  1. The Atlanta stuff has been known since the 90s when it all happened. It's why he isnt on the Wall of Fame (or HoF), and likely never will be. Rightfully so. He was one of my favorite players as a kid, but has been dead to me for nearly 30 years.
  2. Has anyone written them an Open Letter yet?
  3. I'll do it for $20. Real professional like too.
  4. In the words of Tom Donahoe - "Save your postage" And also, save us from the drum beating. The Bills dont hear it but we get the headache. I believe Orchard Park has some billboards you could rent if you really got serious about it. Good luck. Agreed. If we're talking to Tenn about Simmons then I'm interested. Otherwise, no thanks.
  5. This poll isnt fair, because it's obviously Dennison, but he wasnt supposed to be in that job in the first place. He was McD's, what, 3rd choice? (Maybe 4th) He was a warm body to fill the spot until they could entice someone better. Which they did.
  6. Let's be clear that there really is no such thing as "sports journalism". Any and all reporting on sports serves merely 2 purposes: Marketing the sport/league being reported on Generating views (and therefore revenue) for the reporting entity which is riding the popularity of sports There is no higher-purpose or altruistic existence. This is not connected to journalists attempting to report on wars, politics, and corruption in governments or corporations that will ultimately benefit/protect the general public. In summary, expect the worst. lol
  7. While it's obvious and apparent that Watson is his own kind of scumbag, I also believe/know that owners like Haslam and McNair are even bigger scumbags. Could be that given Watson's experience in Houston, where the team was happy to set him up with an NDA and hotel rooms to use, and then throw him under the bus for it when they needed leverage to force him to play or get rid of him, this was all a calculated plot to take as much money as he could from the NFL with his one last shot and ride off into the sunset a multi-millionaire. And while I dont support Watson as a person, I'm always for players milking as much cash out of the league as possible. So I almost want to say... good for him? I guess I'm saying I'm not surprsied he isnt "more appreciative", and I'd also argue he has already taken full advantage of his opportunity. To the tune of 230,000,000 fully guaranteed dollars. That's the problem. As we all discovered, Watson doesnt like pulling himself.
  8. Yeah, with a guy like Haslam, personal conduct violations are a feature not a bug.
  9. Couldnt be happier this is happening to Haslam. At least this puts the whole "guaranteed contract" argument to rest.
  10. Exactly the guy I was talking about.
  11. Interesting. And confirms some suspicions/issues I've been having. For the first few years of his career, Josh was a dedicated, laser-focused work horse during each offseason. It seemed every year he would come back having worked on one specific area (footwork, upper body mechanics, etc) that really helped him dial in and show up with at least a 33% improvement in his game (which is huge). By the end of 2021, he had his mechanics figured out and imo really only had one last hole in his game to address: his mindset. After the 13s KC game, I thought he had enough inspiration to figure it out. He needs to be the fierce, almost angry competitor that we saw that the end of that KC game. It reminded me very much of how Brady plays every game. I was hoping he'd come into 2022 with a focused, killer mindset. And in the Rams opener, it kinda looked like he might have figured it out. Unfortunately, by the Packers game it was apparent that mindset wouldnt stick, or was never really there to begin with. And now, this new "low positive" sounds like the opposite of where I want him to be. I love that Josh is a lovable goofball at heart, but I need a cold-blooded killer and fierce competitor.
  12. If McD were there, Puka Nacua would be buried on the depth chart having to "earn his snaps" as a rookie and Rams fans would be saying they need to cut him and upgrade the WRs.
  13. I dont get why posters say this. Just provide the link anyways so folks can find the info. Always link.
  14. Isnt that the point of the thread? Our guys are fine, it's how they are being used (or not used) that is the problem.
  15. All of them are more talented than what our Offensive scheme and play calling is showing. There are less talented guys showing out all over the NFL because their teams simply give them chances. You dont have to have 5 All Pros in your WR room to score points. This would usually be a fair point, but I have serious questions about our coaches' systems and requirements for determining who has "earned" snaps. Seems to be a recurring problem where talented players cant seem to find the field when held up to McD's "standards". So either he thinks Beane isnt signing the right guys, or he is incapable of coaching the best out of players. (hint: I dont think it's on Beane)
  16. For real. The only knock is that we are missing the Lombardis to go along with it.
  17. You're not a real TBD poster until you have at least a few warning points on your profile anyways.
  18. I dont know. I dont know how much I buy that McD is telling his OC "Dont try so hard in the beginning with this opponent". Could be that. Could be Dorsey not having the O prepared, and his gameplan/opening script sucks. Of course, tough to say when your QB walks out and throws a horrible pick on the 1st play. So sounds like it's a bit of all of it. But it does all start at the top.
  19. While we may not make draft picks there, we sign plenty of FAs to the Offense. So I cant say it is prioritized, or less prioritized by a large margin. The OLine additions we've made this year, just with McGovern and Edwards, are huge. Let alone spending a high pick on Torrence which is already paying off. This is the best OL we've had in McD's tenure, and possibly in decades. So no excuses there for the Offense. And while their performance may leave us wanting, we have enough talent at skill positions to be showing better results than we have been. Outside of Kelce, I dont see any All-Pros or even Pro-Bowlers on KC's Offense. I'd also argue we had lesser talent back when Josh was spreading the ball around and setting records for most unique WRs to catch a pass in games.
  20. No, and they never will. At least not publicly. They may communicate with the team if the team sends it in. But we'll never know, and NFL officiating will continue to live behind the veil of smoke and mirrors. Exactly where the league office wants it.
  21. I attribute the 2nd half production to having to play from behind, so the Offense is pressing more, taking more risks, and playing with more urgency. Which is closer to how they should be starting the game instead of flat, listless, and unprepared.
  22. See my other post. Scoring more points early means sustaining drives which means less possessions for the opponent which means less points for the opponent. If the Bills scored 10-14 points in the 1st half instead of... 3 (jfc), the whole game changes from there. No guarantee the Pats still score 13 in the 1st half or 16 in the 2nd. Of course, no guarantee the Bills score in the 2nf half either. But the point is, change the outcome of one failed drive and the entire game changes. Yes. This is the point I'm trying to make as well when saying we just need 10-14 points in the 1st half instead of 3. Doesnt even need to be a big lead, but be productive early, score some points, and everything changes.
  23. Not necessarily the "main" problem. But they recognize they can do better and it is the only thing within their control. They cant fix/change/control the coaches, so they have to tighten up and do what they can as players. It would certainly help if the players got their ***** together. We'll see how the game plan goes after that...
