect medium for someone who quickly jumped from one character and reference to another - Aladdin really captured that and it was fun to watch.
  8. I saw Machine Head do this on the last Metallica tour - they do a very good version of this song, but it has to be one of the most covered metal songs of all time. I enjoy Corridor of Covers on SiriusXM Liquid Metal - all kinds of neat stuff there (who knew Slayer did In A Godda Da Vida?) - one of these days they should do an entire show of Hallowed Be Thy Name covers - I think they could dig up enough versions to fill the show - Iced Earth, Cradle of Filth, Dream Theater are just some of the ones I've heard.
  9. I'm all-in with Cannibal Corpse Hammer Smashed Face on bass clarinet: Dude looks like he's going to hyperventilate while the kid in the background has no idea what is going on - I laugh hysterically every time I watch this one....
  10. What's with Mike Williams' Taiban beard?
  11. Yeah, last December I mentioned I saw 2 concerts over the wekend - great looks on people's faces when I told them I had seen Slayer on Saturday and then Megadeth on Sunday. Got my tickets for Slayer/Exodus/Suicidal Tendencies in November already.
  12. The new Body Count remake of Suicidal Tendencies Institutionalized kills me - great stuff if you identified with the original back in the day...
  13. I know we have some poker players here and we've all had bad beats, but nothing compares to this guy's bad beat: http://youtu.be/8V7aA0RHK-Q
  14. Anybody out there have a suggestion for how to deodorize a car? I was visiting family on Cape Cod where they don't have trash pickup - you have to cart your trash to the dump. On the way home from a dump run the empty can fell in the back of my SUV and I got some really smelly garbage can juice in the back. I vacuumed it up almost immediately and I've applied a bunch of different cleaners to the area in the back but I still have a garbage smell. I'm rapidly approaching Seinfeld territory here - just sell the damn car to be free of the smell - anyone ever have success getting some serious funk out of a car?
  15. I was never a fan until I saw him on SNL - dude is better than just about all the regulars and could be on the show every week - every time he hosts it is the best show of the season. What I really like about JT is that he successfully transitioned from a child star to an adult with a great career - almost nobody does that. I feel like he could educate punks like Beiber on how it's done. So many of the child stars hit an age where they feel they have to do stupid and outrageous things to break away from their clean (often Disney) image - JT proved you don't have to do that. You don't have to do the drug thing, the sex thing or the getting into trouble with the law thing to prove you're not a kid anymore - JT proved you can do it with talent and a decent head on your shoulders.
  16. A nice boar brush and shaving soap is the way to go - makes shaving so much nicer and soap lasts forever. I bought some Proraso soap - is actually more like a hard foam from Italy that is very nice. I also have some scented shaving soaps from Pyrates Cove that are great - a few bucks for a bar that will last me over a year. I'm also a fan of the Dorco razors - nice razors at a nice price - Gillette is a great razor but way too expensive.
  17. Man, if I hear one more heated discussion about William McKinley on sports radio or get another snide William McKinley comment when I walk into a bar wearing my Bills hat I'm gonna lose it - come people, it happened in 1901 - let it go! Unbelievable the stigma we all get because a psycho like Leon Czolgosz decide to strike in our fair city - why must we all be victims? (just bustin' on ya - given the topic I'm not sure I would have thought to put McKinley on that list - but kudos for for finding a way to get Wide Right and a presidential assassination on the same list)
  18. I like both of these choices and the funny thing was that they were a couple - Streep threatened to exit The Deer Hunter if they dumped Cazale due to his diagnosis (fun fact - every full length movie in which John Cazale appeared was nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award). I'd also vote for Daniel Day Lewis and Annette Bening - I love a lot of the work they've done in the movies I've seen.
  19. I, too, pass along my best to you and your daughter - scary doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of it I'm sure.... A big congrats to the folks who design cars - it's amazing the type of wrecks people not only live through, but make it out of relatively unscathed. It's a testament to good engineering that you can be hit head on, have your car flip multiple times and not even have to spend time in the hospital - truly amazing.
  20. That's hilarious! My wife is Danish and let me tell you - those people don't use spice in their food at all - I joke that a salt and pepper set is a Danish spice rack because that's about the extent of the spices they use when they cook - hard to imagine those folks would have any concept of a ghost chili...
  21. Keep the name. Change the mascot and logo to a potato. Problem solved.
  22. They get more than the benefit of the doubt - they get a full pass. Look at their drafts - not a lot of spectacular picks there, but nobody calls them on their misses. The Bills OTOH, if the guy they draft doesn't become a perennial Pro Bowler in year one, he becomes a reach, a bust and a reason why the Bills are miserable. The spotlight is doubly bright with the Bills trading away the draft picks next year, which is why I'll cringe if anything keeps Sammy from his full potential this season.
  23. I voted for Sammy going down - anything that keeps him from having a year worthy of ROY consideration is going to reinforce the belief by most outside of Buffalo that trading up for him was a bad move. It's going to be bad if he doesn't have a solid year, but to have every hater in the national media write an "I told you so" piece about the Bills always making bad decisions and always being a bottom feeder will be unbearable. Besides, we all know if New England had done the same thing in the draft everyone would be heaping praise on that organization for making such a "bold" and "spectacular" move...
  24. Not sure you could build a new stadium without elevators though.....
  25. Yeah! Ban Deadliest Catch, too!
