  1. Man, this is so nerve wracking. I've seen enough drafts to know that not all of these WRs will pan out. And the Bills must, must, MUST hit on their pick. The good news is, the last WR-packed draft I can think of in 2014, almost all of the guys taken in the first 2 rounds panned out. 12 WRs in the first 2 rounds in 2014, and really only Paul Richardson and Cody Latimer were misses.
  2. I love Benny, and he probably made the best shot at a replacement or at least a new complimentary song, but yeah. Every year someone posts a new wrong to replace Shout, and none of them ever hold a candle to the OG.
  3. Does this count as our annual offseason "Can we replace the Shout! song" thread? Or is that one still coming in the usual May-July window?
  4. I love watching bad things happen to Jimmy Haslam.
  5. Aw man, Scott, I am so sorry.
  6. I always get jealous seeing guys go to other teams, but ending up with Legette and Bullock would be a decent take. Especially with all the competition for WRs.
  7. Exactly. If McD had just won the Super Bowl in 2021 like we were supposed to, I'd have no problem with him hanging on for 15-20 more years of division champs/playoffs without another ring. But instead, it was a direct coaching error that botched the entire thing and seems like blew our best shot of ever getting there. So yeah, perspectives on Harbaugh vs McD are a little different.
  8. "Lunch Pail" players
  9. They arent veiled, you got that part right!
  10. Every. Single. Interview thread has to turn into people crying about the Rooney Rule. Grow up, snowflakes. It's a pathetic look. Glad to see the Bills are interviewing for that spot at all, because it means McD is getting out of his own way.
  11. It's not you. Crayonz/4mer has been on this anti-pot warpath here for 20 years. Just let him do his thing, it makes him feel better. But dont expect a real conversation about it. I'm curious as to what happened in his past to make him like this. But really not that concerned.
  12. I stopped reading right here anyways. While I appreciate the detailed response, it's mostly a joke line to illustrate the complex mechanics behind the cap and the crazy amount of options and levers GMs have to clear up space. Of course those run out at some point or only make matters worse down the road.
  13. Funny enough he was an offensive assistant for us while Thad Lewis was playing 😆 I dont know that he has a better resume than Brady or even Lewis tho. edit: But I appreciate the research and suggestion
  14. Yeah, that's the only other one I've been able to dig up as well. Not a ton out there.
  15. That "qualified" question was to @Bangarang regarding what available candidates are better qualified than Brady. Nothing to do with whatever race rants yall want to go off about.
  16. Who would you like to see us interview that is better qualified? I guarantee Thad doesnt think so.
  17. For all we know we reached out to EB and he said "no thanks". I dont see him taking ANY interviews right now. So maybe he's waiting to see how everything falls into place. Additionally, as far as the search is concerned, we've discussed it in other threads, but there really arent a ton of candidates out there in general. With the acceleration of promoting Offensive coaches, it has pretty much created a talent vacuum in that pipeline. Any OC worth a darn is already a head coach. Heck, teams already started promoting QB coaches who never called plays directly to Head Coach (Zac Taylor, LeFleur, etc)! Outside of Klint Kubiak (another nepo case btw) there arent that many promising, experienced Offensive coaches out there.
  18. Exactly, thanks. I always find it hilarious that people go out of their way to post things here which only illustrate how little they've achieved in the business world.
  19. We unfortunately can't mention a single black person interviewing for a position without the usual cast of haters coming out, pretending to stick up for the candidate, by limiting their opportunities for growth and networking.
  20. This same bad, tired argument every hiring season. It is absolutely valuable to get interviewing experience and network-building opportunities. I've literally been through this a number of times myself. Interviewing for spots I didn't really have a shot at, but turned into a great opportunity to get on the radar of executives and surprise/impress them. When you approach it positively and graciously, it's a great experience and one of the best ways to build your career.
  21. Gambling stoned just means I'm more likely to never click the "Submit" button on my bets because I got distracted by some rice krispie treats. Now drunk gambling... well, that has built entire cities!
  22. Gambling is addictive and there are lots of people who struggle with this one. With the way gambling is being pushed on all of us, only a matter of time until higher profile people start falling victim. Expect to see more and more of this. Hopefully the league has ideas on how to help the players/coaches/refs who end up addicted. (Spoiler alert: it doesnt) For what it's worth, this is true of most of our jobs. It isnt our employer's duty to punish us for anything that happens outside of work. But if I do something work-related that directly affects the company's revenue or reputation, they will fire me.
  23. hahaha, dead man walking! he'll be fired by 2026 if not next offseason.
  24. Depth with reliable hands. I have to imagine he catches 1 of those Sherfield drops. 🤷‍♂️ Depending how cheap we can get him.
