We are set at WR. Maybe we’ll grab one in Round 6.

I gave you an Angry Face emoji, not because your post makes me angry (I actually kinda agree). But because now you got the Full House! Very few posts get at least one of EVERY emoji! Congrats! -
Chiropractic Care Thread. Trust? Opinions or Experiences Please Share
DrDawkinstein replied to muppy's topic in Off the Wall
Lot of experience here. In general, it's not a real science. BUT there are times and places the right Chiro can help. If it is for direct back/neck pain, pinched nerve, etc, then a good Chiro can definitely help you out. Just dont buy into the homeopathic "I'll crack your neck and it will cure your diabetes" BS a lot of them will try to sell you. When I was an athlete in my younger days, my chiro saved me a number of times. But it's up there with massage treatment as opposed to any real medical benefit. Business-wise, there are generally two types of Chiros. And here is what you need to watch out for. Type 1 will address your problem and get you fixed up in 1 or 2 visits. Type 2 will try to give you a "Whole Health Assessment" and then try to prove to you why you need to get on a schedule of coming in once a week (or more), and they'll never really fix you and keep you coming back forever just so they can keep billing you. Type 2 is WAAAAAAYYYYY more popular and common than type 1 unfortunately. My family has a great Type 1, but he's in Buffalo and I dont think that will help you. Do your research on local Chiros. Good luck! -
JJ McCarthy entering Top 10 pick discussions is just Blaine Gabbert/Mitch Trubisky/Daniel Jones/Zach Wilson all over again.

I can agree with the philosophy behind this plan, but I also know the Bears would manage to F@#% is up as only they can. Mike Tannenbaum is a dummy sometimes, but during the combine he was on TV pounding the table that the Bears needed to make whatever deal they could to move Fields as quickly as possible before the other pieces fell into place. Well, 2 weeks later and the pieces have fallen into place and the market for Fields is drying up. He was right on that one. In typical Bears fashion, they may be STUCK keeping Fields and having to spin it like yall have positioned it. (For what it's worth, I'm not high on Caleb Williams either, and if I were the Bears, I'd be seriously considering keeping Fields and taking MHJ #1. But that's why I'm not a GM)

Probably should, but I imagine Chicago's already inflated price tag would only increase in-division.

Letting a QB of Cousins' caliber walk just to spend a ton of draft capital on a guy like JJ McCarthy is a really bad move. This will be the beginning of the end for Kevin O'Connell.

Dion Dawkins cryptic tweet UPDATE: EXTENDED PER SCHEFTY
DrDawkinstein replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looking much more like a 2-3 year deal with those numbers and dead caps. Gives us 3 full seasons to get another LT. I'll be SHOCKED if he plays on that 2027 number. -
The very first qualifier was "who can block" and I'd say half those guys don't block. George Pickens alone invalidates that entire list. If those guys fit your criteria, Diggs absolutely does as well.
-
Need a Center too. Probably in the early/mid rounds of the draft. Beane has a lot of calls to make over the next couple of months.
-
Bring back Lawson on vet minimum again. Sign another Safety from the stocked FA pool. Draft your next WR1, some DL, and some DBs and lets roll.
-
Mahomes. And Reid's play design and play calling. With those two at the helm, they can work with pretty much any WR as long as they catch the ball. And when in doubt, they're going to Kelce anyways.

Ridder traded to the Cardinals for WR Moore

I've been in Atlanta almost 20 years and this is the most interested I've been in the team. I might even watch one of their games this year! (Maybe) -
I'll never forgive/forget Jeremy Maclin. That was a great thread, all for nothing.
-
He stopped injuring our own guys as much. Which, while half a joke, is also true and important. He single-handedly ended the Dolphins game week 18 in back to back plays during their final drive, which could have tied/won the game. Crushing Hill with a knock out blow and breaking up the pass, and then intercepting Tua on the next play.

24 pages on WR5/Trent Sherfield's replacement? Gotta love the offseason. Hollins should be our ST ace. Apparently, when he was in Philly he even complained about having to play WR when all he wanted to focus on was Special Teams. The issue last year with Sherfield was instead of keeping him to his best suited role, the Bills forced him to step in for Diggs. Sherfield is no replacement for Diggs. Even in spot action. Neither is Hollins. All players mentioned know this. The coaches should know it too.

Fair take, and agreed. Agreed, it's going to be a "careful what you wish for" scenario for O'Connell. -

Agreed on top 5. And mind you, up until a couple years ago (frankly, the Netflix show) I was a Cousins doubter/hater. But the show made me take a better look at him as a QB, and his performance against the Bills in 2022 alone deserves major respect. Watching their interactions on the Netflix show and some other Mic'ed Up clips, I'm very sure O'Connell wanted a new QB. Even if they arent as good a passer as Cousins, O'Connell wants someone he has more control over. There was definitely a butting of heads and clash of personalities and philosophies there betwen HC and QB. At this point, anyone they bring in will be a downgrade from Cousins. We'll see if it's worth it just to let O'Connell truly run the show. Seemed to work with Dobbs last year who just trusted O'Connell and did exactly what the HC told him to do. Until it stopped working. -

He is absolutely a top 10 QB in the league. Mahomes, Josh, Burrow, Lamar... and then it gets muddy and Cousins absolutely belongs in that second group and well within the top 10. I'd rather have Cousins than Dak, Goff, Tua, Purdy, etc. In 2021, Cousins finished 9th in passing (Allen was 8th). In 2022, Cousins was 4th in passing (Allen 7th). Dude can sling it, and he's tougher than he looks. This is the best QB Atlanta has had in a while. Since Matty Ice was in his prime (which seems like 20 years ago). And I'd argue he is better than prime Matt Ryan. -
Classic Beane move of getting pieces in place before the draft. The DL still needs work, and I'm sure we'll be drafting DT early. But we at least have a starting 4 in place if the ***** hits the fan and we cant get our targets. DT and WR in rounds 1 and 2 in whichever order depending who is available.
-
Love this signing, especially in the wake of Floyd's deal coming out
-
Rousseau, Kaiir Elam, James Cook, Dalton Kincaid, and O'Cyrus Torrence all say otherwise. All were drafted to fill big needs immediately. Beane even double dipped at DE and CB with Benford. Only Elam and Boogie havent worked out. This draft will HAVE to be about filling immediate needs because we have so many of them. As to the OP, I see us going WR in the 1st/2nd and again in the 4th/5th. Two picks and a couple mid FAs and we're good to go. Not that many balls to go around anyways.
