I believe this has already been addressed. The Bengals have nothing close to the Eagles OL and DL of 2024. I think the point is the Eagles can pay those guys when they draft well in the trenches first. The Bengals have not done that more important part. They are far closer to the Dolphins with Hill and Waddle and unable to do anything because their OL and DL suck.

Another one - Trey Hendrickson asks for a trade from Cincy

Ha, for some reason I thought he was mid/late 20s. That said, he's not 31 either. He just turned 30 and will be 30 for almost all of this upcoming season. Splitting hairs, but each year does make a difference. I'm still willing to give one 1st rd pick and a player. We pick so late, we're never finding anyone at that level anyways. -
I would hope so as they are all different. Bosa is mostly a has-been signed on a prove-it deal at the end of his career. Hoecht is young, but a rotational guy at best. Hendrickson is young and playmaker/gamechanger. I think the real question is do we go after Hendrickson after paying Groot. But I'm not against throwing a lot of money in to the DE position.

2025 1st rd pick 2026 1st rd pick AJ Epenesa just to give them someone for their roster. Make it happen. Mike Brown isnt giving out another big contract. -
If this works out, who on the Bills is the new Arthur Moats?

I was like, "hey i recognize that name... unfortunately"

I'm sure Beane has a very good idea on how this will play out given he is the one in talks with Cook's camp, and I trust him to handle it accordingly. The good news if he does hold out is since so many folks here think he "isnt an every down back", "isnt a game changer", and "isnt even worth $10M/yr", then we obviously wont miss out on much with him sitting out.

Oh yeah, McDermott loves this type of guy. Already has his spot on the bench picked out for him.

Chargers are the new Panthers? Raiding bad teams is certainly a... strategy...

I absolutely agree Beane doesnt. As stated in my post upthread. I expect he gave Cook an extension offer inline with the rest of the offers, probably around $10M-12M. Cook is broadcasting $15M, and some of us suspect he could be negotiated down to $14M. Which is possibly only a $2M difference. But a "market value" is usually higher (even much higher) than an extension value. That;s why the market value I guessed is around $12-$15M whether you like it or not. Someone will pay that. Especially by the 2026 offseason with bigger cap. He'll absolutely play out his contract so he can get out of that contract. Otherwise he doesnt get to hit free agency.

I cant believe that Garrett's cap hit is even on the Top-20 list of fan grievances with that team. -
If you're a fan of Led Zeppelin and wish they didnt start to suck in the 80s with In Through the Out Door and Coda, then you need to check out Palm Palm. They are not a LZ rip off like we've seen with some other recent bands. They just have a vibe that reminds me of them at times, and hit some familiar riffs. And lesser so here...

Classic Mike Brown I think its the "and more" part that is the issue. I'd bet there are a handful of teams willing to give up a 1st for Hendrickson. I'd also bet Mike Brown wants way more than that.
