  1. Holcomb has coached at the Giants (SB winner), Cardinals, Browns, and Panthers all without McDermott. Outside of 5 years together in Carolina, Holcomb's 30 year coaching career has largely been without McDermott.
  2. He was an external hire last year when we brought him on as an assistant, having previously been the Panthers DC. What does it matter a year later? Has anyone seen the candidates that are out there? Or lack there of? Raiders brought in Chip frickin Kelly to interview for OC this week.
  3. This is my dad's famous saying. But he uses "frog".
  4. Taking advantage of all the legal substances in Vancouver, then has to speak to the press as the NHL All Star Captain Full presser, poor Will Arnett
  5. Love AVP as a Bill, but not scared of this at all.
  6. This sounds exactly like the posts I see on finhaven.com!
  7. The complete silence on Bienemy, even after moving out of Reid's shadow, and even after making Howell look good... is quite telling. I do wonder what exactly about him disqualifies him so completely from a HC opportunity. Is it really the baggage from Colorado? Is he really that big a prick in interviews? Baffling.
  8. Or maybe a few hours up the 90? edit: As for the Ohio State job... previously I would have agreed with you. But seeing the coaches leaving CFB due to the new era of NIL, transfer portals, etc, I'm not sure college jobs have the allure they used to. Just saw the Boston College coach talk about leaving because college coaching isnt about recruiting and coaching anymore. It's become a fulltime fundraising job, begging boosters for money in order to buy a recruiting class. Doesnt sound like much fun.
  9. I feel sorry for the Commanders fan.
  10. Whenever I get too down about these playoff exits, I walk down the street to my Miami Dolphin Fan Neighbor's house and punch him in the stomach. At least we still own them.
  11. I would. Just like Kincaid and Torrence (the latter having played EVERY offensive snap this year) this year. We will need immediate starter contributions from our first 3-4 defensive draft picks.
  12. Nah. This year's exit was pretty much expected. At least for me. With the injuries and having to battle through elimination for the previous 6 weeks, plus having half a working coaching staff, I was pretty sure the Chiefs would kick it into "playoff mode" and roll through. Nothing will be worse than 13 seconds. I'm still not over it. Cant watch highlights from that game. And it has numbed me to any further playoff exits. 13 Seconds is now the representation of McDermott I expect to see in playoff games until he proves otherwise. With that, none of these losses hurt. Which is sad.
  13. Couple different things at play: 1. The crazy Qonspiracy Theorists on social media and PPP who have ideas that are completely detached from reality 2. More common, and as @section122 pointed out yesterday, they only cut to her right after Kelce/Chiefs score or make a big play. So fans of the other team associate her with their team losing or having something bad happen. With the in-game emotions most of us go through, I can understand that a bit. But I would hope after the game ends we go back to being rational, reasonable people who have no reason to hate anyone.
  14. I am so so sorry. My heart is with you, your children, and your family.
  15. Haha, he'd be a Safety for us and likely take over Hyde's spot as well as be a monster that Babich/McD can move around and play a ton of different roles. Like Polamalu. Playing him at CB would be sand-bagging him and taking away so much of his potential to roam the field and make plays.
  16. Our biggest injuries have been Hyde breaking his neck last year, Milano breaking his leg this year, and Tre White's bad luck on horrible turf surfaces. No training team is going to prevent broken bones, and I'm not sure what more they could have done for White. The rest of our injuries were just regular old football injuries and the cost of doing business. It sucks because for McD's first few years here (2017 to like 2021) the Bills were on the opposite end of the Injury spectrum and skated through with almost no major injuries. We've been VERY lucky in one area that I dont even want to mention at the risk of speaking it into existence. So I'll just say we've done better than Cincy with Burrow, and keep the prayer candles lit for our boy. hahaha, I love your "spend all early picks on WRs" crusade. But unfortunately, we are no longer in a place where the roster is stocked with vets and we can afford to draft developmental players. That was 2019-2022, but no longer. The fact that every Defensive player we draft will most likely have to start right away unfortunately knocks out your argument. We need to spend premium picks on the guys who will be playing a lot of snaps in 2024, not the guy who will come in as our 5th offensive option. (I am in favor of drafting a WR in the 1st)
  17. Doesnt matter. Let the doctors figure it out.
  18. I am lucky enough to not be too familiar with the specifics. But it was the only thing I could think of to point the family to. Maybe they'll find another option when looking into it.
  19. I think the family needs to start looking into the process of Involuntary Commitment. The specifics can change state to state I believe. Google the 5150 and 5250 codes too. At this point, its a waste of time trying to determine whether it is drugs or mental health. It doesnt really matter while he is still out on his own. The priority should be getting him into ANY type of assistance facility, and let them figure it out from there. Regardless of the cause, he needs help.
  20. I've been around here long enough, and been through so many offseason QB searches for the Bills, to know that if you list 10 QB prospects going into the draft then 1 maybe 2 of them will actually pan out. All the Landry Jones, Tyler Wilson, Brock Osweiler, Jake Locker, Christian Ponder, DeShone Kizer discussions we've had here over the years. I see way more of those guys on this list than anything else. It's also blowing my mind that Bo Nix is getting ANY love, let alone 1st round grades. I watched that kid his whole career between Auburn and Oregon, and don't see why he's getting any mentions. He's this year's Brandon Wheedon. No surprise but I'm not as high on this year's class as others are. I dont even think Caleb Williams, as the top of the class, is a slam dunk pick. I have him as less of a sure thing than Trevor Lawrence even (and I was not a Lawrence fan either). And I'm pretty sure the Bears will ultimately ruin him either way. Out of all the playoff teams, I'd say the Steelers and maybe Bucs are most likely to pick a QB. I'd go with whoever gets drafted by a playoff team to have the most success. My money is on 4 years from now, only 3 guys will still be in the league and maybe 1 of them still starting.
  21. Havent heard of this before, but this sounds a lot like some mental health issues rearing their head. More so than drugs or anything else even. How old is he? Weird that he told you to "look it up" because when I google it, all that comes up are articles connecting it to "Persecutory delusion" and mental health issues. The guy needs help.
  22. I highly, HIGHLY question the bolded statements as well. He likes to think he is intelligent. But far too often nowadays, folks confuse "having thoughts" with "intelligence".
  23. I just picture Rex Ryan sneaking around the Jets offices in a Hulk Hogan disguise. "OH YEAH BROTHER, LETS GET A F$%&IN SNACK!"
  24. AS we should be. Kid is a baller. Reminds me of a cross between Luke Keuchley and Micah Hyde. Not sure about burning multiple picks just to get a 2nd 2nd round WR. With this class we could probably hold tight, keep our picks to fill defensive holes, and still grab more WR talent in the 4th. I'm thinking we double dip as 1st round/5th round, or 2nd round/4th round. Depending who falls where.
