  1. What ARE we talking about here? Look at the title and OP of this thread. No doubt his numbers have fallen off for the past month of so. What does that have to do with "3rd downs" and coaches supposedly scheming him out of the gameplan? Since the Philly game, where he was body slammed onto his back for the 2nd week in a row, his numbers have been down. Not just on 3rd downs. What mysterious, unknown, never-before-seen reason could be behind such a thing? A lingering back/rib issue. Easy as that.
  2. Ah yes, Broadcast Bias as I like to call it. There was a lot of talk after the Philly game because Jim Nantz happened to notice Diggs was off the field and then he was off for like a single 3rd down, and then Nantz made it into a "thing". After the game tho, it turned out that Diggs was in for 87 of 95 Offensive snaps. Point is, I dont care about announcers. Show me the numbers. He's currently at 81% of Offensive Snaps. In 2022 he finished at 77%. In 2021 he finished at 82%. What is the big deal?
  3. Coaching conspiracy to scheme him out of practice! Definitely not a lingering injury. I hope I'm wrong!
  4. Ok, man. Good luck with the investigation.
  5. Because he missed some practice time this week to work with the trainers/get some treatment. The same reason they reported Diggs injury a few weeks back, but then stopped. Because he isnt missing any official time. You are literally answering your own questions.
  6. Ok, fair enough, you're just asking questions. Here are your answers: He isnt being schemed out. As a matter of fact the Bills are finding new ways to force the ball to him even if it means lining him up at RB. He isnt being taken out by coaches. He comes out on his own for breathers, and even more so now that he is nursing a lingering back/ribs injury from being illegally suplexed two weeks in a row. There is no conspiracy there because such injuries are common and not required to be reported if he isnt missing any time. Stef doesnt have the words "minimal effort" in his vocabulary. Please dont ever insult the best competitor we have on our team like that ever again. Go Bills.
  7. Ok, so no numbers handy means nothing has really been "proven". You are just buying into the assumptions and perceptions of some talking heads looking for clicks. Got it. And to the bold, it isnt a big conspiracy. It's literally how the NFL works. Nagging injuries that dont cause missed time dont need to be reported. You are making way more of this than there is.
  8. Wasnt directing my comment at you as much as building off the post about the running play in the topic of the thread. That said, it isnt a big conspiracy or that uncommon for some minor yet nagging injuries to go unreported across the league. Diggs has been injured ever since he was illegally suplexed by Sauce Gardner, and then it happening again the next week.
  9. And if there was some coaching conspiracy to keep the ball away from him, they wouldnt be force feeding as a RB after they saw the D take him away in the passing game.
  10. What are the numbers on this that prove it? What are his snaps and target numbers?
  11. When he's in the game they throw him the ball. When he takes himself out of the game they throw to other people.
  12. All joking aside, he's probably the best returner in this draft and would immediately fill Hyde's spot of "safe catcher" if not full time return duties.
  13. No downside for the team, just for the player.
  14. They get hyped EVERY year because Miami is a sexy pick and all the talking heads want to be able to go to Miami to cover the team. At this point, I enjoy watching them get over hyped because I know they will fall short and it just makes the fan disappointment that much greater.
  15. He's done a great job over the last 5 years developing late round picks like Jaquan Johnson, Damar Hamlin, and Cam Lewis so they are ready to take over the Safety position this year.
  16. Hope not, because a retirement accelerates all his dead money just as if we cut him. Maybe he can wait until post June 1 to retire? 🤞
  17. ha, I'm not sure if yall are joking, but OP used OT to mean Off Topic since some draft talk trheads will get shut down during the season.
  18. Except we are looking to fill TWO STARTING Safety spots, as opposed to a 2nd option WR on an offense that already has Diggs, Kincaid, etc catching passes, and this draft is deep with WRs. I'm all for taking a WR early, likely the 1st round. But I understand if they go DB first.
  19. Dont fall for boyst's race bait trolling.
  20. lol, pump the brakes on that nonsense. I say Safety because that allows for far more flexibility in his usage. Think more along the lines of Troy Palamalu. Listing him as a CB and sticking him outside to cover 1 guy, or even 1 small zone, is a huge waste of his talents, athleticism, and innate football instincts. It also allows opponents to take him out of the game by simply not throwing at him. Listing him at Safety allows him to move around, maybe even roam free, let him take over the field and make plays. He's too good and talented to waste at just a CB spot.
  21. haha, I normally like @Wayne Arnold's posting so I too suppressed my initial reaction to that post.
  22. For the Bills, likely listed as a Safety. But he's one of those guys McD would use everywhere. Even at LB like he did with Poyer. Throw him down on the slot if need be. Whatever.
  23. Bills arent on that list because we have no coordinators! 😆 Well, Special Teams I guess but no one likes that guy.
  24. Round 1: Cooper Dejean Round 2: Legette/Polk Round 3: Nazir Stackhouse oooh weee, that'd be a helluva draft...
