  1. I see you are unfamiliar with SEC Country... https://www.ajc.com/education/maskless-student-gatherings-mar-return-to-georgia-colleges/FYTDBTLXBVHKBB52QJ6O3LT7XY/ https://www.cbsnews.com/news/coronavirus-alabama-students-crowds-safety-football-season/ https://bamahammer.com/2020/08/16/alabama-football-tide-player-calls-students-twitter-going-bars/
  2. JMHO, but if I owned the team, I'd wait to see Beane get the Tre deal done, and then extend him. It would reward him for the work he's done, and also set him up to confidently work the Allen and Edmunds extensions.
  3. I have a very tough time getting on board with the bold. For so many years we've watched QBs who are scared to go down field. Who throw for 6 yards on 3rd and 8. Who make 1 read and dump. And it has been horrendous. I understand they played in a different era, but I think of "slingers" like Favre and Kelly. Favre had plenty of years under 60% (lifetime avg 62%). Kelly had more years under 60% (7) than over 60% (4). Those guys were always looking downfield. Always looking to make a play. IMO, checking down on 3rd and long is giving up on the drive. Might as well just punt on 3rd down if that's the case. I'll happily sacrifice Josh's completion% stat if it means he is trying to make plays, trying to move the chains, and trying to make things happen. I think the bad drops by his receivers hurt us more than Josh being unwilling to check down.
  4. I came in here to say that I could see the President title ending up with McDermott in the not too distant future. But that would be a few years away still. Great point about keeping Joe Schoen.
  5. May 3, 2021. That is the date the Bills must make their decision on Josh's 5th year option.
  6. 69%?!?!?!? Besides it being a "nice" number ?, that is a ludicrous demand. Only 5 QBs were at 69% or higher last season. Drew Brees (74.3), Derek Carr (70.4), Ryan Tannehill (70.3), Kirk Cousins (69.1), Jimmy Garappolo (69.1). You can have Carr and Tannehill. They make that list just because they always check down and never make anything happen themselves. You can keep that Trent Edwards garbage. On 3rd and Long, he better not check down to a covered RB just to keep his percentage up. Completion percentage, in a vacuum, is a worthless stat. Josh finished dead last in completion percentage last year, but I wouldnt say he was anywhere near the worst QB in the league. Agreed on more yards and DEFINITELY more points.
  7. Nobody on this board maybe. But plenty of fans for each team would say the same thing about Mayfield and Darnold. Although, the argument there is that they haven't been surrounded with the coaching or talent that Josh has (coaching Mayfield's case, coaching and talent in Darnold's). I don't know that anyone is expecting perfection from Josh this year, but he needs to show steady improvement. Not sure I'd throw him out if he looked exactly the same as last year. He just cant regress. That said, if he shows the same amount of improvement this year as he did last year, we have our franchise QB.
  8. Yeah, no dhgate ever. We're grown ass man wearing a jersey as it is. I appreciate you wanting to spend the $ to get the good one. Had a couple guys come into the Bills bar last year with the "Authentic Game" jerseys. They look WAY better than any other style of jersey. Fitted and almost tailored looking, tight in the arms. Looks like an actual jersey and not a nightgown. Only way to go for a jersey, imo. Side note: I still prefer these customizable "Jersey T-Shirts" from fanatics.com. They will usually run sales, and knock down the price to about $28. You can order any name and number combo. So I have a lot of old and ironic players at a good price. Get 3 or 4 shirts for the price of 1 jersey. https://www.fanatics.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/buffalo-bills-nfl-pro-line-any-name-and-number-logo-personalized-t-shirt-royal/o-3572+t-25371378+p-57384859852+z-9-738317809?_ref=p-TLP:m-NAFH:i-r0c20:po-20
  9. I cant find any info on whether he has a wife and kids or not, but assuming he does... The guy has played on the East Coast his entire career. I'm sure the release and re-sign happened in a whirlwind of trying to stay employed. I'm guessing as things started to play out in reality, and with the way 2020 is going and people having to stay separated, they realized it probably wasnt the best time to try to move across country. And they are already financially sound. I bet he would have played the season out in Buffalo. Maybe he tries a comeback next season if teams are desperate for OL depth.
  10. I would bet good money that Tre and his agent have almost zero interest in getting a deal done this year. And that is the major, and only, hold up.
  11. I'm not sure I follow this. We're in Murphy's last contract year, so cutting him would only save money for us this year. It's a safe bet that White will not be extended this year (and Allen definitely not). So I guess if we were trying to extend Milano, it could help there. But that is about it. For what it's worth, if the only reason to cut Murphy is to get a deal done with Milano, I'd rather wait. Having Milano AND Murphy is more valuable than just having a rich Milano.
  12. He's been on record shortly after the draft (firing) saying Watson was his pick.
  13. McD used Whaley's Team's scouting reports and player analysis. It was the info and guidance Whales gave him that allowed him to make those picks.
  14. I heard Jackie Daytona is tied up in TUSCON, ARIZOONI-YA
  15. That sounds right for those guys for what they bring to the field.
  16. It's driving me nuts!
  17. His drafts produced a lot of competent/good/great players. The problem was the constant change in schemes and player needs. That 5th Round LB hit is a CLASSIC Whales move. Outside of QBs and WRs, Whaley drafted well. Even if folks dont want to hear it. The bigger problem came in "building a team" around the cap.
  18. She didnt get bored. She got boarded.
  19. No way he walked out of the building yesterday without a check. It's a 5 year deal. ?
  20. I love this McDermott world we live in now, where we can sit back and watch this and laugh while our guys are laser focused.
  21. I hope youre as wrong about this as you were right about Dawkins But I hear ya.
  22. I'll refer you back to the Dawkins thread. It isnt a 4yr/$60M contract. It is 5 yr/$61M. Which is $12.2M/year. I understand both sides of the argument, because it comes down to how you want to slice this last year of his rookie deal. It's a smart contract because it gives the Bills a $12.2M averge, but the player can think of his next contract as $15M avg.
