I think the culture is there, but we need more wins and achievements to properly pull it off. When push comes to shove with these problem children, you need the wins/rings to back it up. A victory in the playoffs would be a good start. We pull that off this year (at least), then I think we can start taking bigger personnel risks next year.

No rookie camps, a shortened training camp, and no preseason. Defenses are always way ahead of offenses in the preseason. We're probably going to see the same thing through the first quarter of the regular season this year. It makes total sense to not throw a rookie QB out to the wolves to start the season. There's no need to waste your rookie QB in a season that has no expectations and every excuse built in.

I have never heard anyone mention caveats and disclaimers when talking about the Washington Super Bowl victory of 1987. I'm sure they did in the couple of years following, but everyone quickly moved on and it is viewed as any other Super Bowl. I'd imagine the same will happen for the 2020 season. It still counts, and I'll happily take it.

Honest question, how many teams are out there saying "our RB situation is horrible and we can't fix it"? Is there a team that has RB as its biggest need? (There may be, I just cant think of one off the top of my head) RBs dont need to be "great", just pretty good. And off the top of my head it seems most teams have good RBs.

As long as teams like the Bengals, Browns, and Dolphins exist, it will keep happening. I just hope it is safe to finally leave us off that list.

I'm less invested than I'd normally be at this time of year. I'd usually have a camp trip, and be following roster moves more closely. But once the season starts in 10 days, I'll be all-in again. For as long as it lasts at least.
