  1. Being out in an Atlanta sports bar for the draft when that pick was made is one of my all time real life sports highlights. Absolute chaos.
  2. Depends on your definition of "they". Some in the FO and ownership? Most likely. But it was pretty clear that KOC wanted someone more malleable and moldable who would do exactly what he said and only what he said, his way. Their conflicts were evident even in the kumbaya-editing of Quarterbacks on Netflix. I'm sure KOC would only speak positively of Kirk, and I dont think there is any real animosity there. But there has definitely been frustration with KOC trying to implement his system and Kirk doing his own thing on the field. The mild success KOC was able to have with QBs like Josh Dobbs gave him enough rope to convince the FO to make these moves. Sure, if Cousins wanted to re-sign at $20M/yr of course they wouldve done it. No brainer. But in reality, given Kirk's market and KOC wanting to establish himself, they got JJ. I dont disagree on the 6+ wins. Just like it's tough to win games in the NFL, it's also tough to suck to the level of 4 or less wins.
  3. Kevin O'Connell going to learn the "careful what you wish for" lesson of moving on from a headstrong vet QB like Cousins to a rookie who will listen to/do everything he says in JJ McCarthy. I think Darnold starts at least 8 games, so they may end up with 3ish wins there. Then switch to JJ who might pull off 1 more win. So yeah, 3-4 wins tops. Will be interesting to see how long it takes for heads to roll in the FO/Coaching staff.
  4. Checked while I was in the app and it looks like you still need the HBO add-on in Hulu to get it. So for now, just HBO/Max.
  5. Fair on the injury concerns. Anyone playing that position that physically wont last long in the league. But it's what their team is all about, at least for now.
  6. Source? And Don was obviously talking about rich people who dont pay their fair share of taxes. Which is a LOT of them.
  7. A competent, non fraudulent CPA would not have suggested these ideas because they are settled issues. This absolutely reeks of Tik Tok tax advice. Or his dad regularly practices tax fraud and figured he could do similar things with his son.
  8. Yeah I thought that at times too, but he mostly seems to be extra only with himself/his family. I thought he did a good job supporting Purdy and keeping him going.
  9. That's not true. They've successfully gone after the people we are talking about in this thread that we all agree should start paying their fair share. https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/11/politics/irs-back-taxes-millionaires/index.html IRS collected $1 billion in back taxes from millionaires in less than a year GD, this thread is destined for PPP aint it?
  10. They showed the numbers with and without Deebo, and without Deebo SF is pretty average at best. Whatever it is that he brings and makes the defenses do obviously helps the entire team. Aiyuk is a very good WR, but doesnt bring anything extra or special beyond what any other good WR would do.
  11. Fair point, although I hope thats not what @Don Otreply meant.
  12. As it should be, and exactly why millionaires should pay their taxes. Otherwise, those millionaires are putting the entire burden on us, the middle class.
  13. As they should. Not trying to create LLCs and shirk the rules just because they can pay lawyers. Anything else, take it to PPP.
  14. I pay my share. And this kid will make more this year than I'll make working my entire lifetime. Let me be clear: I fully support these players milking every dollar they can from the trillion dollar NFL which makes it money off fans And then I fully expect these millionaires (and billionaire owners) to pay their fair share into the infrastructure and services that benefit us all
  15. I was typing this exact same thing then saw your reply.
  16. Werent they all nursing injuries tho? I think that's one of the points the show was trying to make. Jefferson missed significant time with a pulled hamstring and then came back and immediately got hit in the back and was coughing up blood. Adams separated his AC joint to the point you could see it sticking up through his hoodie. Even Kittle had to leave the Super Bowl and a most critical time because he couldnt lift his arm. Deebo had a fracture in his scapula, which can not feel good. And it's not like he didnt take a hard shot from a helmet right into his arm back that broke it. I know he left a couple games, but he didnt miss much time. These guys take major hits.
  17. Yeah, Kittle is funny. There was a hit he took in the Vikings game and his reaction had my actually laughing out loud. (I wont spoil it if folks arent to that episode yet)
  18. The sequel to last year's Quarterback, this year they are following Receivers. Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and Amon Ra St Brown. I binged the whole series the last couple of days, and was again impressed with both the production and the players. I like how they keep a LOT more of the on-field dialogue, more so than what I've seen out of other productions that censor or cut out conversation. I always had a suspicion there was a lot more talking going on during plays than what we see in Mic'ed Up, and this certainly proved it. All big family guys, both with their parents, and being parents. As a fellow girl-dad it was funny to see Davante Adams say some of the exact same things that I do. But a real good focus on the football aspect, not much drama or any of that. Anyone else watching? (I searched but didnt find a thread on this, and figured its a different discussion than playing GM in the Hard Knocks thread)
  19. lol I binged that whole show the last couple of days. Great group of guys and great families. I need to search for a thread... But yeah, would seem like a no-brainer and would keep Adams out of the division, so that would be a great trade.
  20. Nope. Because he f%^cked.
  21. I wouldnt be upset with this. Keep Adams off the Jets
  22. Even without an official stop watch, there is such a noticeable difference. Both from the same exact spot on the field.
  23. With all props to Hyde, it's also because noodle-arm McCorkle threw a lame duck that took forever to get there. Funniest thing is, Josh made almost the exact same throw to Sanders for a 34 yd TD, except his had no chance of getting picked because it was a absolute missile. I love watching those two plays next to each other. Such a difference in QB.
  24. I didnt know it was ever on NFLN. It's on HBO, and now Hulu.
  25. It was basically a 2 year contract, and they wanted to see what Dabol could do with him. He is gone after this season, and they'll save $20M in cap by cutting him. I was more surprised the Giants didnt trade back or out of the 1st this year to gain another 1st next year for maneuvering in the 2025 draft. They wouldnt be in any better place right now had they let him walk and were starting Tyrod.
