And you will be FURIOUS about it!

Dean Blandino, Rick McKay, and Troy Vincent all say otherwise. They are initially going to address it through film review and fines before throwing flags. Sure, a blatantly obvious one that causes an injury will likely draw a flag, and rightfully so. How often do they get horse collar tackles wrong, calling them when it wasnt a horse collar? Rarely if ever?
-
It's not that it wont be enforced. It's how it will be enforced that is a little different. But we already have this in the NFL. There are plenty of hits and behavior that doesnt get flagged in the moment, but gets fined later on. And frankly, I'd rather have it that way than stopping the game and letting the refs influence the whole thing. Well if it's going to be enforced mostly through film and fines then it wont be very vulnerable to manipulation and corruption, so what more do you want? Good video for everyone wondering what and why...

From what I've read, and what Troy Vincent has said, the enforcement of the Hip Drop ban will NOT be done by flags and penalties, and more so via fines after the game. They plan to drive it out by hitting the players in the wallet as opposed to putting that pressure on the officials in real time.

Brandon Beane Addresses Media - NFL Annual Meeting
DrDawkinstein replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure you can. You just sign a new deal. Bills could re-sign him for something like 2/$11M with $6M guaranteed. Cap hit could be low like $3M this year. Still save $7M on the cap from the original deal. -

Man, NFLNetwork has been KILLING me lately with their throwback game choices! MMM today, I saw Hail Murray on the other day, and our 2019 Texans playoff loss was on last week. Looking at tomorrow's schedule, seriously wtf... -
Is drafting Diggs replacement a priority in this draft?
DrDawkinstein replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I'm following the Athletic mock, I'd rather they just reach at 28 for any of the WRs that got picked in their 2nd round. Even McConky over Robinson. -

If we do go with a different position at 28, I'll wait to see how the 2nd round plays out before getting on the roof. I just think it's most likely Beane doesnt get serious about an early WR until next year, if/when Diggs is already gone. It's kinda been their MO. Frustratingly. -
Jeremiah has us taking a DT at 28 in his latest mock

Another Mock Draft (The Athletic 2.0), another DL... 28. Buffalo Bills: Darius Robinson, Edge, Missouri The Bills tried to move up to get one of the top four receivers, but once that didn’t work, they had a deal in place to move down … that also fell through. Moving down would be preferred if the board played out this way. But with the depth of the receiver class, there is no reason to force the pick and take someone who doesn’t fit what the Bills need in an X receiver with speed to get over the top. Instead, they used their pick on another premium position and landed a long, versatile defensive lineman — a selection that had Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane written all over it. The vision is to eventually use Robinson as a starting defensive lineman who can play on either edge or inside at defensive tackle, depending on the situation. As a prospect, Robinson has been compared to Arik Armstead, whom the Bills were in on as a free agent. — Joe Buscaglia -

The Athletic dropped their updated Mock Draft 2.0. For whatever it's worth, yet another DE... 28. Especially given how little future-drafting Beane has done in the past. Still have my sights set on Troy Franklin tho... -

All good, I was just lightly trolling @Warriorspikes51 by stating his plan for drafting WRs but disguised as DT. Now where is that screwdriver?...

Safety Julian Blackmon visiting Bills
DrDawkinstein replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hmm, interesting. I'd think Rapp was the replacement for Poyer, and we needed a sure-handed ball hawk to replace Hyde. Blackmon sounds like another Poyer/Rapp or even Taron Johnson. -
Bills have private workout scheduled with WR Troy Franklin
DrDawkinstein replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been saying right along that I like Cooper DeJean and if he somehow fell to the Bills I'm ok with taking him at 28. Then Joel Klatt posted his updated mock and has DeJean falling to us and the Bills selecting him at 28... and then closes the round with the Chiefs taking Troy Franklin at 32. I had such an instinctual reaction of disgust from actually hearing it that I think it's changed my mind. Gimme Franklin at 28. I'm also concerned the Chiefs jump us once again and nab the WR we want, so I hope Beane is ready to move. -
Yeah I dont think JPJ makes it past Philly at 22 who need to replace Jason Kelce.
-
You have it exactly. They believe he will be on the Bills so you have to bet more to win less on that scenario.
-
Good attempt, but I'm not a fan of either of these. If I had to choose one, I'd probably go with the PFN draft mostly because I'm not a fan of Polk but I am a fan of DeJean. I'd like to have seen the WRs available at 60 in the PFN draft. The best news is that since these are now complete and published it means it won't happen since none of the simulations are ever accurate Would love to see him on the Bills but I dont think he makes it past 20

I've wanted a Center early since Humphrey and Linderbaum, so I'd be fine with the right guy at 28 only as long as we absolutely get Legette in the 2nd. Even if it means trading up.
-
Bet $2300, get $3300 back in September. 43% return in 4 months aint too shabby.
-
Take a DT in the 1st, and then package #60 to move up and take another DT in the early 2nd.
-
None of them are written by actual players.
