NFL feeding itself to the sharks (Private Equity)
DrDawkinstein replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bootlickin for the billionaires as they put Americans out of work. -
Locking up (overpaying) Tua, letting their defense walk to afford it, and now this. Good things for the Bills owning the AFC East.

“Jets are in complete disarray” - B/R Article
DrDawkinstein replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
They lost their entire Defense and still dont have an offensive line, just to be able to pay their single-read QB and WRs. Dolphins are paper tigers that might have some good games in the beginning, but will quickly turn into warm-weather cupcakes once winter hits. -
That's not how the recent ESPN poll worked. They had their team reporters ask as many players as they could find. A couple of them who were given the assignment were talking about it on Around the Horn. It was not some official document that went to all players. It was whichever guys some beat reporters could muster up and wanted to talk with the goal of filling offseason dead air. edit: Found the source https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41001234/nfl-patrick-mahomes-lamar-jackson-caleb-williams-quarterbacks-ranking 103 NFL players answer six burning questions about quarterbacks 103. Not even 10% of the players. "The entire league" lol

NFL feeding itself to the sharks (Private Equity)
DrDawkinstein replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not fear. Hate. Hate for private equity firms that are a cancer on the world. All they do is put people out of work, kill small business and competition, and drive up costs. Housing, the trades (plumbers, electricians, etc), veterinarians, dentists, hospitals, even ***** renaissance fairs. All are being bought out, to the tune of billions a year, by private equity looking to suck the life and profit out of these entities before they dump the asset. Of course there is some hyperbole in the thread about the NFL because the owners may be greedy but I dont see them losing their teams either. But letting these vultures in the door wont lead to anything being better for us fans. -

The players have been outsourced to India, the coaches are in the Philippines. Refs are AI LLM chat bots.- 94 replies

Bobby Babich to call Bills' Defense
DrDawkinstein replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Historically, going back to Carolina days, McD abandoned (or significantly reduced) the DL rotations once they had 4 competent/star players on the line. If we had 4 studs, they'd get the majority of the snaps. As it stands, we have Rousseau and Oliver as our best players on DL. And they certainly flash at times, but arent the consistently dominant players they'd like to see to stay out there more. -
I came in here for pictures of bugs.

Fair, but are there any examples that show they are a well-run organization? -

Do you make your bed in the morning?
DrDawkinstein replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall
You reminded me of this post I saw yesterday... -
Yes! We did this all the time in West Seneca. My sister and her family currently live in my old favorite pool hopping neighborhood. Brings back good memories whenever I visit.

Ours did, yes. My point was there are other teams who cut a good portion of their draft picks from this year already. Not that I hold the Colts as any standard to aspire to. That's a low bar. But cutting a 5th rounder from last year is no big deal.

Could be worse...

That just isnt our guy. Like Jim Kelly and Brett Favre before him, our guy likes to sling it and make things happen. The INTs come with it. Just part of scoring so many TDs.

Again, I'm just happy to have our guy in the discussion for "Top QB". Even if he didnt make the Top 3, he made the Top 5. Disagree on the overrated but whatever, that's just defensive players with hurt feelings. Biggest trash talker makes sense, and also probably why some players said he's overrated. See: butthurt.

Pro wrestling legend Sid has passed away
DrDawkinstein replied to Roundybout's topic in Off the Wall
Pic from just a few months ago. Sid a slowed down, happy grandpa... -
Plus, Mahomes has Andy Reid, and even Burrow has an Offensive-minded HC too. Where Josh is on his 3rd OC. (4th under McDermott)

After over 20 years in QB hell, it's just so much fun to have a guy the whole world knows belongs in the top-5 and top-3 discussions. I dont care where they rank him because it's all subjective and nitpicking at that point. Fully enjoying the ride.

I in no way think I could contend. He's got me beat on strength and endurance alone right now as I'm in the worst shape of my life and he has a job that comes with state of the art strength and conditioning services. And I hear you on the grappling/exhausting/suffocating... But we're talking street fight here. No rules. So when he shoots in for a take down there's a good chance he catching a knee to the mouth. And if(when) he does take me down, I'm not above hitting him with the ol d!ck twist!...
