Not Many Great NFL matchups so Far on Game Days
DrDawkinstein replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I guess a lot of it comes down to how you define "great matchups". Are you looking to recreate matchups like the old Patriots/Colts games? Back when they were pretty much the only good teams in the league? Can you appreciate great matchups between a couple of lesser teams? I thought Steelers/Chargers week 3 was really intriguing as a good litmus test of where the Steelers really are with Fields. Saints/Cowboys was fun because I always like watching Dallas implode. Week 2 49ers/Vikings was a good game and a fun watch. There are at least 2-3 each week. Not sure how many more you are expecting in a league of only 32 teams. -
What’s up with the bills usage of Kincaid?

Not entire game, but often enough. -

He definitely was. No one else was around. Found one of them. I know there were a few examples of this. -
Interesting. Especially with Brady being so tied to the Phins in the recent past. They are heading towards the "bring in 'experienced' HC as President of Football Operations" phase of sucking.

I'm digging for the tweet that shows the replays from the Arizona game with THREE DEFENDERS surrounding Kincaid all the way up the field from the moment the ball is snapped. The bigger question is, with so much attention going to Kincaid, why isnt anyone else feasting? -
For the benefit of the HC and GM's jobs, sure. But for the team, if I'm an owner, especially if I'm paying a big QB contract, I dont want anyone behind him. If the Franchise QB gets injured, then just tank and get a high draft pick to either 1. get a new QB or 2. add top talent for that QB (see: getting Chase for Burrow). It makes for a very rough year for the team and staff and fans, but sets you up better than watching a middling backup get your team to 8-9 and a #13-15 overall pick.

The Miami and Jacksonville games were definitely coaching having our talent prepared and ready to perform, and great gameplans and schemes ready. There have been plenty of games where we werent as ready as we could be, but Josh and our talent bailed us out. Josh is good for 9-10 wins each year just on his own, even when coaching is having an off day. That is why we have a ton of regular season wins (when superior talent like Josh will hide team flaws) but then fall flat in the playoffs where all teams have talent and it comes down to coaching. Last night was a pure coaching debacle. The players were not in the right headspace or at all prepared to compete with Baltimore's physicality. And our play-calling on both sides of the ball rarely put our guys in a position to succeed. Anyways, on to Houston.

Was going to say that Atlanta checks all those boxes.

Spencer Brown Contract - Per Spotrac
DrDawkinstein replied to kitchen sink's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel that. It's almost like the emphatic "NO FLAGS!" has turned into the updated "LETS GO!". Gotta take a moment and scan the field before we can celebrate. -

Random talking head says something about the Bills

The media will always praise and over-hype Miami because they all want to be sent there "on assignment". -

I believe Jim and Andre were fighting over Laurie Lisowski back in the day. -
Ehh, at the same time, that was a zombie of a Bills team that was sleepwalking through games post-Hamlin death.

Are you referring to using IVs to recover from nights of partying with booze and cocaine? Or an IV full of cocaine? If the latter, where can I buy one? (Asking for a friend) -

If Marv just implements a curfew, we win at least 1. -

Is this the best coaching we have seen in the JA era?
DrDawkinstein replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing we have going for us is that he seems far away from being ready for a true HC position. So we might get him for another year or two. -
Brett Farve announces Parkinson's Diagnosis
DrDawkinstein replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, he is genuinely asking for more government money for something he believes in and that would help his investment. But when it comes to feeding poor, hungry kids... ***** em. From the article: "Prevacus' founder, Jacob VanLandingham, pleaded guilty to wire fraud in July, admitting that he used Mississippi welfare money to pay off gambling and other debts. Favre spoke about his involvement in a sprawling Mississippi welfare case. At least $77 million in TANF funds, earmarked for poor families, were diverted to the rich and powerful, according to a 2019 Mississippi state audit." To be clear, those are two separate things. Two separate incidents that Favre has been a part of that stole and misused government funding for personal gain of the rich. -
