And while it starts as sounding like a Josh video, it quickly turns into a scheme/philosophy issue video where they criticize the plays and designs Dorsey is using

I mean, that's just not true. Erik and crew were very critical of Dorsey going back to the 2022 season, and his lack of creativity, and his reliance on coverage beaters and (I'm forgetting the name of the concept where the two inside WRs cross each other over the middle and then turn up-field). They have multiple videos from the start of the 2023 season and then pretty much one a week questioning Dorsey, his play calling, and his scheme. They may have given him a little credit on running "an effecient offense" but then always went on to say "What's that efficiency worth when your offense isnt working?"

But then what is the 2025 dead cap number you are kicking down the road? That money doesnt just disappear because you wait until June 1. I'm also not really following your numbers or how you have them laid out as it pertains to releasing/trading Diggs and his cap numbers. We can do it in 2025 to save $5M. But I have to think $5M isnt worth losing a player like Diggs over.

Which significantly changes the level of players we are going to acquire in "the 1st round". Picking in the Top 10 vs Bottom 10 (or even bottom 5) makes it tougher. We could definitely hindsight the Oliver pick, but does having Jeffery Simmons or Brian Burns get us past KC? And Ed looks to finally be coming into his own, 🤞. Outside of Elam, I dont see any glaring misses. Rousseau is developing, Kincaid is already on his way to becoming a star. But I agree that Beane has had a lot of doubles and triples, but no home runs since Josh (maybe Kincaid will get there). My bigger beef with Beane is his handling of 2nd round picks. We've missed out on a bunch of home runs that were sitting in our laps because Beane gets stuck on certain guys or blinded trying to execute some plan.

No, probably not future HoFer Chris Jones. But George Karlaftis definitely benefits from Spags and his system and his coaching. Along with guys like Derrick Nnadi and the rest of the largely unknown Cheifs DL who manage to show up on the big stage. And speaking of - Karlaftis is a great comparison to Rousseau considering they were both #30 picks. That dude is coming right along and making plays. Plays I'd say Rousseau is more than capable of, and that we see flashes of.

Really Front 8 with our rotation. And the back 7 didnt do so hot either. And that should tell you, once again, where the problem really lies.

We have the talent. We dont have people who can get the most out of that talent or put that talent in positions to succeed.

Between Tre White, Matt Milano, and Ed Oliver, Beane has shown the ability to get our guys re-signed on incredibly team friendly deals. I'm hopinh he can work the same magic on Rousseau. But he will absolutely get more than $13M/year. We are talking a 2026-2029 contract with a cap likely over $300M.

I've long suspected the AHC title was given to Washington in an effort to get him promoted out of the organization while getting a couple of 3rd rounders. I havent been impressed with his work while he's been here. It seemed like Von contributed more to AJE and Groot's development in 1 year than Washington was able to manage.

Considering we are talking about a contract that will run 2026-2029, yes. Those numbers should be more than acceptable and workable by our FO.

What's the concern? Dude is playing exactly how you'd expect a #30 1st round pick to play. Yes, you pick up the option, and extend him. No brainer. This is nothing like Edmunds.

Oh, I have my criticisms of Josh, for sure. As recently highlighted here But you didnt list "QB" as an option in your poll, and you encouraged us to just pick one, so this is my hill to die on. And come to think of it, not listing QB but putting blame on him in your replies gives you the opportunity to argue with everyone who responds... Is this just a thinly veiled hate-on-Josh post for yourself?!?

For the Chiefs, McD wasnt just along for the ride. He was busy having his defense absolutely blow the game, AGAIN, if not for a completely random and lucky Offensive Offside penalty on the Chiefs WR. The Cowboys game saw Brady stick to the run. I'll give McD credit here for how prepared and fired up the ENTIRE team was, but that also goes to highlight my point about our inconsistency, and McD's issues this year filling in the DC spot and leaving the other 2 units without a true leader. Then McD had us roll into LA, get down against Easton f$#&ing Stick and the 5-9 Chargers into the 2nd quarter AND last minute of the game, and giving Stick one of his highest rated games as the Chargers scored on ALL but one of their 2nd half possessions. Thankfully, Josh lead the team on a 13-play last possession drive to get the game winning FG. ALL of our units had issues that day, which speaks to the HC. So unfortunately, no, McD wasnt just along for the ride. Might have been easier that way tho. For the record, I'm with you on this tired, old "one score game" argument. It needs to be stated that the Bills also never get blown out. And since no one is winning ALL the games in the NFL, this "one score game" stat shows that the Bills are always in it, even in our losses. I'll give some credit there.
