The Chiefs Big Three are Mahomes, Chris Jones and Kelce
DrDawkinstein replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
100% agree. Their WRs have cost them 4 games over dumb, botched plays. I think most of Mahomes' reaction was projecting his frustrations with team mates onto the refs. Still a bad look. Looking forward to hearing how much he gets fined. -
WR’s checking with officials when lining up
DrDawkinstein replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now THIS is an example where the player is right to be pissed. Although he didnt do a good job of looking at the ref to confirm. -
Which was amusing because I havent seen anyone argue that he isnt a good person, just not a good Head Coach. I think Josh's statement is to address this overblown 9/11 sympathizer stuff. The rest of the article about being too tight and anxious and freezing up in the big moments, as well as the criticism for trying to neuter Josh, still stands.

Kelce confirmed after the game that this was improvised in the moment because he saw McCoy right there. This next one is from this season... He also did it in the AFC Champ game for a fumble

The Chiefs Big Three are Mahomes, Chris Jones and Kelce
DrDawkinstein replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like Mahomes, especially after seeing the Quarterbacks show on Netflix. But I'm not sure I'd say he's always a class act. Dude flops and acts and cries to the refs a TON, even more so than Josh who gets called out in the media all the time for it. Mahomes has been a class act as long as the refs are making calls go their way. Not sure how much that counts. I get it though. The NFL and Refs have trained him to be this way. When you are used to privilege, equality feels like oppression. -
First off, "Kelce". Second, it was absolutely improvised. Kelce talks about it all the time on his podcast, about wanting to throw laterals and how it pisses off Reid in practice. Mahomes also confirmed post game that it was an improvised lateral. It isnt even Kelce's first lateral this season, but normally he does more of a hand off to a guy right near him. Nothing this drastic. To the bold, yes, Toney is exactly the type of player to not run down field to help block and instead stand there and watch. He's horrible.

Are you ready to marry Brady? (Joe)
DrDawkinstein replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we're going to make Brady our OC then we better be ready to make him a HC since any OC that has a bit of success will be on the next short list of HC candidates. And if we're going to sit on a carousel of OCs with McDefense at the helm, it's unlikely we never get anything going. For the crowd that is scared to fire McD because of what that turn over might mean and having to re-build, get ready for the same thing with OCs constantly leaving. Promote Brady to OC, and if it works out next year, be ready to promote him to HC. Such is the modern NFL. -
Ah, I missed the 2020 game when I was looking through the schedules!

WR’s checking with officials when lining up

Oh absolutely. All of this is on Toney. Not surprising as he may be the dumbest person in the NFL right now. -
WR’s checking with officials when lining up
DrDawkinstein replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
Usually the former. It's not the refs job to tell them they have an illegal formation, but the refs will help them be on the line instead of Offside. -
I believe we're even 4/4 in the regular season going back to McD beating them with Tyrod in 2017.
-
Minus a fluke mistake by a WR, not sure McD has figured anything out on late-game defense with the results of that play. But sure, I can appreciate they arent just giving them the underneath. Although letting Kelce run free deep might be showing us WHY they line up off the ball.
-
I'm not going to complain that McD is too conservative, especially at the end of games, and then complain when they were going for a TD.

On our last series where we ended up kicking the go ahead FG, we went to Diggs twice and he got absolutely MUGGED both times. Sneed was wrapped around him, and had his left arm pinned down before the ball was even close. No call. Looks like a bad drop for Diggs. Dude is a baller. Look how he picked up that 1st down earlier in the game. I agree he might be dinged up. But he hasnt given up or checked out. Still crazy to me how much Bills fans want to find a reason to disparage this guy.

The "McDermott Handicap" and hopefully a solution
DrDawkinstein replied to peterpan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont disagree with this, but it really means demoting McDermott to DC and hiring a real Head Coach. Which I would also agree with. Isn't ever going to happen, but I agree with the idea. -
Get that AJE deal DONE!
-
HUGE upgrade. No offense, Hailee. But HUGE upgrade.
-
And the guy that lined up with the head start was involved in the play and scored the touchdown, so yeah. GFY, Pat.

You know... the more I see of these post game pressers by Reid and Mahomes, the angrier I get. How dare they! Getting up there like they're a common victim, talking about "this isnt good for the NFL" and "another week talking about the refs". Mother ***** YOU are the one talking about the refs! And the basic rules ARE good for the NFL! I know everyone hates the officiating in the NFL, and rightfully so. But that doesnt mean you get to complain about a correct call. By a MILE!

Taylor Rapp being reckless and a liability
DrDawkinstein replied to Mynamemike's topic in The Stadium Wall
Eyes closed, head down, leading with the crown. Classic Rapp. -
And we blow them out if our players who actually exist are all healthy. So what?
-
Apparently he slipped at home and hit his head and that was that. Freak accident type thing. Bummer.
-
Crazy enough, the "QB" of the Homerun Throwback, Frank Wycheck, just passed away yesterday at 52. Maybe he reached down and gave Toney a little push forward as he was lining up, to get us back for getting one over on us with a forward lateral.
-
Good news is we should be picking ahead of them in a WR-rich draft to stay ahead in the arms race.
