  1. Haha, I have a plan. Not sure about Beane until we get more info tho.
  2. But teams can go outside of that formula. It literally happened when Texans traded Osweiler to Cleveland just to get his guaranteed money off their books.
  3. How does Greg know all the financial details when they havent come out yet?
  4. Im sure that's Beane's plan
  5. Here is an article from when the Texans traded Osweiler to Cleveland for nothing other than cap space, and Cleveland took on his guaranteed/dead cap money. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/18865517/houston-texans-trade-brock-osweiler-2018-second-round-pick-cleveland-browns
  6. "By the book", yes. But Houston can take on whatever they want, and even send us straight up cash.
  7. That's the "by the book" breakdown. Houston can take on any amount they want, and even trade us cash for a player. We'll have to see how this shakes out.
  8. Houston can absolutely agree to take on any/all of the remaining amount.
  9. Says who? Link to the financials?
  10. Whatever makes up his big cap hit and dead money. Houston can take that on if they want.
  11. We'll have to see how all the numbers shake out in the long run. Texans could absolutely take on his bonus and most of his cap if they so choose. Most of the time teams dont, but it does happen. It's more a voluntary, sweeten the deal thing.
  12. I'm now on board with drafting TWO wrs back to back!
  13. They've done it before. Like with Brock Osweiler.
  14. Cant the Texans take on a bunch of that cap? Probably why we're sending so many picks with him just for a 2025 2nd.
  15. First thing I thought of when I read the article and it mentioned the house is in his grandmas name. ☹️
  16. Suicide doesnt mean CTE. Plenty of people commit suicide without CTE. Guys have a tough time coping with life after the NFL even with working brains. It's a HUGE life change and at a relative early age. Plus, there is a history of mental illness in that family. Vernon and Vontae's youngest brother was arrested for killing someone with a hammer, and attacking other random people, and was found not fit to stand trial. https://www.cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco/news/vernon-davis-brother-found-unfit-for-trial-in-deadly-d-c-hammer-attack/ Need to completely reinstate the Mental Health Systems Act of 1980. Killing it was one of the worst things to happen to this country and a huge reason why we have the homeless and senseless killing issues we're currently faced with today.
  17. Weird that my first thought was April Fools... Sad all around. Too early, and if no foul play, likely he did not adjust to life after football well.
  18. It feels like given the current status of society we dont really need an April Fools Day anymore.
  19. The many Diggs threads and posts say otherwise.
  20. Great job, @GunnerBill. If I'm a Broncos fan and watch them take Bo Nix then it's officially time to jump off a bridge.
  21. Eh, I'd say unlikely because AB has been posting stuff just like this nonstop for the past year+ and everyone has ignored it so far. I even feel dirty contributing to this thread and almost wish it wasnt on the board, so I'm just going to see my way out.
  22. I cant tell if AB is funny or tragic. 99% of the time I lean tragic, but then he goes and posts something genius like this
