Leslie Fraizer Interviewing with Chargers
DrDawkinstein replied to 17islongenough's topic in The Stadium Wall
As any of us long time Bills fans can tell them, it all starts and ends with ownership. Chargers will be stuck in this cycle for a while. -
Yeah, he is definitely more in the Staley category than the Vrabel category. He didnt achieve any real success in Miami. Not sure what he does well. It would have to be a desperate team that hires him as HC. Like if Atlanta doesnt get moving on interviews soon!

While it is definitely a coaching issue, I'm not sure I can blame the guy thrown into the fire for not fixing everything on a poorly coached offense in less than 2 months. I give Brady the benefit of the doubt that those things could be addressed with an entire training camp/season at the helm. But also another reason I point out that McD must give up the DC position and go back to overseeing all 3 phases. He can point out missed opportunities without it being a harsh criticism. I'd bet rewatching that tape, Josh would tell you the same thing. He already said as much in his immediate post games that he had a lot of throws he like back and missed opportunities on plays. Doing basic analysis isnt bashing. The only way to improve is to look at that type of stuff.

Good call on the connection and OSU needing a change at HC. But I dont think Vrabel is cut out for College Football life, and the recruiting, and having to field an SEC-type team and passing attack while in the Big10 to stay competitive.
-
The TEAM and TALENT won that in spite of the coaching, or lack there of this year. Story of the entire season. Really the story of McD's tenure since 2019. Talent wins games until the game depends on a coaching decision, then we lose.

The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
DrDawkinstein replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs is a cancer. -
Who did he wreck? Dude is a great Offensive coach, and a great QB coach. Made Watson what he was in Houston.
-
Oh he'll be back. And he's been a great DC. But this experiment needs to be over. Be a Head Coach and show some love to the Offense and Special Teams so all three units show up ready to play instead of just the Defense. Or take the demotion to DC and let Terry bring in a true HC (which I obviously dont see happening).

Steelers @ Bills. Monday, January 15th at 4:30pm.

Honestly kinda high? We turn the ball over a lot. Cant count that we'll always be able to overcome that. -
You think they go Vrabel over OBrien who is already there and they need him for their new QB?
-
Bud Adams is a classless scumbag who liked beating the Bills after our Oilers Comeback game and Music City Forward Pass. Nothing more to it than rivalry and an owner who cant rise above it. And in this particular game the Titans blew us out so he was being a gracious winner and host and rubbing it in.
-
If I'm Terry then I'm asking him why I'm paying Head Coach wages for a DC and a rudderless team. Hoping for Babich if we stay in house.

I feel this was the turning point in his career... Especially with the kid on the toilet in the mirror.

The final whistle could come at 3pm if both teams have their way -

If we get a fluke punt return and they do NOT get a fluke punt BLOCK like they are known to do... -
I cant stand any of the Adams after that low class Bud Adams flipped off the Bills and Bills fans after a game. Money cant buy class.
-
I absolutely hope the Pats hire Vrabel as HC over BOB as they get ready to draft their QB of the future.
-
I thought Jets was his first game as it's the game after Denver. Point still stands, we scored over 30 points in his first game and looked like the Bills of 2021 again.
-
Kinda my point. There are no other known names to be promoted to OC like Joe Brady. We know plenty of candidates for HC, not too early to guess there. edit: If we start in the usual place, Kyle Shanahan's tree, he does have Klint Kubiak (Gary's son) and Brian Griese on staff that could be promoted to full OC. In LA with McVay you have Zac Robinson as Passing Coordinator/QB Coach. Dallas has Scott Tolzien as QB Coach. I'll keep looking but not exactly a ton of tough competition for Brady's experience.
-
It's a very long way of not directly saying "I like our GM more than our Coach and one had to go"
-
If Vrabel brings his own staff, I'd love to bring EB in as OC.
-
Those are OCs who are hot for HC positions. Who are the hot candidates for an OC position? A bunch of first-time playcallers or failed HCs. Blech. Which is tempered by Matt Rhule who gets most of the blame for the failing in Carolina. For real tho. Who else is out there for OC?
-
I mean the other Former-HC OC Candidates are: Frank Reich Arthur Smith Kliff Kingsbury... Not exactly murderers row.
