Let’s Get it Buffalo by Diggs Himself
DrDawkinstein replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was most vocal/unhappy when the Vikes shifted to a run-first offense. All the WRs were unhappy, Diggs got most of the attention on it. They switched back to passing, and things got better. I also think Zimmer didnt know how to handle him. I like Zimmer, but he needed to be more Marvin Lewis-like. I think McD will do better with him since while McD is high-accountability, he isnt a hard ass or yeller. Little softer, more direct, more man-to-man approach. -

LETS GO!! -
Also shows we did not overpay for Diggs when looking at the true historical market, and not just Crazy BOB and his 1 spiteful trade.

Agreed on everything except Cooks' contract. It's $8M this year, and then $12M/yr for the rest with $0 dead money, so cuttable (or tradeable) at any time. I thought it was worse as well until I really looked into it.

Karlos Williams making a comeback

He also bailed out and is responsible for the New England Patriots. So not sure how to feel about that one in the long run ? -
Boom, roasted.

He probably doesnt love Beane, but he should respect that Beane made sure to trade him to his old coach and a good team where he would be well taken care of. If he doesnt appreciate that now, he will in time. -
No we definitely did not. You cant compare real world trades with Bill O'Brien trades. He does not represent the market. He is out of his mind, and Texans fans are about to jump off the roof. Someone put this thread out of its misery.

I thought he played out of position at Left GUARD last year? Maybe they moved him around? I know the Panthers OL was a mess last year and constantly shifting. Weird they wouldnt just put him back at RT to have at least one solid position. But maybe they figured Williams was good enough to move around and that was their best shot.

Figured that would get posted here sooner or later. The article is a whole lot of nothin. It's also tough to gauge the true market for OLBs since Spotrac and other sources list a lot of high-paid pass-rushing DEs as "OLB" since they play in a 3-4. I think his projection for Milano at $12M/yr is way high. Unless Milano has an amaaaazing season (which wouldnt be the worst thing in the world). Other than that, there is no news in this article. No confirmations on whether Beane has even tried starting extension talks or not.

He wanted to play in Buffalo. He wanted to keep playing football. He made it through OTAs and camp, and then the season started and after a game and a half he realized he couldnt keep up with the young players anymore. And for a CB, that is impossible to hide because you will get burnt over and over. And when you cant do it physically, the heart goes soon after. The only mistake he made was not waiting until the game was over.

The link somehow just loops back to this thread.???

Karlos Williams making a comeback

He brought his whole family in from Florida just to take them to Gabe's Gate for the wings. Told me he had been talking the wings up all offseason and couldnt wait to get back to them. Thought it was pretty cool at the time. A player craving an old Buffalo-native standard. And then a few days later the reports come out about him showing up overweight and out of shape and I'm just like... ?♂️ -
Yeah, next time youre chillin in the yard on a sunny day, put on American Beauty as background music.
-
You cant even build a High School stadium for $122M today tho.

Sorry, was only referring to myself as a stoner and saying I wasnt into the Dead and also not into Floyd. I respect PF's music, and I enjoy the Live at Pompeii rock-umentary, but would never actively choose to listen to them. They bore me. And I've always wondered what I'm missing that everyone else loves about them. I think with both bands, it's easy to overlook them from today's perspective. But we need to keep in mind, they were really the groundbreakers on a lot of this stuff. You call the Dead a poor man's Allman Bros, but would we even have the Allman Bros if not for the Dead? To me, Pink Floyd is boring, but when they were first putting this stuff out it was totally different than anything done before. I dunno. The only thing I do know, slightly off topic, I ***** hate the Eagles.

I was like you for a long time. I'm also a stoner who doesnt like Pink Floyd. Then it just clicked with the Dead. They dont necessarily do anything that will blow you away in a single catchy tune with an earworm hook. they arent going to "rock your socks off". Hell, it took them decades to break through onto the Popular charts with Touch of Grey. But they do have some great song writing. Some of the best I've ever come across. For me, their album American Beauty hooked me in way more than starting with their Greatest Hits. Besides the well known songs on there, Box of Rain and Ripple are my favorites. Great for putting on around the house when you want something chill, but good, and kid-friendly too. Our 16mo old daughter love em.

That was basically my idea in another thread. Stand pat in the 2nd and 3rd. Then package our 4th, 5th, 6th, 6th, and 7th to move back into the 3rd. Get 3 quality picks who actually have a chance to make the team and maybe even contribute right away. Not bad. I wouldnt be upset if that's how the draft actually played out.

Eh, maybe, or maybe he's happy he got dealt out of Buffalo. I brought up Beane. Read the post he quoted and was responding to. -
I was going to lightly chastise you for making a duplicate thread of one that's currently on the main page. But dude... YOU MADE THE THREAD ALREADY
