  1. Late June/Early July was nuts! Even adding fresh water didnt help because the "cold" hose water was 80+ out of the tap. It's settling down now with the cooler nights and shorter days. Maintaining right in the mid 80s.
  2. So funny that all us dudes are aligned on the temps. I like it warm 88-90. My wife wants it "crisp and refreshing". Although, I agree with @Augie, it can definitely get too hot. I had to throw 4 bags of ice in the pool for our July 4th party because the temp was 96 (and we dont even have a heater!)
  3. Just Bill or the whole team?
  4. Sure, maybe. But I still want to know since this thread got me curious. Interesting there was so little context given in the original tweet and video.
  5. I skimmed the thread and didnt see it posted, and it certainly isnt mentioned in the tweet, but: Where do the Chiefs rank in goal line passing? What teams are ranked at the top?
  6. We currently have a budget above ground pool. Little 12ft guy from Intex. Got it going into COVID summer 2020 and it's been invaluable. Great little investment for the amount of use my kid (and us parents) get out of it. Being in Atlanta we use it from May 1 to October. All in, with all the accessories and upgraded filter pump etc, it's only been about $500 total. We've had it for 4 years now and no issues. If anyone is looking for a cheap and easy pool for the kids, you cant beat it. That said, we are to the point of redoing the house and yard and looking at in-ground pools next. So far, we got some pricing on some fiberglass, molded in-ground pools. We're looking about $35k-50k for the pool, pumps, plumbing, and concrete. Not too bad.
  7. Everyone drops balls. Even Larry Fitzgerald had a ton of drops. Cooks' drops unfortunately came on a couple of potentially big plays that would likely have been TDs. But I dont buy that he was any less reliable than most pass-catching RBs.
  8. I'd say this misrepresents a lot of successful CEOs, and that guy certainly didnt have a business degree or knew what a CEO does. Now, there are certainly many who have tried to take that aloof, hands-off approach, thinking it's an easy gig. But either they or the company wont last too long. The best CEOs I've known are the ones that get their hands dirty. The best one I've ever known, I caught in the warehouse doing some menial grunt work one time, and when I called him out on why the boss would be doing that, he responded "When you are CEO, all that means is: any job you dont have someone specifically hired to do, becomes your job". Learned a big lesson that day. Followed that guy across 4 different companies. I think that is more of the leadership Terry is looking to get out of his highest paid employee not named Pegula.
  9. Roger Goodell/NFL Offices must love Sean McDermott. Their marketing team figured out a long time ago that scoring/offense and QBs sell tickets and advertising revenue. And NO ONE makes QBs look better than Sean McDermott. Whether it's Easton Stick, Mac Jones, Zach Wilson, Trevor Lawrence, or Caleb Williams making his debut - McD gonna let them cook. (expect Tua, lol Dolphins) (that said, its just preseason and I'm really not worried at all. Two different teams at two very different stages working on very different things)
  10. You dont check the score to see who won a preseason game, you check the injury report.
  11. Picked up this one on lids.com a couple weeks back for the new season.
  12. Keep him out of the AFC.
  13. Yeah, I think it can hurt the team more than being an advantage. Especially when you are talking about $97M void years. If I was GM, I think I cap void years at $5M. Good way to find a little wiggle room, bad way to pay out big contracts. Of course, if they expect to sign Hurts to a 3rd deal then it doesnt matter much because it all gets rewritten. I assume that is their thought process. But not sure Im sold on the long term viability of Hurts.
  14. He's been a butthead since college, and likely well before that too. This is like year 20 of him being a butthead.
  15. Sorry if it wasnt clear, I was mainly talking about paying TWO receivers. They're locked into Deebo for his role in Shanahan's Offense, but I dont see him lasting much longer health-wise. They obviously tried to sign Aiyuk to a big deal, but not as big as the WR market would dictate. I know you have Philly as an example of 2 WRs and a QB getting paid, but we'll see what that does to their team building options going forward. It has already decimated Miami (not that I mind that).
  16. In their plans "to a limit", and once they hit a certain $ amount, they get too far down that high-priced spectrum that starts hindering other areas. I'm sure they'd all be in their plan at team-friendly rates. But the FO is realistic. We also dont know the length and guaranteed amounts in the 9ers offer. I have to imagine it was more complicated than $27.5M because that is only $5M less than what Pitt signed him at if everything else is equal (4/$110M vs 4/$115M).
  17. Neither Deebo nor Aiyuk are in the 9ers plan for two years from now, after they have to pay Purdy. At that point, they'll have a couple more WRs on rookie contracts (a la Pearsall) to work through Shanahans offense while they dedicate more of the cap to Purdy, OL, and McCaffery. That's kinda the extreme spectrum NFL teams have to decide on with the WR market. Do they spend a lot of money on known vet WRs? Or draft some cheaper talent to balance out paying other positions? Once you pay your QB you almost have to go that latter, like the Bills have shifted to. Otherwise you end up like Miami with a high paid QB, 2 high paid WRs, no OL and no Defense. Cincy is in this predicament right now with Higgins and even worse so with Chase, and why they drafted Burton....
  18. Imagine if that one guy had put the bomb in his underwear instead of his shoe. Air travel would be quite a different experience!
  19. me getting ready to go into the Bills game...
  20. We also wont mention that facial recognition, which was also beginning to be a boogie man back in 2019 as well, is easily defeated by... wearing a mask
  21. All good man. You aint wrong about the bold. This thread is mainly aimed at Haslam and his decision making. Those poor Browns fans are stuck with him for the foreseeable future...
  22. Gee, where does that come from? 👏 👏 👏
  23. All of them had injuries. Red is almost certainly injured/injury concern.
  24. I was actually surprised in the last episode that they showed how they were targeting the CBs in round 2, and then the players got picked and they had to adjust to their secondary option.
