Those are OCs who are hot for HC positions. Who are the hot candidates for an OC position? A bunch of first-time playcallers or failed HCs. Blech. Which is tempered by Matt Rhule who gets most of the blame for the failing in Carolina. For real tho. Who else is out there for OC?
-
I mean the other Former-HC OC Candidates are: Frank Reich Arthur Smith Kliff Kingsbury... Not exactly murderers row.
-
Maybe. Bill OBrien is already in the building and worked wonders with Zappe. If they are drafting a QB early this year, they need to retain BOB at all costs. I guess any job is better than no job but wondering if McDaniels would come back now that he isnt next in line after Belichick anymore.
-
If Belichick stays on and can keep BOB as OC and bring in Vrabel as DC, that will be the best coaching staff they've had in years. Maybe even decades. I was thinking BOB was the heir apparent if Bill got canned or stepped away this year, but sounds like he's trying to come back.

We do need a DC...

Sounds about right. -
Points scored definitely jumped up. We went from barely being able to score 20 points, and 0 in first halves, to multiple 30 point games. And we're far more consistent. He has better prior experience than any of the other "up and coming" candidates. Short of finding a fired, offensive Head Coach who is willing to step down I'd say Brady is the hottest OC candidate out there. What other QB coaches or Offensive assistants are primed for a promotion? Agreed, what we do in the playoffs will definitely decide his fate in Buffalo and as an OC candidate around the league.
-
Wonder if there is any connection with McD coming from the Reid tree, and if Pederson would want our OC job in 2025.
-
If we bring in an outside OC, Brady will have an OC job somewhere else that day.

Drive-thru marijuana dispensary near Highmark?
DrDawkinstein replied to notwoz's topic in Off the Wall
Havent been much impressed by the current dispensaries in Buffalo that I visited over Christmas. Decent spots for picking up edibles and that type of stuff. But the flower product was just ok, and damn expensive. Going to "my guy" is still a much better option for both quality and price. I did like Herbal IQ on Transit in Depew. Probably where I'd go back to next time as well. -
He's earned the right to present Terry his plan for hiring a DC and solidifying the OC spot, so he can go back to the job he's being paid for, which is managing the entire team not just the Defense.
-
Agreed Pierce did a good job and has certainly earned himself an opportunity for an interview. But I also have to wonder how much of his success was due to the "rally around the interim HC" thing, versus how it looks with a real, full year and trudging through training camp, etc. I think a lot of stuff gets forgiven with interim HCs that would normally get the side-eye from some vets.

For all the clamoring for Rome Odunze, he sure did look like the second coming of Gabe Davis last night. I guess getting the same player at a rookie price instead of what Gave will get in FA is nice for the cap, but I wasnt that impressed going into the game, and certainly wasnt wowed from that game. The first thing Brady did after taking over form Dorsey was inject a ton of motion to help Josh read the defense. There were multiple videos about it from Cover1 and even O'Sullivan and Warner. So we're on the right track

Yes, and iirc the meeting went horribly. Same as the 10 hour meeting between Harbaugh and the Vikings last year. Dude is out there and tough for NFL owners to deal with. With Harbaugh, the issue isnt convincing him to leave college football. It's convincing the owners he's worth dealing with.

The League already pushed it into May so it can spread out across the whole year. I dont think Roger would mind moving it back another weekend or two.

That's pretty much HALF of February even

Bills fan murdered after game

This should be way bigger news, the headlines on all the morning sports shows, and pinned to the top of this board. This garbage has to stop. It's just football. -

And yet, it's most likely only one of them will end up being good. Crazy. -
Yeah, that's why he was an after thought in an edit, haha. I dont think he was that impressive running the Cardinals' O. I dont know enough about his offense or his tendencies to say I'd even want him for Josh or not.

It's not an exact list. But he is this year. And I'd argue he and cousins are the boundary line. -

a CLASSIC! -
You'd have to hope for a fired Offensive Head Coach who is willing to take a step back for a year or two until another HC opportunity comes along. Any top OC is already lined up for the many open HC positions. Beyond that, you are hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with an up and coming first-time play caller. I agree the job shouldnt be handed to Brady. But I dont expect to find many better candidates. Given his experience at LSU and already calling plays for the Panthers and now the Bills, he's pretty much the top OC candidate out there. If the Bills dont hire him, he'll have another job that same day. edit: That said, Reich and Arthur Smith are NOT the right guys. Probably not Josh McDaniels either. Kliff Kinsgbury?

I'm not so sure on that. He's put up Top 10 numbers in this system with these weapons throwing to his first read. But looking at the list of great and good QBs... 5-6 Top Tier QBs mahomes allen burrow jackson dak Then the rest of the pack with some really good QBs at the top: cousins herbert goff purdy stroud lawrence stafford hurts mayfield carr Not sure I'd put Tua above anyone until we get to the Hurts/Mayfield area... and that's #13/14ish. If he's top 10, it's barely.
