  1. I love both these guys as role players, and have been a fan of the swagger they bring to the field in the past. Loved when they got in Taylor Lewan's head so bad in Tennessee they baited the Titans OL into back to back flags and killed their drive which sealed the game for us. But this crap just shows how little grip McD has on the team. Besides JP's undisciplined play all over the field and getting flags thrown on himself instead of baiting others into reacting and getting flags, no one on the team should be distracted from the game enough to engage with hecklers like this. Where is the professionalism? Where is the "Process"? Humble and Hungry?
  2. It worked out that they got a decent player who didnt bust, but to what end? They managed to get to a Super Bowl 6 years later under a completely different head coach, and then sank like a stone right after. Plus, if anyone is taking calls in a trade up to get MHJ they will have a ton of calls and the price will be ridiculous. I get it, he's amazing. But the trade up would be bad business imo. This is really it. In 2011, after AJ Green and Julio the drop off in that class was significant. There really wasnt another WR from that class worth mentioning. This year's class is much closer to being as deep or even deeper than the 2014 class when we got Watkins, but could have stayed put for Mike Evans.
  3. It will likely be that even if he is gone given the glaring holes we'll have on the roster at those positions.
  4. Tickets on sale Thursday!
  5. This draft is too deep at WR, and we have too many holes on Defense, to waste resources on moving up for a WR. I like Odunze, but I'd rather stay put, draft whoever falls to us at 15 (Coleman/Ebuka/Worthy) and even take another WR later on with one of the picks we save by not trading up. Like Jermaine Burton if he falls to the 4th or 5th. You're a real Tool, Maynard.
  6. Good call. Side note, I like that there arent any WRs on Draftek's list that are under 5'11" and only 2 that are under 6'.
  7. Trading up in the early 1st for a WR! Bold move!
  8. I mean Allen and Davis literally scored the go ahead TD mere minutes prior. They can get it done. Not all plays connect. Dems da breaks. 🤷‍♂️ I'll go with Brady and chalk it up to coaching. Again.
  9. If disaster struck, I dont think folks would be killing him for going for it. I do think folks would then (rightfully) criticize him about "How can you not make sure your QB knows to throw it away if there is any pressure or tight coverage? They had plenty of time to talk about it before the drive started!" Kinda like "How can you not make sure your kicker knows to squib it?"
  10. Belichick is past his time. He has no idea how to coach this generation of players. He was able to pull off his hardass "Patriot Way" because of old school Gen Xer Tom Brady. And they were able to keep that going for 20+ years. The problem is he never had to adapt over the years. Not to new Millennial players. And by the time Tom left, the rookies coming in are all Gen Z. He's two generations behind and these Zoomers could not be more outside his box.
  11. haha all good man, i wasnt upset at all. just doin the punk rock thing. and they did form in 1980 so that is kinda late-70s scene they definitely have a bit of catchiness to their riffs. really were the trailblazers of that socal punk sound. check out their 1994 release Stranger Than Fiction. start there. These guys are all in their late 50s/early 60s Holding up well
  12. Agreed on Morse, but it's been that way for a while and the last 2 drafts were way better stocked at Center, I dont think there is a great one in this draft. None that will go in the 1st, and likely none in the 2nd. We had good opportunity the last two drafts to grab Morse's future replacement, even if we stashed them at OG in the meantime.
  13. The worst part is, we really need TWO. So might be one in the 1st and one in the 5th. 😳
  14. True, but still ended up way better than I ever expected. I was sure he would bust. Maybe that's due to his current team and we'll see a significant drop off when he takes a truckload of money from a worse team.
  15. This is technically 2024, but I'll be buying tickets this Thursday when presale opens. Another killer Shaky Knees line up!
  16. Honestly, I've never seen WR2 as big a need as most of this board. Especially with the emergence of Kincaid and Shakir. And Defense will obviously be where all the holes and needs are. But with Diggs aging out and likely wrapping up his career in a couple years, it would be nice to have his replacement already on the team.
  17. Awesome! This was exactly the type of response I was hoping for. Interesting because we might be able to get him in the 2nd, so the same body type and draft position of guys like AJ Brown and DK Metcalf! If only his first name were two initials! I wonder if this is a case where Beane could trade DOWN in the 1st, and nab him in the 20s while picking up an extra 2nd or 3rd rounder.
  18. Same reason Fitz isnt coaching. He made close to $100M and has a cushy, high paying announcing gig. Who would EVER give that up so they can have the privilege of never seeing their family, working 20 hour days, and having everyone hate you?
  19. That is just one game, and for what it's worth I absolutely HATED Tee Higgins at Clemson because he was so soft and injury prone and would never make a tough catch or tough play... and look at how that worked out.
  20. Dont ever use the term pop on Bad Religion again. They;ve been around since the early 80s! How have you managed to avoid them this long? And the lead singer isnt a dentist, but he is a doctor! "Graffin obtained his PhD in zoology at Cornell University and has lectured courses in natural sciences at both the University of California, Los Angeles and at Cornell University. Graffin attended El Camino Real High School, then obtained both his BA Biology, BS Geology and master's in Geology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He went on to earn his PhD in Zoology from Cornell University.[5] The PhD dissertation was supervised by William B. Provine.[6] After years of being out-of-print, the title of his dissertation changed to "Evolution and Religion: Questioning the Beliefs of the World's Eminent Evolutionists".[7] Graffin returned to UCLA where he taught natural science courses.[8] In a June 2008 interview with Bad Religion bassist Jay Bentley, he mentioned that Graffin would be teaching there from January to March 2009.[9] In April 2011, Graffin revealed that he would return to Cornell University that fall to co-teach for 14 weeks.[10] In 2011 the new type species Qiliania graffini of an extinct bird from the lower Cretaceous was named after Graffin "for his contributions to evolutionary biology, his public out-reach through music, and his inspiration to young scientists around the world"
  21. Fair, but MHJ is the top pure talent. I'm not so afraid of what will likely be the 3rd best QB and whoever new coach they have.
  22. I'll be shocked if we take an OL before the 5th round. There's no need. Unless we cut Morse already and are looking for his replacement.
  23. I get it, but the counter is that our Offense is pretty much set where as the Defense is about to lose 6 out of 11 starters and most of our depth. We'll lose Davis, and maybe make a hole by cutting Morse, but other than that the entire Offense is set and returning. Starters, at least. If we end up with a CB or DT in the 1st, there will still be decent WR options in the 2nd. I dont want to wait until the 3rd for a WR, but it would still be our highest WR taken (not counting TE Kincaid).
  24. I dont think there will be any trading up, and definitely not for a WR (unless MHJ starts to fall for some reason which he wont, and even then... shades of Sammy Watkins trade)
